10/10 would not recommend this place. This was the only place I could get into without an appointment. Took my dog there two times for vomiting and diarrhea just for them to give her a shot and “take her home and see how she feels.” They didn’t take me seriously until I came back a third time her practically dying in my arms. If they would’ve done their jobs the first visit my dog would still be alive. So unless you want a dead animal to return home with do yourself a favor and pick a different vet. Read Less

Girls at the desk lost my paperwork. Girl said it was gone. I talk to office manager. She found it. It was in outgoing mail. I think that put ME on the list there. They don't know my address. Was on every check I wrote them. One day one of the alleged vets went at me. It didn't involve her. She blew up the situation, not me. E. She accused me of being an incompetent pet owner. Shes an incompetent vet. She said my sister dog was okay for operation. She did it and my sister dog died. In her Biography, she says she loves to operate. Its horrible to be assured the operation will be safe, to pay, pick up your dog to take your pet home and have to bury your animal. My sister found another vet and so did I. No waiting for hours. They take emergencies. They're GOOD vets. The women at the desk keep it all straight. Read Less

They can only handle checkup and shots. I took my boy there and they kept calling him a girl even after every correction. They took my cat said it would be 650 for two days it turned into over 800 for one day. I have never had a vet argue and get offended over me not wanting to uthanized my family. I tried to see him and they would not let me. They all seemed very uncompassionate and uncaring when he passed. I truly believe they uthanized him without consent. I don't know why I went back a few years ago we took our bulldog there at christmas. They preformed an emergency surgery then called and told us to come pick her up she has failing Kidneys said there would be no one there through the holidays. Just threw her out like a used rag. If they treat our pets like their own I assume there won't be to many pets left. Read Less

My poor elderly cat, Tilly, was 39th in line to be acknowledged by Ft. Wright Noah's Ark. I had called them a bit after 10:00 July 31st, 2020. We were then told by text that we were 4th in line. When we got there we were advised by text that wee missed our window of opportunity. My Tilly had urinated on herself and in her cat carrier all this time waiting. Cats can't be let out of the car to urinate or defecate like dogs. The car smelled of urine. Also, there was only one technician doing paperwork and greeting people (all of us with masks) outside. These people have a very poor way of handling the numbers of animals that require services. They are very cavalier and dismissive of their animals and clientele. They are too big for their britches - ca-ching, ca-ching. I now need to pay $40.00 to have Tilly cleaned up. The groomer is right next store and connected to this facility and she says cats hate being cleaned in water. Cat carrier is full of urine and Tilly is trying to lick herself clean. Boo to you Noah's Ark. Please see your smaller vet even though you may pay a bit more. Maureen Grady-Gerrein Read Less

I unexpectedly found myself in a bind with six cats and nowhere to go. I thought about Noah’s ark. I called and they had room. I couldn’t be more happy. I was delighted when I saw the cat quarters. They’re kitty condos, nice and bright, off the floor, NO dogs, private room. They have room in the condos. Their spaces are clean. They employ a lot of very energetic young girls that love cats. God bless em. My cats get attention. The girls have their favorites and are familiar with their personalities. You couldn’t ask for better care. Read Less

Just took my new rescue dog to Noah's Ark last evening after work and the place was hopping, with two emergencies in the back and a waiting room full of great animals. The beauty of Noah's Ark is that their hours are so flexible for working people, and again it can be its biggest deterrent/complaint. As long as you know this ahead, just go with the flow. All of the employees were great to talk to, watch and more. When my new dog and I got back to the room, our CSR and vet techs were interactive and informative. I love Dr. Hogan - my first time with her. These folks loved my dog and everyone else's animal there. The pricing cannot be beat. 5 stars for service, 4 stars for crazy waiting - but, it was worth it in the end. Thank you Noah's Ark!! Read Less

