Awesome vets! Give lots of time and attention to pet and owners. We have a dog and a cat, and have had great experiences with both. Our dog loves Dr Lackey- she lays by her and Dr Lackey sits on the floor rubbing her ears while she patiently answers our endless questions. Dr Herre has been very patient and helpful with us adapting to having an aging cat (18 1/2). You may spend a few minutes in the waiting room but it is worth it because it means they are giving top notch care to their clients. Had a great first experience at Gailor Animal Hospital. First, the place is laid out in a great design, ensuring that YOUR furkid won't have to share close quarters with others; lots of space. Secondly, they have wonderful ceramic tile floors for your baby to lay on while waiting, as well as benches with ample hiding room, for those who really aren't too keen on seeing the Dr. While waiting, (maybe 10 min, but we were 15 min early) we enjoyed the fact that animals aren't cramped up. We saw Dr Adam Herre, D.V.M. today. He was very relaxed and calming, recommending several different options. The Vet techs were awesome; I couldn't believe how quickly they got her nails trimmed!! They also came in to help hold Denim during her shots. Great!!! We had been looking for a Vet, and came here after reading the great Google reviews, then having a groomer say that was who they recommended also. I went to Gailor Animal hospital last Friday for a nail trim for my dogs. One of my dogs has been abused and is a biter, warned the girl and everything went fine. My other dog came from a shelter and has an unknown past. He is incredibly sweet but unsure. He did not want to go with the girl and I offered at least twice to walk him back. So they basically drug my baby back to the room (I can't believe I allowed it but I was kinda shocked) and apparently he was so terrified that he released his anal glands everywhere. (They were discussing this as they were cleaning it up). Well my mild dog must have been scared to death because he bared his teeth and had to be muzzled for the nail trim. Plz don't misunderstand... I'm fine with muzzling. They did my other dog, cause he will bite. What upset me was if they would have allowed me to have walked him back he would have been a dif dog. An untraumatized dog. My MAIN complaint is that I emailed them a week ago to explain that not all animal owners who offer to walk their dog back are being over reactive. Sometimes we are just trying to help avoid trauma for pets with unknown past. THEY CARE SO MUCH... THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO RESPOND. Shame on you Gailor Animal hospital. Read Less

I typically only rate cosmetics and retail stores but I started taking my dog here and I love this place! The staff is great (we love amanda) and its always clean with great smelling candles. The doctor kept track of my babies shots and flea treatments and gave them to her as needed based on her schedule and how far between. I also plan on using their boarding soon and will post on that experience. I'm not sure where the bad reviews come from cause this place got rid of my dogs worms and has kept her healthy! This Animal Hospital is amazing. I took my dog to Dixie Animal because my dog had been limping for about 6 weeks and they gave her 2 different medicines and did x-rays and said it was inflammation on her elbow joint. But nothing they did worked a friend suggested Gailor and I'm glad she did cause it was in her shoulder and after 2 treatments of laser and some steroids she was not limping at all. I was excited to find a place right in my community. I called to set up a grooming appointment for my Maltese. The receptionist suggested I speak with the groomer first to explore options on how to handle my little one since he has had to be sedated by another groomer. I gave her my call back number and waited and waited for a few days. I called again and was told the groomer is very busy. She apologized and said she would leave another note. Well, two weeks later still no call. I hesitate even considering the veterinarian side since this ordeal has been very discouraging. Read Less

