I started going to this office a few years ago. I noticed for the last couple years that the prices kept sneaking up at every visit; the charges were already at the high end for vets in this town but still continued to increase. I also noted that often I was the only appointment there and the parking lot out front was empty. Banfield bought the practice this summer. It is obvious why- corporate takeover does not occur when businesses are thriving. Failing to bring in new business and compensating by continuously raising charges for your existing clients leads to failure...as it clearly did here. Read Less

I left this practice after several years when it was taken over by BANFIELD this summer. They don't advertise it on their signage out front, web site, or FB page (Hmmm...) but you pay Banfield and I am sure all of the Banfield corporate "policies"are in effect. Once I read the reviews of Banfield at consumeraffairs.com/pets/banfield.html I got my pets out of there fast and have found a great new vet in town. This vet informed me that they had already seen some patients from Lansdowne so I guess others have had the same reaction to the corporate takeover of their "other family doctor." Read Less

Front desk staff person was great! Very inviting, professional, and friendly. However, once my Aussie and I were situated in a lab room, it started to immediately feel like a used car lot with high pressure and guilt-shaming tactics for unnecessary lab and dental work. Fantastic place to bring your critters. I have been a client for a few years, starting with a simple health certificate and continuing on through puppy check ups, well doggy check ups, and most recently 'dog bit the cat' exams. They are all friendly, warm, and very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you are looking for in-out very cheap vet care this is not place.
