The front desk staff were very empathetic when I shared Corbu's symptoms. They gave me the earliest possible appointment which was in the next 45 minutes --- awesome. Unbeknown to me, my husband was also calling to get Corbu an appointment and they gave his the time after what they gave me! Very attentive and we really, really appreciate /value the attention. Never had a pet go through these symptoms, so we were very concerned. The Barbour Lane staff members helped us feel better. Dr. O'Grady was wonderful in the treatment room. Corfu is never distressed after being at BL Animal Hospital.

We've had some extremely sad times and the doctors and staff were so compassionate and kind to help us thru those times . We think the world of all them and would never considering going any other place. We can't say enough good things abt the doctors and staff . Highly recommend to everyone. You would not be disappointed! They are true animal lovers. Our Bentley loves going to see them and they live seeing Bentley.

Blaze and Chase loved the techs and vet (O’Grady?) at Barbour Lane Animal Hospital! Being new to town and loving my babies so much, it was hard to choose a vet I thought I would love because I had such wonderful experiences back home. Based on Google reviews, I took a chance and was not disappointed. They were so good with Blaze, my very hyper Husky/Lab mix puppy, and my cat Chase. I am so happy to have find a place that took to my animals well and although they seemed to be apprehensive at first, they warmed up to Blaze in the end and they complimented Chase as well!

My dog usually walks in nervous and scared and by the time she leaves she is wagging her tail from all of the positive attention. At other vets they have to muzzle her. This place made me realize what a good vet entails. Worth driving to from any place in the city.

I've been bringing my dog, Penny, here for almost 4 years since I adopted her at 8 weeks. The staff are friendly and Dr. Townsend is wonderful. They took great care of her when she tore her ACL from diagnosis to treatment, and they've been wonderful in treating all of her little ailments (UTIs, eye infections, etc.) I drive in from Lexington because I moved there and still haven't found a vet to match them! They also do a great nail trim even though my dog hates it.

We have always received great service and care for our cats. Over the years some of our cats have had chronic difficult health issues. Dr. Townsend and staff have been very knowledgeable and supportive along the way. Our pets have received top notch care here. The doctors and staff truly care about your pet and spend the time necessary to be thorough with you about your pets condition and to answer any questions you may have. Scheduling is usually easy as well. They accommodated us with same day scheduling in emergent situations, and they typically get us right in and out for our appointments. I highly recommend Barbour Lane Animal Hospital.

Can't say enough good about this place...the staff is so friendly, educated and animal lovers. I have brought my German shepherd Zeus here since he was born and he could be quite intimidating to groom or administer vaccines to, but they are amazing with him! I recently moved over the summer and still drive 30 minutes to bring him here. If you need a groomer or veterinarian this place is for you!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. O'Grady, Dr. Townsend, and their fantastic staff. I have been using this vet for 6 years, but my family has used them for over 15 (long before I moved here). As a professional dog trainer, I take the health and care of my animals very seriously and have sought out the very best care. They are professional, kind, empathetic, the clinic is very clean, and the entire staff is wonderful. They handle animals gently and and positively. They are flexible and have always been able to fit me in, especially in an emergency. They hours are also very convenient - they are open in the evenings and on Saturdays. My animals even seem happy to go to their appointments. I have both my personal and professional accounts there are am always thrilled to recommend them when anyone is looking for a great vet. They may be 30 minutes from me, but it will always be worth the trip. Can't recommend highly enough.

We LOVE Mary and Blake. I grew up taking my family dogs here, and when I got married and got my own animals, we found our way here for our dog and cat. We've since moved to Northern KY, and after not finding a vet that we love up here, we came back to them for some issues with our beagle. One office visit and he is SO much healthier and happier than he was. Mary even called me 3 weeks later to follow up and make sure that the treatment she recommended was working. They are always ready to listen and evaluate (without over treating) and their prices are reasonable. They will sit on the floor with your pets and pet and hug them throughout the entire visit as if they were their own.

They are fantastic. At 5:30pm today, I called Barbour Ln Animal Hospital about an emergency issue with my dog. I've never been there, no appointment and they said to come in. Within 15 minutes of arrival they recommended to operate on my dog. This is also one hour before they close. So at 7pm they are done with the operation, but due to the anesthesia my dog couldn't walk. So the vet and staff stayed and hour after closing to make sure our dog was ok and helped load him into the car. Extremely helpful, reasonably priced and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you again for all the help today

Barbour Lane Animal Hospital has been taking care of my pets for 21 years and I cannot say enough good things about them. I trust them completely. I credit them with saving the life of one of my pets and helping me keep my others healthy and happy. The staff is always helpful. I had to be away a few years during this time frame and I missed them terribly. I would give them a 6 out of 5.

Yesterday, my fiance and I took our dog of only a few months to the vet to have his anal glands expressed and to update his shots. It was our first visit there and it could be our last due to the way Dr. Townsend treated us. Our dog definitely has behavioral issues with new or unfamiliar people, but he's made leaps and bounds in the few months we've had him. I work with this dog daily on building his confidence and introduce to people at his speed to not overwhelm him. Dr. Townsend continually scolded us on his behavior and how he acted when approached by a stranger (which is exactly what we're working on with our dog.)I'm guessing because I look young, he assumed I know nothing about dogs or how to work with them. he couldn't be more wrong! My experience with dogs especially dogs like mine is at an expert level. I trained dogs for over ten years and worked in situations where I had to be around dogs my entire life. I wasn't a new owner. I was only a few months in a a dog who experienced bad abuse in a previous home and who deemed all people as threats at one point. He has people friends outside of the vet office. He just didn't know the staff. It has nothing to do with not working with our dog or not. Though our dog had a clean bill of health, Townsend, still kept telling me about giving our dog stuff to chew on despite me saying he already chews on raw hides daily. Townsend kept insisting he ate greenies or dental sticks which our dog can't stomach either.We came away from the vet office feeling incredibly insulted due to the amount of work we put into to our dog being criticized and having my experience with animals period not being acknowledged. It all felt like we were just another routine uneducated couple that adopted a dog.

