Very personable, knowledgeable, caring and capable Dr Mike Johnson, gives the kindest of care to my animals and instills confidence by his calm demeanor. His staff is excellent, efficient and friendly and his greeters (in house cats) make the visit fun and always brings a smile. I drive 30 minutes to bring my animals to this veterinarian!

Hands down best veterinary clinic in Kentucky. I’ve had many pets and horses in the last 35+ years and been to several vet clinics in the state and I’d never consider taking my animals anywhere else. Dr. Johnson and his staff are not only knowledgeable and professional, but compassionate and friendly as well. Customers are treated like family. I no longer live near the office, but I happily make the extra 30 minute drive because I know this is the place where my animals will get the best care possible. AND their PRICES are so REASONABLE and so much better than all the vet clinics in the cities. I still can’t believe my dog got an office visit, chest X-rays and a full month’s worth of meds for less than $125.00. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s clear they are there for the love and care of the animals over big profits. We are so lucky to be able to take our pets to Dr. Johnson and staff. I pray he never retires. I have probably only written 5 or less online reviews because I just don’t have the time, but I am compelled to share my experiences with this great veterinary office.

Our puppy, Vader, got his shots at 4:30 pm. At 7:00 pm, he started shaking as if he were having chills. I called the office fully expecting an answering service and a long wait to speak to a human... INSTEAD, I got a nice, concise voice message suggesting I press 2 for small pet emergencies. It was immediately transferred to the good doctor himself! He asked about his symptoms, told me what he thought was happening, and gave me directions on how to handle it. Within an hour, Vader was back to his mischievous self! Thanks so much, Dr. J! I wish my regular doctors were as kind, on the ball and approachable as you!

Excellent experience. No waiting to see the vet. He listened to my suggestion that my dog should have a blood panel, and that was done. with her annual health exam. I was given a choice about a 15 minute wait to get results, and I choose to wait. It was, indeed, a very short wait. The clinic is very clean. The staff is all very friendly and efficient, and the vet is wonderful!

During very difficult times with my aging pets he has helped me care for them and he has helped me make the right decisions with reference to their health. My family has been going to the Johnson Veterinary Clinic for five or six years now and we have always found Dr. Johnson and his entire staff to be professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate. We have had several emergency situations that required weekend and late night visits, one of which resulted in having our beloved 20 year old cat euthanized; Dr. Johnson gave us the medical information we needed, as well as all the time and space we needed to come to a decision and to grieve. The office staff always goes above and beyond, whether it's finding you an opening in the schedule, making your animals feel safe and loved, or interacting with your kids. Last week I accompanied my daughter to take her two cats in, and was touched to see that this poster my granddaughter made several Christmases ago was still being displayed in the waiting room. They really do care about their clients! I recommend Johnson Veterinary Clinic and would not go anywhere else!

We have used Johnson Veterinary Clinic for over five years for our dogs. Every single visit has been met with professionalism, thorough evaluation, care, and treatment, and plenty of patience from Dr. Johnson to further explain anything I might have questions about. It is very evident that Dr Johnson sincerely cares about the animals he treats. Additionally, his demeanor is always calm, friendly, and understanding toward the pet's owners. All of our pets have been rescue dogs with issues of some sort, yet he has treated them as though they were prize winning, champion bloodline sires and dams. He has never hesitated to state that we can call him after hours or on weekends if our dogs' condition worsened or we were concerned. He is absolutely top notch and his staff is, as well.

My aunt had been coming here a decade before me and referred them to me when I moved down. THEY ARE AMAZING! Wow! Top notch service! I had previously taken my 16 Year Old Chihuahua "Diablo" to another VET since he was born. Johnson Veterinary Clinic was referred to me. Boy, was I impressed. I showed up a half an early, but they took me right in. "Diablo" and I got out of there so quickly, our heads were spinning. Everyone, (I mean EVERYONE) was so friendly!!!

My mother and I took our 3 year old miniature yorkie to this vet yesterday. She went in with parvo signs , but tested negative. They kept her overnight unsure what was wrong. They gave us a list of things that it could have been. After 365 dollars we were told someone would be with her all night and we could call to check on her whenever we wanted. After multiple calls unanswered last night, at 8 this morning we got the phone call that she had passed away. They showed no remors. They just said we could come and pay 40$ to get her body today or we could pay 100$ to get her ashes. They are fully money hungry people! And I believe that they killed my mothers dog. They have given us no explanations on what happened last night! We were under the assumption that she was going to be okay! I will not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!

