Sarah and I want to thank Dr. Oliver for help us at the Louisville Bats game Tuesday night. My wife and I decided to take our Pug, Pugsley, to dog night at the Bats game. With the temperature at 91 degrees, before the first pitch was even thrown, we tried to keep our dog in the shade and hydrated. Pugsley suddenly began to seize, something we had never seen. Sarah carried him to the nearest bit of shade and I knew i had to find help. After asking everyone I passed if there was a vet at the game, someone said the best words I'd heard all day, "Lyndon Animal Clinic is down there." I ran to the booth and explained to Dr. Oliver how Pugsley had seized and wasn't coming out of it. At a jog with me we reached Pugsley and Dr. Oliver quickly began treating him for a heat stroke. With his temperature at 105 and rising he knew he needed to get Pugsley's temp down. Luckily he had brought medication to treat dogs when this happens. He was able to bring Pugs around and cool him down. We sat at Lyndon Animal Clinic's booth and Dr. Oliver checked on Pugs periodically to make sure he was getting better. If he wasn't there we really don't know what we would have done. The whole time we were in a panic he was calm and polite with us, he explained everything going on with Pugs, and what to expect from him that night and the following days. I know this is wordy and long but that dog means more to my wife than you know, and I too have grown to love the little guy. Dr. Oliver was literally a life saver. Thank you, Kevin, Sarah and PugsleyRead Less