The front desk staff were very empathetic when I shared Corbu's symptoms. They gave me the earliest possible appointment which was in the next 45 minutes --- awesome. Unbeknown to me, my husband was also calling to get Corbu an appointment and they gave his the time after what they gave me! Very attentive and we really, really appreciate /value the attention. Never had a pet go through these symptoms, so we were very concerned. The Barbour Lane staff members helped us feel better. Dr. O'Grady was wonderful in the treatment room. Corfu is never distressed after being at BL Animal Hospital.

Blaze and Chase loved the techs and vet (O’Grady?) at Barbour Lane Animal Hospital! Being new to town and loving my babies so much, it was hard to choose a vet I thought I would love because I had such wonderful experiences back home. Based on Google reviews, I took a chance and was not disappointed. They were so good with Blaze, my very hyper Husky/Lab mix puppy, and my cat Chase. I am so happy to have find a place that took to my animals well and although they seemed to be apprehensive at first, they warmed up to Blaze in the end and they complimented Chase as well!

I've been bringing my dog, Penny, here for almost 4 years since I adopted her at 8 weeks. The staff are friendly and Dr. Townsend is wonderful. They took great care of her when she tore her ACL from diagnosis to treatment, and they've been wonderful in treating all of her little ailments (UTIs, eye infections, etc.) I drive in from Lexington because I moved there and still haven't found a vet to match them! They also do a great nail trim even though my dog hates it.

We have always received great service and care for our cats. Over the years some of our cats have had chronic difficult health issues. Dr. Townsend and staff have been very knowledgeable and supportive along the way. Our pets have received top notch care here. The doctors and staff truly care about your pet and spend the time necessary to be thorough with you about your pets condition and to answer any questions you may have. Scheduling is usually easy as well. They accommodated us with same day scheduling in emergent situations, and they typically get us right in and out for our appointments. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. O'Grady, Dr. Townsend, and their fantastic staff. I have been using this vet for 6 years, but my family has used them for over 15 (long before I moved here). As a professional dog trainer, I take the health and care of my animals very seriously and have sought out the very best care. They are professional, kind, empathetic, the clinic is very clean, and the entire staff is wonderful. They handle animals gently and and positively. They are flexible and have always been able to fit me in, especially in an emergency. They hours are also very convenient - they are open in the evenings and on Saturdays. My animals even seem happy to go to their appointments. I have both my personal and professional accounts there are am always thrilled to recommend them when anyone is looking for a great vet. They may be 30 minutes from me, but it will always be worth the trip. Can't recommend highly enough.

We LOVE Mary and Blake. I grew up taking my family dogs here, and when I got married and got my own animals, we found our way here for our dog and cat. We've since moved to Northern KY, and after not finding a vet that we love up here, we came back to them for some issues with our beagle. One office visit and he is SO much healthier and happier than he was. Mary even called me 3 weeks later to follow up and make sure that the treatment she recommended was working. They are always ready to listen and evaluate (without over treating) and their prices are reasonable. They will sit on the floor with your pets and pet and hug them throughout the entire visit as if they were their own.

They are fantastic. At 5:30pm today, I called Barbour Ln Animal Hospital about an emergency issue with my dog. I've never been there, no appointment and they said to come in. Within 15 minutes of arrival they recommended to operate on my dog. This is also one hour before they close. So at 7pm they are done with the operation, but due to the anesthesia my dog couldn't walk. So the vet and staff stayed and hour after closing to make sure our dog was ok and helped load him into the car. Extremely helpful, reasonably priced and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you again for all the help today

Yesterday, my fiance and I took our dog of only a few months to the vet to have his anal glands expressed and to update his shots. It was our first visit there and it could be our last due to the way Dr. Townsend treated us. Our dog definitely has behavioral issues with new or unfamiliar people, but he's made leaps and bounds in the few months we've had him. I work with this dog daily on building his confidence and introduce to people at his speed to not overwhelm him. Dr. Townsend continually scolded us on his behavior and how he acted when approached by a stranger (which is exactly what we're working on with our dog.)I'm guessing because I look young, he assumed I know nothing about dogs or how to work with them. he couldn't be more wrong! My experience with dogs especially dogs like mine is at an expert level. I trained dogs for over ten years and worked in situations where I had to be around dogs my entire life. I wasn't a new owner. I was only a few months in a a dog who experienced bad abuse in a previous home and who deemed all people as threats at one point. He has people friends outside of the vet office. He just didn't know the staff. It has nothing to do with not working with our dog or not. Though our dog had a clean bill of health, Townsend, still kept telling me about giving our dog stuff to chew on despite me saying he already chews on raw hides daily. Townsend kept insisting he ate greenies or dental sticks which our dog can't stomach either.We came away from the vet office feeling incredibly insulted due to the amount of work we put into to our dog being criticized and having my experience with animals period not being acknowledged. It all felt like we were just another routine uneducated couple that adopted a dog.
