We traveled 100 miles to have our dog neutered here because of the discount rate that our local vets just didn't offer. The staff was very caring, friendly and understanding of our long travel and made appoint to see our dog was made priority. Facility was very clean and I would recommend this Vet to anyone with a beloved family pet. They even called a week later to check up on our little guy to see that he was making a full recovery! Dropped my pup off to be fixed before I left for a trip to have another family member pick him up later. I was having the Hope center pay for part of the fix through a special fund they had set up. Normally you pay at the end of service but since I was leaving I paid before. After they finally found where the Hope center had emailed them talking about how they were sponsoring some of it, I paid for my part, $30, and left. They assured me they’d call and tell me how he was, I never received a call. They also failed to tell me that if I purchased a $9 “E-Collar” that it would help prevent infection and tearing loose his incision. Now 3 days later, my puppy is back at their clinic with a fever, infection, has lost 2 pounds, is bleeding and bruised. They told my mom when she dropped him back off that I had refused to pay for the collar, mind you this is a collar that I have no clue about, because I could not afford it. So now a $30 surgery has turned into $110+ in vet bills because a $9 collar they didn’t tell me about and lied to my mom about. My puppy also came home with blood on him and bruised around where they fixed him. When my mom called and explained those concerns, they said it was from him being so active. All the dog has done is sleep. Recently my friend had the same thing occur with her cats who were fixed here, infection and ripping of her incisions. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend Buffalo Trace to anyone!!! Pay a little extra and go elsewhere so you don’t get slammed with more unexpected vet bills because of their errors. UNFRIENDLY, UNHELPFUL, UNEDUCATED staff that have caused my poor pup to go through so much this week. What good is an affordable vet when they have no idea what they are doing? Read Less

We took 4 cats in after a referral from the Hope clinic, and were seen quickly. One of them is semi-feral and the staff was more than capable of properly handling her. After one of the girls developed an infection the vets quickly saw to it she was diagnosed and prescribed meds to start treating it asap. They are quite knowledgeable and fast acting even with feral or semi feral cats which was important to us as feral caregivers. Read Less

I have gone once and it was a low cost spay neuter for two animals, they were caring and although the person answering the phone gave me wrong pricing, the vet immediately adjusted and took care of it. The tech Geneva I am familiar with and it really made me feel comfortable having her there. Sometimes communication isn't the greatest everywhere but the care taken of my rescue animals, which was the important thing, was superb. Would not hesitate to go back again. Horribly unorganized office. There has been so much confusion between front desk people, clerical error after clerical error, and now my dog is home from surgery without pain medication. Why?? Because I had to send a friend to pick him up while I was at work, and they simply didn't give it to him. They tried to blame my friend for the error, but finally admitted that one front desk staff member just did not communicate with the other who handed my dog off. I will never take an animal back or recommend this office to anyone. Read Less