Can't say enough great things about the staff and doctors at Gailor Animal Hospital. All of my fur-babies have ben coming here since they were puppies and my oldest is getting ready to turn 17. I love that they have acupuncture and laser therapy, since doing these for my old man I've seen such a dramactic difference; he actually is running and playing like he is a puppy again! I am fairly new to Gailor Animal Clinic but it was highly recommended to me after my previous vet retired. In the past 6 months I have been many times with all 3 of my elderly girls and cannot stress enough, the wonderful work that the Doctors, Techs and Admin staff do. Waited 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment. I got there 15 minutes early, and waited 30 minutes after my appointment time with nothing said to me about the wait. I asked the receptionist if it usually took that long before an appointment and all she said was there were other appointments before mine, no apology or anything. I've worked for many vets so I get it gets busy sometimes, but that was just unacceptable service. I cancelled the appointment and left. I could have had my dog seen faster walking in at some places. This place is hands down the best animal clinic around. Everyone from the front desk staff, techs and doctors have been wonderful with my babies, two of which aren't the easiest to deal with( they're biters). I was very hesitant about switching vets and they have made the transition to a new clinic with six animals as smooth as possible for me. Plus knowing that I can schedule appointments and not waste away my day waiting to be seen is a huge advantage. Dr. Gailor and staff are tops in my book. Read Less

I cannot praise the staff at Gailor enough for their exceptional service and care. If there were more stars I'd give them. I've been taking my fur babies to this clinic for the past couple of years for vaccinations and routine procedures and every experience has been great. We just went through a spay procedure yesterday and I was very nervous, but Dr. Herre and the girls made me feel comfortable, never rushed, addressed all questions and concerns as if we were the only patients there. Super impressed. I won't ever take my dog anywhere else.I used to take my pets to Dixie Animal Hospital, but they have a huge staircase leading to the entrance. And that's difficult when you have a 100 pound dog that struggles with arthritis.Was looking for a new place and found Gailor. They genuinely might be the nicest, more professional people to have ever lived. Very impressed with the way they treated Cooper, what they recommended, how thorough the exam was... As well, they all seem really down to earth and "just like you." They just happened to be animal doctors.Prices were average for an animal hospital, I'd say. Not expensive, not cheap. I simply Love Gailor. I am a first time dog owner  and been that I Dont have any children my dog (Chanel) is my baby. Everytime I  go to the vet she and I are both comfortable and always feel welcome. I ask ALLOT of questions and never once do I feel like a annoyance to the vet nor staff. Very clean, very friendly, very modern.  The vets here are easy to talk to and really care about the animals.  The 2 vets my dog has seen here have been comfortable with large and rambunctious dogs and knew how to quickly make friends with the dog. Seriously, the dog thinks it is fun to come here. The prices are very reasonable and they have good offices hours even for the average working person.  When my dog took an unauthorized overnight adventure in the woods in 10 degree weather and 1 foot of snow on the ground (found safe and sound at the horse barn in the morning....), I took him by here when they had just opened for the day to get checked for exposure/dehydration/cuts.  They saw me right away without an appointment even though it wasn't a true emergency and even waived the vet visit fee!! I wanted to pay and they wouldn't let me :)Minus one star for some confusion when switching heartworm meds.  I wanted better tick protection and they suggested a certain med.  I understood it to mean it would cover heartworms just like his previous med did.  It didn't though and when I realized it (reading the box ultra carefully, it was vague), I had to go back and buy additional pills strictly for heartworm.  I review things like that but many pet owners would assume the vet wouldn't let them drop heartworm meds and assume each med covers the same basic things.  It took a few phone calls also to straighten out what the dog needed to prevent all those various worms, ticks, fleas etc.  but it was cleared up in the end and only added 1 quick trip my the office (where the dog enjoyed the attention of admiring staff).Overall a great vet office. All of the staff here have been great with our puppy. She always enjoys going and is never hesitant when she needs to go to the vet. I feel very comfortable asking questions which I always have a lot of since this is my first dog.Our puppy had contracted Parvovirus (we adopted her from the Humane Society where she most likely contracted it) and they took good care of her. At first, they had a hard time diagnosing her since she had a "light" positive to the parvo test but our vet didn't want to take any chances. The vet was straightforward with me in that she couldn't say for sure what her chances of making through it were going to be which I appreciated. The staff was patient with me as I called almost every day for about a week to get updates.  Everyone is always very friendly and the office is always as immaculate as I would expect a vet's office to be.