We haven't had any bad experiences to report other than long wait times which is to be expected on a first come first serve basis. The pricing is so affordable compared to other vets that it makes it worth our time to wait. When I brought my cat in to be declawed earlier this week, she was perfectly happy and healthy. However, now she is wheezing/coughing and seems to have a "cold". I called the clinic to ask if they have any idea what this could be, because clearly this is not a side effect of declawing (this is not stress related coughing), but they said I would have to come in and pay for another appointment! I'm too afraid to bring her back in because I don't know what other sicknesses she could get. Honestly, I would just avoid this place all together. Absolutely terrible place. I took my kitten to get spayed here, and before an animal can be spayed they must have vaccinations so I had that done first. After waiting 4 hours for a room and another 45 minutes to be seen, they hand me back my kitten with a leg soaked in blood and still actively dripping onto my hands and leg. The tech didn't even notice and I was the one that had to clean it up and apply pressure because she just stood there saying it a hematoma like she had just learned that word earlier that morning. This place seems to exclusively hire ditzy young girls as their vet techs who clearly have minimal education about animals. The wait is NEVER under two hours even if you are the only person in the entire building. The vets do not care about your animals at all. I am never going back here. Read Less

Was impressed with the size and cleanliness when I walked in but as soon as I met the vet my opinion did a 180. They don't want to take the time to explain what could be wrong with your pet, what tests will check for, or what the medicine will do for them. They're all about the money and don't care about your pets. They won't say, "Well I've seen other animals exhibiting these signs so it could be this." They have to bring out a paper after meeting with you a few minutes with $400 worth of tests that are probably unnecessary. My dog's condition causes him to look "mangy" and he gets a lot of infections easily. Dr. McGlasson is always helpful and does not make me feel as if I don't care for my dog properly. I can't say the same for the whole staff. I even had a tech admit she passed judgment until Dr. McGlasson informed her of the situation. I have been using Animal Ark for awhile I am part of the wellness plan also ...and was happy with it , but last October, my dog had a weird cough ,and I kept getting an email that she was due for a focused exam , well I took her for that exam and to see what was with the cough she had for couple of days . first of all nobody knew what was the so called focused exam when I asked , well when they heard the cough I was told it was kennel cough ( my dog had the vaccine good till April 2017 , this was October 2016) they took sample for the test , and told me will let me know the following day , plus gave me some meds to treat it, I was told not to worry vaccine company will pay for the cost of treatment , (but anyway I was charged for some stuff ) well after I went home and started the meds my dog got worst , waited couple of days and no call about results , so I called and they didn't find any results in my file ( yes that was disappointing) ...and I told them will bring her back because she was worst , i was seen by a different Vet ,they put a shot and changed a medication , i paid again but there was some amount extra ...but was told again vaccine company would take care , I talked to someone named Christine , who a that time was very polite and told me not to worry . My third visit was same week and finally I was told the test never was done ( they didn't know for sure if was kennel cough) this was frustrating my dog was worst and taking meds that was making her worst !! Finally the last vet ( yes another different than the other 2) ...took an X-ray and found few things ( definitely no Kennel cough) and refer her to another facility for an study they didn't have the machines there , again the people at the front desk wanted to charge me the balance i was told before not to pay , because vaccine company will take care of it , so again Christine who was there explained them what was going on ,and I just paid for what was done that day $94 something...I made the appointment in the other place ,and finally got answers it cost me over $1,000 but is ok , i know finally what she has and she is doing ok . But now ..1/3 /2017 ,I got a bill from Noah's ark with late fee and all ( I never got any previously) plus that was the charge I was told not to worry vaccine company would take care ... I called and explained all this , but the not so nice Christine now , is changing her story and told me ,my only option is to pay or my dog ever would get treatment there ... I got all the papers and receipts . Was trying to reach corporate office to let them know about this , but no luck seems it doesn't exist . I am very angry and frustrated about this , they made my dog sicker , was there 3 times in a week and all meds they prescribed are sitting in my house because she only took them 2 or 3 times , plus after 3 months they are sending me a bill for a charge I didn't suppose to worry ?! Unfortunately, I had to take my 11 year-old dog here today to put her to sleep. We arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday and they were already packed with people in the waiting room. We told the front desk worker that our dog's time was up and she immediately put us in a private room with no wait. From there, she explained the process very thoroughly and had us pay up-front before administering the medication. Each employee was very patient, compassionate and told us to take as long as we needed to say goodbye. After she told us she was gone, they left the room and gave us some additional time with her, before prepping to take our dog home. They allowed us to go out through the side door versus going through the waiting room full of people which was a relief. The only thing I would recommend, would be to install a shade you could close in the private room while you're in there to prevent people and nurses walking up and down the hallway from looking in as you and your family are trying to say goodbye when emotions are high. On July 23rd of this year I took my cat in to get checked out. He had lost a lot of weight, was shedding a lot of fur, and not eating. I feared the worst. I showed up on a Saturday morning, which is extremely busy by the way. They've got a neat system that checks you in and notifies you via next message when your spot in line is ready. This makes it nice. I didn't have to sit inside and have my sick cat getting stressed out by the all the barking dogs.It took a while, but we made it to the back room. While waiting in the back room, I decided to look up Yelp reviews on this place. I have to be honest here... I almost grabbed my cat and ran for the car after reading these reviews. I'm glad I didn't. Dr. Matt McGlasson was great. He was quick and to the point, yet thorough and informative. After some subcutaneous fluids, covenia injection, and a dexamethasone injection, my cat was feeling much better. His fever was down and he was noticeably more energetic on the drive home.It was $70 well-spent and I wouldn't hesitate to take a pet back to Noah's Ark. Read Less