I have taken two kittens that were dropped off in the parking lot where I work to Johnson;s, both were in real bad shape, the first one there was no vet in the office and the staff would not even look at the little thing, I ended up taking it to Metzger's where they had a lady who rescues kittens come and picked her up, she later died. The second kitten when I took her to Johnson's she was so malnourished Doctor Johnson could not tell how old she was even from her teeth, they said she was very dehydrated but gave her NO fluids. I was told to feed her what I feed my other cats and in 3 or 4 weeks I could bring her back to be spayed.Three days later I took her back and was told she was in kidney failure and had been for some time for her to be in as bad shape as she was. They then told me she would have to be put to sleep. I am heart broken not that they cared. It cost me $232 to try and save her after someone threw her away.I will NEVER go back to Johnson's!!

They were very concerned, the vet even gave me his personnel phone number in case my dog had any issues after hours. I will be making this my permanant veterinarian!

My family has been going to the Johnson Veterinary Clinic for five or six years now and we have always found Dr. Johnson and his entire staff to be professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate. We have had several emergency situations that required weekend and late night visits, one of which resulted in having our beloved 20 year old cat euthanized; Dr. Johnson gave us the medical information we needed, as well as all the time and space we needed to come to a decision and to grieve. The office staff always goes above and beyond, whether it's finding you an opening in the schedule, making your animals feel safe and loved, or interacting with your kids. Last week I accompanied my daughter to take her two cats in, and was touched to see that this poster my granddaughter made several Christmases ago was still being displayed in the waiting room. They really do care about their clients! I recommend Johnson Veterinary Clinic and would not go anywhere else!

We have used Johnson Veterinary Clinic for over five years for our dogs. Every single visit has been met with professionalism, thorough evaluation, care, and treatment, and plenty of patience from Dr. Johnson to further explain anything I might have questions about. It is very evident that Dr Johnson sincerely cares about the animals he treats. Additionally, his demeanor is always calm, friendly, and understanding toward the pet's owners. All of our pets have been rescue dogs with issues of some sort, yet he has treated them as though they were prize winning, champion bloodline sires and dams. He has never hesitated to state that we can call him after hours or on weekends if our dogs' condition worsened or we were concerned. He is absolutely top notch and his staff is, as well.

I've been with Johnson's Vet Clinic for over ten years now I believe (close to it!), since I moved back to Louisville. My aunt had been coming here a decade before me and referred them to me when I moved down. THEY ARE AMAZING! The staff is unbelievably nice and accommodating and they've truly been there for the best and worst times of my furbabies and I. Thank you Tiffany and Jessie and Dr. J for EVERYTHING! Wow! Top notch service! I had previously taken my 16 Year Old Chihuahua "Diablo" to another VET since he was born. Johnson Veterinary Clinic was referred to me. Boy, was I impressed. I showed up a half an early, but they took me right in. "Diablo" and I got out of there so quickly, our heads were spinning. Everyone, (I mean EVERYONE) was so friendly!!!

My mother and I took our 3 year old miniature yorkie to this vet yesterday. She went in with parvo signs , but tested negative. They kept her overnight unsure what was wrong. They gave us a list of things that it could have been. After 365 dollars we were told someone would be with her all night and we could call to check on her whenever we wanted. After multiple calls unanswered last night, at 8 this morning we got the phone call that she had passed away. They showed no remors. They just said we could come and pay 40$ to get her body today or we could pay 100$ to get her ashes. They are fully money hungry people! And I believe that they killed my mothers dog. They have given us no explanations on what happened last night! We were under the assumption that she was going to be okay! I will not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!

I have taken two kittens that were dropped off in the parking lot where I work to Johnson;s, both were in real bad shape, the first one there was no vet in the office and the staff would not even look at the little thing, I ended up taking it to Metzger's where they had a lady who rescues kittens come and picked her up, she later died. The second kitten when I took her to Johnson's she was so malnourished Doctor Johnson could not tell how old she was even from her teeth, they said she was very dehydrated but gave her NO fluids. I was told to feed her what I feed my other cats and in 3 or 4 weeks I could bring her back to be spayed.Three days later I took her back and was told she was in kidney failure and had been for some time for her to be in as bad shape as she was. They then told me she would have to be put to sleep. I am heart broken not that they cared. It cost me $232 to try and save her after someone threw her away.I will NEVER go back to Johnson's!!

The staff and doctors were so kind and accomodating. I have been there twice, once with my mom to put her dog down and once when my dog ripped out her nail. They were very concerned, the vet even gave me his personnel phone number in case my dog had any issues after hours. I will be making this my permanant veterinarian!
