Noah's Ark Animal Hospital is a veterinary hospital and clinic for small animal patients. We focus primarily on needs of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, but also work with other small companion animals. Our clinic opened for business in May 2002 in the Chinoe Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Our two doctors have more than 14 years of combined experience in offering a wide range of clinical experience and a caring touch.

Dr. April Newsome is a 1999 graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Newsome grew up in this area and all through vet school dreamed of someday coming back to her home town of Lexington and starting her own veterinary hospital. The hospital is actually named after her father, Noah Newsome Jr., who passed while Dr. Newsome was in veterinary school. She promised him many years before that one day she would have her own clinic and name it Noah's Ark after him, and now, after years of hard work, she has kept her promise. Dr. Newsome shares her home with her 3 dogs and 3 cats she loves dearly.

My husband and I woke up to our dog yelping in pain, after 30 minutes we decided we needed to take him to the vet. Our typical vet office was closed, and I called Noah's Ark. They worked us in first thing even though they were busy. Every person was extremely caring and knowledgeable which is a necessity for a dog in pain that has anxiety at the vet. Dr. Newsome figured out the cause of our dog's pain and prescribed him some medications to solve the problem. I can't recommend this animal hospital enough. Will be going back for all of our animals' needs.

I would never go anywhere else! I have a blind/deaf dog and they are so gentle and understanding with her. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Very polite and friendly. I love it here!

We took our three cats to these guys for about a year (but then we moved to another city). They were great! The staff and vets were very patient with us new cat owners; they are very knowledgeable (turns out one of our cats has ulcers that come up every now and again, and she's allergic to chicken), and very affordable!

I cannot express how great the staff is!!! Last Friday while moving in our new house (relocated to the lexington area) my buddy Loki was struck by a truck. Not knowing a vet in the area i found Noahs ...
I cannot express how great the staff is!!! Last Friday while moving in our new house (relocated to the lexington area) my buddy Loki was struck by a truck. Not knowing a vet in the area i found Noahs ark on google and they took him right in. They were so incredibly good to Loki and myself (dont know how often they deal with 6ft 300lb heavily tattooed guys literally sobbing over their injured pet.....but they handled it that day). Needless to say Loki and his lil sis Luna have found their new vet in Lex!! Thank you again for all your help! Loki seems to be heeling well, we will be by to visit and donate to the good Samaritan fund soon as he's up to the visit.

My husband and I woke up to our dog yelping in pain, after 30 minutes we decided we needed to take him to the vet. Our typical vet office was closed, and I called Noah's Ark. They worked us in first thing even though they were busy. Every person was extremely caring and knowledgeable which is a necessity for a dog in pain that has anxiety at the vet. Not knowing a vet in the area i found Noahs ark on google and they took him right in.
