If you are reading this and searching for a good, trustworthy vet, go ahead and stop searching because this is the place. We are so lucky why found this place and couldn’t be happier with HPAH. Dr. Cundiff is hands down the best vet we have ever had. Staff is always amazing, friendly, and accommodating as well. We have three dogs and a cat currently and had another cat that passed away fairly recently, all of which have been to Dr Cundiff at some point. Dr. Cundiff always goes over his thought process and detail with you and seeks your opinion on treatment (something very rare in the various vets we have had experience with). He also goes over different treatment options and cost of visit PRIOR to doing anything, which again is rare in our experience. Hartland Park Animal Hospital has the most caring, professional staff I have ever come into contact with. They want make sure you understand everything throughout the appointment, whether it is just a routine exam or a worrisome appointment. My dog had his first seizure and I came in very anxious. The staff very kindly greeted my pup and I. During the exam, the vet tech's were very gentle with my anxious dog and made sure I knew what was going on throughout the appointment. When Dr. Cundiff came in to examine my dog, he also handled my dog very gently and explained everything to me. I knew what he was checking for and why. He also took the time to ease my fears after having to get an EKG for my dog's heart as well as blood work on top of the normal exam. He did not have to come back to talk through everything with me to make me feel a little bit better before we left, but he is such a compassionate vet to take that extra time on me and my dog. I have always recommended this vet to everyone I know, but after such a positive experience with this clinic after a traumatic event with my dog, I feel like I needed to write this review to let those I don't even know how amazing this place is. We had to put Jake down yesterday , our hearts are broken. Dr Cundiff and his staff are awesome. He is such a caring person. I took Jake to him around first of January his right eye had been swollen for a while and was getting worse. Jake isn't very friendly but Dr Cundiff didn't mind. I was really surprised that Jake only growled once at him then laid down. I honestly think he knew he was there to help him. After another visit for X-rays it was concluded that Jake had cancer. My heart broke knowing nothing could be done for him. Dr Cundiff explained everything that would happen as time goes on. Jake was in pain and would continue to get worse. I knew I didn't want him to suffer but at the same time I wanted to be selfish and keep him for as long as we could. My son begged me to wait and not take him can we have a few more days with him it was hard but I knew looking into jakes eyes he was in pain. Dr Cundiff gave me time before he sedated Jake explaining everything that would take place. After the injections when he told me Jake was gone he said I had all the time I needed with him. I'm not sure at this point if we will have another fur baby I had no idea that it would be so painful to lose him. He had been part of our family since he was 7 weeks old. If we do decide to have another one I will take them to Dr Cundiff at Hartland Park Hospital. The care your fur baby gets and the caring staff is so great.
