Absolutely love this animal hospital /clinic. The staff are always super friendly and kind. This is the only place I take my fur babies to. It inexpensive and they only do what is needed. You can also get food and leashes and other pet related items here at a low cost. Love them!! Read Less

The staff at ANH have exceeded expectations as a quality veterinarian clinic. They have been our dog's go-to vet for many years now and they've always tried hard to accommodate our hectic schedule. They have busy times and they prioritize incoming emergencies (which is to be expected, and appreciated, I'm sure, by those clients), but they always make us feel welcome and they try hard to see us quickly and thoroughly with each visit. We had a wonderful experience here yesterday. Our dog was attacked by another dog and needed stitches to fix a laceration in his side. The vet techs were friendly and kind, and we immediately felt reassured and comforted when we got there. Dr. Burdick was wonderful with us & our dog! I don't know why this place has good reviews. My experiences so far haven't been good at all. The worst offense was recently when I brought my very sick cat in. She was not eating or drinking, and hiding sitting in one spot, weak, not grooming herself, etc. First of all, she wasn't particularly friendly to them so they put her in a sedation chamber which was expensive. Seems a little drastic as no other vet she's been to has needed to do this. After all that and a $170 bill, they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with her except that she was constipated (which they did nothing to treat...) She only got worse, so eventually we took her to a different vet. They found a swollen kidney, kidney stones, fever, severe constipation, and dehydration. All without putting her in a sedation chamber. They gave her all the medicines she needed and she was back to normal in a few days. And to top it off, THEIR prices were reasonable. This is the second time we've paid way too much money for no real diagnosis. Before this we took our dog to them because he was whining and panting heavily at night. They told us this was allergies... which doesn't fit the pattern of his symptoms at all! Other issues... they had our dog all day and forgot to microchip him as we requested... luckily I asked about it... because we were about to go on vacation and needed him microchipped. That cost me extra time, and was way more expensive than other places. The lady at the desk also seemed really confused last time I went about who I was and which pet was mine, getting mixed up multiple times and asking me (alarming) questions that were actually unrelated to my pet. I am beyond impressed with the compassion of the techs & vet. They were not pushy at all to charge me for things I didn't want or that weren't necessary. Most importantly, they treated my four legged friend like one of their own. I don't bounce around to vets, so I'm not sure how their prices compare, but I didn't feel like I was over charged for service that wasn't provided.