I've been taking my English Bulldog here for a couple years plus a few other dogs I had ( husky, lab/pit mix, teddy bear). The veterinarians have always answered my questions to my satisfaction. Some other reviews noted staff unfriendliness, not clean etc. This place is significantly more busy than any other vet I have seen. I have never experienced it being dirty or filthy. Animals do have accidents though and sometimes a person is not available to clean it up right then and there. Maybe lend a helping hand if you're concerned about something. Also, some people need to be more observant and notice when they staff are busy. That means they don't have time for a drawn out conversation. Everyone of us has worked a job and have been busy...have you ever been short with a high maintenance customer that can't seem to notice that you are extremely busy? On that note I've always thought the place was really clean considering there are like 20 animals minimum in that place at a time it seems. The staff has always been friendly me and saved my dogs life in Feb of 2015. I have had long hold times over the phone. Fortunately, I realise that there are other people on planet earth that called before me and I didn't ruin my day over it. Read Less

I've been taking my little toy poodle, Paris, here for at least the past five years. Last October she was diagnosed with pancreatitis from getting into food that she shouldn't have. About three weeks ago I took her back because she was acting weird, peeing all over my house. Which she has never done before. The day after we took her to Noah's Ark they called me back and said she had diabetes. I was a little wary at first so I decided to get a second opinion somewhere else. Turns out she did have diabetes, but this new vet found a large mass in my babies stomach. The mass is a malignant cancer and it has already spread to her blood stream so there is nothing they can do for her. I advise you not to take your pets here anymore because the lack of respect they have for people's pets. The other vet was clearly surprised that the vets at Noah's Ark did not acknowledge this sooner, because it may have saved my baby girl's life. Read Less

