The girl who answered the phone was extremely professional and nice and did judge my poor parenting skills. They worked me in and from the moment I walked in the door to the time I left I felt relieved! They are so great there no Sophia is home safe and being showered with treats! Thanks again for being the best vet experience yet! They are resonably priced also!

When I first moved to Louisville in 2014, I heard terrible things about this vet practice, so I avoided it and drove way out to another place. Since I moved to just a few blocks away, my neighbors were raving about them and the treatment options they offer for pets with chronic pain. I have been going here a year now with various issues and illnesses that a puppy and an older dog would have. They have been nothing short of fantastic. From their prompt service, to looking for multiple solutions and respecting my input on the health planning of my pet, they are true partners in health. I have seen every vet at this practice and they are all equally fantastic. I feel very confident that I can highly recommend this practice. I think the negative experience was with a vet that is no longer at the practice, so that explains that!

My dog loves coming here and so do we. We don't even live in Louisville anymore, but when we come home twice a year we make sure to schedule her check ups when we do come to town. Literally we live 2500 miles away and still come here, that says a lot. The Doctor and nurses (techs) are the kindest people you will ever meet. My dog gets anxious around new people and places, but she LOVES going here.

Very positive experience. My dog was traumatized after the way he was handled at another clinic. These guys took the time and effort to make the first visit as pleasant as possible, and accommodated us on a subsequent visit so that I could be with him when he was sedated for a procedure and be there when he woke up. I am very thankful to have found such a considerate group that I can entrust with the health of my baby.

The vet confronted me about the review in front of the tech who was rude to me, asking me why I had posted it, etc. How rude! Thanks for confirming that I made the right decision by leaving there.

Took my dog to this place. Because of breathing problems. He is a 10 year old poodle. First visit they said he was in pain. gave him pain meds. but no reason for pain. 3 days later back at vet. Dr. Ma...

Dr. Mattingly did x-rays. Told me he had a enlarged heart. Put him on 3 other meds. 3 or 4 days later back at vet. This time to put him in an oxygen tank. But he would not stay in the tank. So they put me in a room with him and a oxygen hose. And charged me for 2 hrs. of oxygen. which i was holding the hose until Dr. Mattingly arrived. She then did another X-ray. Told me there was nothing wrong with him. I said, I thought he had an enlarged heart. she said well he does. lets continue meds.I'm now 500.00 dollars out of pocket and don't know whats wrong with my dog.Took him to another vet. VET TOLD ME TO STOP ALL THE THE MEDS. THAT DR. MATTINGLY PUT HIM ON.The only thing wrong with my dog is he is older and was over weight. I stopped all meds. put him on a diet. He is now at the ideal weight, and his doing great.Dr. Mattingly really is the worse vet I have ever seen. And I'm out alot of money. and even when I complained to Dr. Nevils she backed Mattingly. And they both still think he is sick.All the x-rays from the other vet went to Auburn University for them to be check again. And the new vet and AU did not find anything wrong. Chenoweth does have a couple of nice vet techs. But other then that the rest of the staff in the front are very rude...SAVE YOURSELF LOTS OF MONEY DON"T USE CHENOWETH IN LOUISVILLE, KY.

My dog is smaller than a guinea pig. She needed to be spayed, microchipped & have another small procedure done. Not wanting to leave her fate up to the skill level of my previous vet (which was questionable), I googled vets in Louisville and picked the one with the highest rating. They took very special care of my dog. They were prepared to do surgery on her with close attention to her special needs. I knew after my first consult with the dr. that my dog was in good hands. Very knowledgeable and attentive. So glad I found them. High recommend.

Since I moved to Louisville in the summer of 2011 I have been taking my dog here for her annual check-up. Because I have lived a few different places with my dog, she has seen a few other vets in her life, and I must say that the vets at Chenoweth have given me the best experience I have had so far. The receptionists, vet techs, and the vets themselves are all incredibly friendly and gentle. My dog loves the attention and the encouraging healthy treats! I have always felt that my questions have been answered and that my dog's health tests have been explained thoroughly to me. The only thing that would take Chenoweth to 110% would be if they also did on-site boarding when I need to go out of town and leave my dog. Until then, I'm happy to see them once a year!

I being a horrible parent cut my cat while grooming her. After shaming myself and silently weeping I called this place. The girl who answered the phone was extremely professional and nice and did judge my poor parenting skills. They worked me in and from the moment I walked in the door to the time I left I felt relieved! They are so great there no Sophia is home safe and being showered with treats! Thanks again for being the best vet experience yet! They are resonably priced also!

