I've never been, but when I called, the receptionist said this place declaws cats (cuts through nerves and tendons to remove the tops of their toes at the first knuckle, leaving them in chronic pain for the rest of their lives). People need to stop declawing cats - it's illegal in the rest of the world, but American vets make too much money from it to do what is right which is to put their animal patient first and stop committing mutilation for money. Pewee Valley Vet has always had quick and friendly service for our dogs and cats. They were extremely helpful when one of our dogs had surgery and frequent check-ups following the surgery. My Australian shepherd was very ill over the holiday weekend. Dr Barnes met us at the clinic and treated him. He's well on his way to being fully recovered. I was so glad I didn't have to stress him out further by taking him to an emergency vet. When we went for a follow up visit it started to rain. Staff at the clinic noticed an elderly woman struggling to push her walker up the curb. 2 of the staff ran out to assist her.