I am absolutely livid!! This place is so incompetent  I will never EVER go there again! My kitten was spayed and declawed. I was given pain medication in syringes and was instructed to give to her twice a day. After about a day of giving her pain meds, she was still agitated and couldn't sleep. I looked at her syringes that still had medicine and noticed that the medicine was NOT drawn up correctly. There was still air in syringe. The liquid level should be filled to the top since some liquid will be trapped in the tip of the syringe. I placed the plunger where the liquid is at the top and there was NOTHING LEFT in the barrel of the syringe. My poor kitten wasn't getting ANY of her pain medicine!!! No wonder she was agitated. how would you feel if part of your insides were ripped out and had no medication to reduce the pain? That's animal cruelty! I had to put water in it (about a ml) just so she can have some of her pain meds tonight.I left a message to the pharmacy and asked what her dosage is supposed to be and that no medicine comes out when pushed the plunger all the way through. I got a call back stating her dosage is supposed to be .06ml but didn't say anything about her not being able to get any of her medicine. So I went back for them to get the correct dosage. They went back to the pharmacist on duty to check them out. After a while, they came back stating they were fine. I checked the syringes and it was the same thing. There was air inside the syringe. After I took out the air, dosage was only .01. I told them that there can't be any air in the syringe and especially the tip since it gets trapped in there. Well..... After the 3rd time of going in the back, I finally received the accurate amount of medicine. I changed my rate to a 2star because of Marissa. She was the nice lady at the front desk who was very patient and sincere. She seemed to be the only person to understand what I was trying to show. On the third try she said she made sure there was no air and did a fantastic job and at .06ml. I hope the staff learns from this that when measuring medication in a syringe, no air should be in it. You get what you pay for here. This place is dirty and smells like urine, I brought my newly adopted dog here because I had a voucher for the visit and after getting my large dog crammed into a tiny exam room filled with various animal hair the "doctor" comes in and I explained that we have had my pit mix for about a week and she was really itchy and had an ear infection.  They gave me benadryl for her itching drops for her ears and sent us on our way. We noticed that the itching never stopped she chewed spots into her back side and chewed her paws until the would bleed and had chronic ear infections we brought her back multiple times and all of concerns were brushed away and they would just up the dosages of benadryl. Finally fed up with nothing being done I went to erlanger veterinary hospital where come to find out my dog was seriously sick! She had a staph infection so bad in her feet that her lymph nodes where so swollen that if she did not have allergies he would think she had cancer. If you value your pet at all don't take them here this place may be cheaper but they really don't know what they are doing I will never bring a pet to them again. Read Less

My experience with Noah's Ark is that I have gone there regularly for the last 5 years with our 5 dogs. I also went off and on for over 20 years mostly for shots and heart worm pills since our regular vet was way more expensive for those items. I finally just decided to use Noah's Ark all the time. I have 5 dogs. They have had regular shots and annual visits, sutures for injuries, pre arranged surgeries, and emergencies. One of my dogs is dachshund and suffered a back problem where she became half paralyzed. They encouraged me into waiting it out for several weeks to see what might happen and she recovered after about 4 weeks. They helped me along the way with suggestions and low cost meds for the dog. If they hadn't done that I would have unnecessarily put her down. My latest experience was yesterday when one of our older dogs had a tumor removed from her paw. I brought an old preused e-collar (cone collar) that I already had so I wouldn't have to buy a new one. I also spoke with vet about all the items to see what had to be done or could be skipped. They gave me an estimate - but it ended up costing much lower than I expected. A few years ago, I had a Dachshund with pregnancy complications and thankfully they were open on a Sunday for that visit to their location in Cincinnati. They have super nice office hours, open early in the morning all the way to later in evening on weekdays, Saturday, - and Sundays at their Colerain office. What other vet office does that? When I have had issues with expensive situations they have worked with me to see what items might not be necessary or could be substituted to lower the expense. I have always had reasonable cost for treatment. I think it is important to let the vet know what you can afford up front. Owning a dog can be expensive and sometimes you have to make sacrifices to cover the cost of owning pets. I have seen Dr. Glasson, Dr Black and Dr Bays. I have always had the best of treatment from these and previous vets as well as office staff. They operate out of an older building that has some wear, but that doesn't matter me or my dogs. It is nice to know that they are trying to keep costs down for their customers. I hope they can continue to offer such good service at low rates. Read Less

