I adopted a shelter pup and before taking him home, I was told that he was heartworm positive, so I knew that I had to get him set up with a vet fairly quickly. I called around to multiple vets, but none were as helpful and affordable as Capital Heights. We got an appointment for Tux right away and the service has been amazing! I cannot say enough about Capital Heights Vet Clinic. Dr. Taylor and the entire staff are caring and have always taken wonderful care of my cats. I never worried when I had to leave my cat overnight or for several days for treatment of her kidney disease. I always knew that she was not only in great hands medically, but she would also receive lots of love to make her as comfortable as possible. They have been taking care of my furry friends for close to twelve years and always go above and beyond. Dr. Taylor and the rest of the staff are amazing! They have been part of the community and taking me running in hysterical to making annual appointments and boarding my furbaby. She recently did surgery on him extracting a small, and blessedly benign, tumor on his spinal column and making my senior baby feel like a pup again. We have used Dr. Taylor and staff for regular visits, grooming and boarding. They love the pets and are very knowledgable. We brought our dog in with an "emergency" and Dr. Taylor and her staff took time out of their schedule to care for our dog immediately, even though they were soon closing. They looked him over, reassured the kids he was ok, made him comfortable and quickly returned to the last patients of the evening. The staff is horrible. They routinely lie to customers and the Dr there, Dr. TAYLOR is a joke. Also a little blond skinny girl that works reception is rude and by far cant be very educated. The only person there worth a flip is Brooke and even she is questionable. You couldn't pay me to bring my pet there. Or give me free vet care to that place. Capital Heights has been our vet of choice since moving to Mid-City a little over two years ago. We have two weimaraners - one still a puppy and the other a senior - and both have received fantastic care from Dr. Taylor and her crew. We have leaned on Capital Heights for pretty much everything you can ask a vet to do - spaying, neutering, vaccinations and annual checkups, flea and heart worm medicine, and even emergencies - and they have never let us down.Capital Heights Vet recently moved, ironically, from Capital Heights to Goodwood, but the service has only improved with the relocation, which brought along much of the same staff from the older place. The new building is clean and bright and spacious, things the old one definitely lacked.Once their exercise yard is finished, we are looking forward to moving our boarding and daycare here too so we don't have to synchronize shot records among three different vets.I've had all kinds of experiences with veterinarians who are judgmental, opinionated, or downright aloof, but if there's one word I would use to describe Capital Heights, it's "friendly." I love the cleanliness of the office and promptness which which they saw us. Both Dr. Margaret and Dr. Emily treat your fur baby like it's theirs. I definitely recommend them. When I moved to MidCity, a friend recommended I bring my cat to Dr.Taylor and I couldn't be happier with our experiences there. Dr. Taylor and the staff are great, the clinic is clean and well equipped, the prices are very reasonable, and no one ever tries to sell me services my cat doesn't need. I like how relaxed everyone is, but I know they take the welfare of my pet very seriously.
