I don't always love the staff. But I love our vet, Reinhardt. She is so amazing with our fur babies, and our dog absolutely loves her. Even after giving her shots, our dog just keeps trying to give her kisses. Definitely worth the cold/stuck up staff. Read Less

After bringing a stay dog my friend and I rescued to make sure she was healthy and did not have cancer (which she showed signs of) we were told 100% she did not. We went on to find her a furever home, which we did pretty quickly. When her forever family took her to the vet they discovered she had two types of cancer and an irregular heart beat, making surgery impossible. The sweet dog had to be put down a few weeks later. Like any human doctor no vet is perfect, that’s understandable, but what is most upsetting when we called to let them know what had happened after the dog had her second opinion visit the front desk was very nice but the vet was not. I am unsure of which vet it was but she got very defensive and rude to us (we were not mad, just wanted to let them what was missed to help prevent future misdiagnoses) my friend was called a lair among other thing. If you take your animal there I recommend getting a second opinion if you truly feel your animal is sick. Read Less

My girls and I love Dr. Jack and everyone there. Great care, loves your animal like it theirs'. First time I met Dr Jack he put my little bird to sleep , give us a mintue alone with her, as he injected her , I saw a tear roll down his cheek knew then he was the only one for us.(18 years ) Read Less

Everyone at Barnes Mill is fantastic! I was introduced to them when no other vet was going to be able to help with the injuries my fur baby had due to the improper care from another vet, but Dr Taylor came to the rescue! I found an injured kitty in my apartment complex. He was in desperate need of care, but I had to be at a doctor appointment in about 30 minutes followed by a road trip to Indianapolis. I scooped the kitty into a carrier and drove to the nearest animal hospital- Barnes Mill Animal Hospital. I explained the condition of the cat and asked if I could leave a deposit and a contact number. BMAH agreed to care for the cat, accept my deposit, and keep an open line of communication with me. They took care of an animal who needed extensive treatment and they did this on good faith that I would return to pick up the kitty and settle the bill, all the while keeping me informed. Dr. Taylor is competent and keeps up to date with his practice, which is important. But what separates him from every other veterinarian I have encountered is his genuine concern of animals and their human friends. This isn't just a job for him, it is a vocation. He takes his time with the animal and the human, taking a thorough history. You have only to see him with the animals to recognize how thoroughly he enjoys his work. He calls after hours to check on pets with a serious health problem. He goes beyond what most would expect! I cannot praise Dr. Taylor enough. He gave my sweet cat the best care, without pushing his agenda on me, but by giving me accurate information and allowing me to make the decision. With his gentle, knowledgeable care we were able to keep my cat with several serious health problems healthy and able to live a good life for several years. Dr. Taylor cares. My poodle is ancient, and he has cared for him as if he were his own. Hand feeding him at times, allowing me to sit with my baby even though the office was supposedly closed, making frequent phone calls to let me know how he was doing, even taking my baby home with him after a hip surgery. My baby is with him now, and although I have no clue how this will end, I know he has been in the best of hands, and that every thing that could possibly have been done has been done.