Waited half hour to go back to exam room, understandable for a Friday night. However what made my experience so negative is after the nurse took my pet's vitals, I waited over an hour with no communication for a doctor to come in. I didn't have any communication regarding to why my wait was so long, and watched people who came in after me, get seen and leave before a doctor even came into my room. I had to leave my pet alone in a room to go see why things were taking so long and was then informed that two euthanasias had come in and those took precedent. The way I was regarded was not very pleasant, and I even had other customers  tell me they were shocked I hadn't been seen yet. Overall, just a bad experience. Read Less

The nurses and doctor I talked to were polite and very apologetic but something is off about this place. I took my cat there to get neutered. When I went to pick him up, he was expectedly unhappy and nervous. The nurse barely helped me put him in his carrier because she thought "he would go crazy on her," which I thought was ridiculous, considering she has to deal with animals all day. Then, two days later, my cat became extremely ill. Apparently he bit someone as they were "running tests" and they didn't think to call me before they reported it to the health department. He died shortly after. As I said before, the workers seem nice and friendly, but something wasn't right.  And I agree with the other commenters; the place was dirty, dog crap was all over the floors both times I went and the line was ridiculously slow.Strongly recommend going somewhere else. If you treat your animal like a member of your family, or you care about its general health and well-being, my strongest advice would be to stay away from this place (also known as Noah's Ark Animal Clinic). I came here for my dog's neuter because it was paid for through the company from which I adopted him. I was originally shocked at the lack of professionalism and cleanliness when I came in for the appointment. The lady who took my dog looked like she hasn't bathed in a week. Her scrubs were dirty, and her teeth were rotted and mostly missing. They used regular old stitches for the neuter instead of modern-day absorbable or dissolving sutures, which means I had to make a second trip back to get them removed. My second trip back, I felt uneasy even driving to the place. I knew beforehand that I wanted my dog to see a different veterinarian, but felt obligated to go to this location to have the sutures removed. When we came into the office, it looked dirty as it did before. However this time, there was a giant puddle of bloody urine on the floor in front of the check-in desk. Despite the fact that there were several hillbilly associates walking aimlessly around it, no one bothered to clean it up. One person did manage to throw a "Caution: Wet Floor" sign over it before sitting back down though. That was helpful. The veterinarian that we saw had some sort of skin issue, and there were irritations and fresh sores up and down both arms. I did not feel comfortable with her lack of knowledge when I asked her questions regarding the puppy, or honestly with her touching the puppy at all. When I started to ask her a question, she would talk over me to her vet assistant as if I wasn't even there, or what I had to say was irrelevant. Of course she tried to upsell me before I left the office, and talked me into getting Trifexis for my puppy. After getting home and giving him his pill, he slept the rest of the evening. Around 2am he had awful diarrhea, and shortly after he was violently vomiting. After doing research on that pill, it seems as if a lot of pet owners have issues with it and it has awful side effects. I also feel like the pill she gave me was for a bigger weight class than what my dog is in. Had I known he would be that sick, I would have gone with Frontline or some other OTC medication. I hope with sincere concern that you find some other establishment to take your animals, because I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Read Less

Will never use this place again! Due to poor advice given to us not to socialize our German Shepherd puppy AT ALL until he had all of his vaccinations, he is now aggressive towards both people and other dogs. Thankfully after his 3rd round of vaccines my husband and I decided to go ahead and take him out. Within 5 minutes of being in Petsmart, our dog snapped at the first woman who approached to pet him. She was also a German Shepherd owner and recommended a trainer to us that had worked with her dogs. He told us that had we waited like the vet wanted us to for our dog to have his next round of vaccines to try to socialize him, our dog would have been beyond help and would have likely needed to be euthanized. This would have devastated our 3 young children who love this dog. Puppies (especially German Shepherds) have a very narrow window of time to be socialized before they can become aggressive towards strangers. Thankfully we were still barely within that time frame and the trainer we are working with is doing everything he can to help our dog. These vets know nothing of animal behavior and very nearly cost me my dog's life. Read Less