I being a horrible parent cut my cat while grooming her. After shaming myself and silently weeping I called this place. The girl who answered the phone was extremely professional and nice and did judge my poor parenting skills. When I first moved to Louisville in 2014, I heard terrible things about this vet practice, so I avoided it and drove way out to another place. Since I moved to just a few blocks away, my neighbors were raving about them and the treatment options they offer for pets with chronic pain. I have been going here a year now with various issues and illnesses that a puppy and an older dog would have. They have been nothing short of fantastic. From their prompt service, to looking for multiple solutions and respecting my input on the health planning of my pet, they are true partners in health. I have seen every vet at this practice and they are all equally fantastic. I feel very confident that I can highly recommend this practice. I think the negative experience was with a vet that is no longer at the practice, so that explains that!

My dog loves coming here and so do we. We don't even live in Louisville anymore, but when we come home twice a year we make sure to schedule her check ups when we do come to town. Literally we live 2500 miles away and still come here, that says a lot. The Doctor and nurses (techs) are the kindest people you will ever meet. My dog gets anxious around new people and places, but she LOVES going here.

My dog loves coming here and so do we. We don't even live in Louisville anymore, but when we come home twice a year we make sure to schedule her check ups when we do come to town. Literally we live 2500 miles away and still come here, that says a lot. The Doctor and nurses (techs) are the kindest people you will ever meet. Absolutely love this place!!! I will never have another vet. These doctors talk to you, discuss options and try the least expensive first. They NEVER overwhelm me with $$$$ they're kind and caring.

Dr Nevils is very dedicated and a great surgeon. I have been taking my pets to her since 05'. I trust her and the office feels more like a home vs a clinic. They even have a cold laser machine that is great to use in my arthritic dog. Its done wonders for him! Its reduced the amount of meds he has to take.

Very positive experience. My dog was traumatized after the way he was handled at another clinic. These guys took the time and effort to make the first visit as pleasant as possible, and accommodated us on a subsequent visit so that I could be with him when he was sedated for a procedure and be there when he woke up. I am very thankful to have found such a considerate group that I can entrust with the health of my baby.

The vet confronted me about the review in front of the tech who was rude to me, asking me why I had posted it, etc. How rude! Thanks for confirming that I made the right decision by leaving there.

Took my dog to this place. Because of breathing problems. He is a 10 year old poodle. First visit they said he was in pain. gave him pain meds. but no reason for pain. 3 days later back at vet. Dr. Mattingly did x-rays. Told me he had a enlarged heart. Put him on 3 other meds. 3 or 4 days later back at vet. This time to put him in an oxygen tank. But he would not stay in the tank. So they put me in a room with him and a oxygen hose. And charged me for 2 hrs. of oxygen. which i was holding the hose until Dr. Mattingly arrived. She then did another X-ray. Told me there was nothing wrong with him. I said, I thought he had an enlarged heart. she said well he does. lets continue meds.I'm now 500.00 dollars out of pocket and don't know whats wrong with my dog.Took him to another vet. VET TOLD ME TO STOP ALL THE THE MEDS. THAT DR. MATTINGLY PUT HIM ON.The only thing wrong with my dog is he is older and was over weight. I stopped all meds. put him on a diet. He is now at the ideal weight, and his doing great.Dr. Mattingly really is the worse vet I have ever seen. And I'm out alot of money. and even when I complained to Dr. Nevils she backed Mattingly. And they both still think he is sick.All the x-rays from the other vet went to Auburn University for them to be check again. And the new vet and AU did not find anything wrong. Chenoweth does have a couple of nice vet techs. But other then that the rest of the staff in the front are very rude...SAVE YOURSELF LOTS OF MONEY DON"T USE CHENOWETH IN LOUISVILLE, KY.

My dog is smaller than a guinea pig. She needed to be spayed, microchipped & have another small procedure done. Not wanting to leave her fate up to the skill level of my previous vet (which was questionable), I googled vets in Louisville and picked the one with the highest rating. They took very special care of my dog. They were prepared to do surgery on her with close attention to her special needs. I knew after my first consult with the dr. that my dog was in good hands. Very knowledgeable and attentive. So glad I found them. High recommend.

When you ask them for a price breakdown before services they will write it all down and you can go with which parts you want. Good place!

Since I moved to Louisville in the summer of 2011 I have been taking my dog here for her annual check-up. Because I have lived a few different places with my dog, she has seen a few other vets in her life, and I must say that the vets at Chenoweth have given me the best experience I have had so far. The receptionists, vet techs, and the vets themselves are all incredibly friendly and gentle. My dog loves the attention and the encouraging healthy treats! I have always felt that my questions have been answered and that my dog's health tests have been explained thoroughly to me. The only thing that would take Chenoweth to 110% would be if they also did on-site boarding when I need to go out of town and leave my dog. Until then, I'm happy to see them once a year!
