Affordable, accurate, and compassionate! We LOVE taking our dog here! It is a friendly environment, and the staff really cares about your fur babies! My boyfriend's family has taken their three dogs here for years, and they recommended we do the same! Best decision I've made! Nothing worse than going in for a routine checkup and coming out with a list of charges from the vet; this NEVER happens here. Everything is clearly outlined to us before anything is done to our pet! Dr. Hebert is absolutely wonderful. My cat, Stormy, was in in a serious way so I ran to the closest place possible and couldn't have been luckier to end up at All Creatures Great and Small. Dr. Hebert was calm and reassuring through the situation and I know she saved Stormy's life. Our little girl boo was feeling bad and we took her to a vet closer to home. She still wasn't better after a couple of days on meds from them. A friend recommended all creatures and I'm so glad they did. They let us make an appointment even though it was after hours and the vet took no time in finding out what was wrong and giving us new meds and some great advice! We love her in my household. She is the kind of person that wants what is best for your pet at the most reasonable plan of action for the owner. She has cared for my cat that his been hit by a car (while this could be devastating, she worked, my cat that suffered nerve paralysis from an accident and caring for my dog and other precious cats when they need her attention. Dr. Hebert is an amazing vet! She is kind, generous, professional, compassionate and LOVES animals! I truly believe that she is "God's vet" because she has an amazing innate sense about what is wrong with an animal and how to go about treating/saving them. She has been treating my babies for about 15 years and has always provided the best care possible. She even helped a dog with cancer that other vets had given up on. She is in the office ALL the time, even working weekends and her phone goes to her cell phone after hours. She has often told me what I needed to do over the phone so I didn't have to bring an animal in to the office. She feeds a plethora of stray cats, has rescued dozens of dogs, horses, etc. and selflessly gives of herself to her patients and their human companions. There is no one better! Read Less

Dr. H. is one of the most caring and generous people that I have ever had the pleasure to know! I have been bringing my beloved companions to her for over ten years and the focus has ALWAYS been on the health and care of the animal, NEVER on the money! She consistently goes above and beyond, even giving free advice over the phone so an animal does not have to be brought into the office. Her skill, knowledge, and care have saved the life of more than one of my pets. I have moved to Shelbyville but I wouldn't go to any other vet and make the hour and 20 minute drive whenever any of my animals are sick. Dr. H's prices are some of the most reasonable in Lexington and she frequently doesn't charge for things like fluids during surgery and she discounts other items, all for the welfare of the animal. After reading GeorgeHH's review, I feel compelled to write! I totally disagree with his assessment. Dr. H most certainly loves animals; it's very obvious after talking with her for even 5 mins. Cost has never been an issue with her, in fact, I've known her to say that they would do what's best for the animal during surgery (e.g. fluids etc) at no charge if the owner couldn't pay for that extra benefit. I know she helps ferrel cats...feeding them, rescuing them & finding homes. We took a stray dog to her for a look-over & she phoned a few weeks later to see how he was & whether we'd found him a home (we had) as she knew of someone who would take him in. Her office hours are VERY flexible, and she often answers the phone herself if you've phoned after hours. My only complaint would be that she talks a little fast and a little low, so you have to listen carefully. I'm passionate about animals, in general, & mine in particular, I think she's terrific. Recently had a great experience here, took my kitty in because he had the runs and was under the weather... the vet gave a very lax time slot and was very warm even though we arrived late (oops). She took her time with my cat and even gave us a free visit for it being his first time. I have three cats (have had more over the years) and this is by far the most affordable vet I've been to.... I mentioned my other cat having sneezing fits and she gave me free advice about him, even told me what to buy (outside of her office) to help him out! Now I've never been to a vet who would give outside advice and not beg for you to bring your animal in asap! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, shes great with kitties! Read Less