Do Not waste your time or money. I had been taking my dog to this clinic for several years. Every time I was told that my dog had allergies, and was given allergy medication, it never helped. We would take the dog back again, same thing. Finally, I got tired of spending $150 per visit with no apparent results. I took her to another clinic and within minutes the vet showed us that she has a tumor in her mouth, possibly cancerous, she has an enlarged heart and possibly congestive heart failure, and swollen glands. NO ALLERGIES! This vet is treating this aggressively, he gave my dog prescriptions and there is no longer any coughing. We will taking her back for another x ray to see if there is a chance that all of the symptoms she presented at the initial visit are still present, and if the medication is helping to clear up the fluid around her heart. He then advised me at that time we can make an informed decision about the rest of her care. I feel that these things should have been caught early on and maybe she wouldn't be so sick now. Read Less

She was taking phenobarbital regularly (2x/day). I took her here for diarrehea and the meds they gave her directly affect the metabolism of the phenobarbital. She was panting and continued to have diarrhea because of the combo, not to mention she wasn't absorbing her seizure meds...then she had cluster seizures and had 4 seizures in just as many hours. They knew she was on the pheno when they prescribed the meds for her diarrhea, they even ran her pheno levels at the same visit. I have been taking my dogs here since I first got them which was a little over 5 years ago. The good thing is that they are cheap. The bad thing is that they are almost always busy If you go in the mornings, you won't have that long of a wait, but if you go in the afternoon or on the weekend then you're pretty much guaranteed to have a horrible wait. I've here 3-4 hours before, multiple times. Another thing I think they could do better would be to send out reminders when shots are due.I guess since the location is pretty convenient and the price is decent, I have yet to leave.I definitely plan on it though especially after my last ordeal I went through. My dogs may have eaten something bad for them that they found in the yard so I had to have blood work done & of course this place doesn't have a lab so I had to go to the Colerain location. I ended up having to go up there 3 different times in one week. If your pet doesn't have a serious medical condition, you most likely won't run into this issue... but if an emergency comes up this is really inconvenient.

Read Less

They won't say, "Well I've seen other animals exhibiting these signs so it could be this." I have been using Animal Ark for awhile I am part of the wellness plan also ...and was happy with it , but last October, my dog had a weird cough ,and I kept getting an email that she was due for a focused exam , well I took her for that exam and to see what was with the cough she had for couple of days . first of all nobody knew what was the so called focused exam when I asked , well when they heard the cough I was told it was kennel cough ( my dog had the vaccine good till April 2017 , this was October 2016) they took sample for the test , and told me will let me know the following day , plus gave me some meds to treat it, I was told not to worry vaccine company will pay for the cost of treatment , (but anyway I was charged for some stuff ) well after I went home and started the meds my dog got worst , waited couple of days and no call about results , so I called and they didn't find any results in my file ( yes that was disappointing) ...and I told them will bring her back because she was worst , i was seen by a different Vet ,they put a shot and changed a medication , i paid again but there was some amount extra ...but was told again vaccine company would take care , I talked to someone named Christine , who a that time was very polite and told me not to worry .

Read Less

I agree with the first review, these guys don't seem to understand drugs mixtures with phenobarbital. My dog began having seizures last year and had had three seizures in the last year. Needless to say, I blame them for the three weeks she was sick followed by the cluster seizures she had. Read Less

The vet said no worries, this won't hurt him. Vet gave shot of phenobarbital and my dog died within 30 minutes because the combo of Benedryl and pheno slowed his respiratory system to the point where he had a heart attack. We brought him back at home a couple of times, but in the end it was no good, there was too much drug in his system (thanks, doc!) and he died. The doc called the next day to see how he was, I told him what happened, and wow, did he ever get off that phone call quick! Read Less
