This post is long over due for me, but it's never to late to say to Dr. Bob how much I appreciate what you did for my cat Orion. Orion came into my life at one of the saddest months I have ever had in my life. I had just lost my brother who meant the world to me. The day I met my new sweet cat Orion was the first time I had smiled in 3 months. This was back in November of 2013. My son wanted to see the cats at petsmart that day when we were shopping for our dog. I took one look at this cute 6 month old kitten and fell in love with him and I just have to have him. Well just after two weeks of Orion at home with us enjoying life as a house cat he was bit by a spider on his back left leg. As soon as his leg started to become insanely large. I call Dr. Bob right away. I brought him in and Dr. Bob gave him steroids and antibiotics and we hope that would kill the poison in his leg and keep it from going to the rest of his body. The meds did help the poison from spreading, but it killed the flesh on his poor leg from his knee to the bottom of his paw. So by December he had to have surgery to remove all the dead flesh. Dr. Bob had to remove so much of his poor leg. So after about 3 days with Dr. Bob. Orion got to come home with a lot of instructions on how to take care of such a open wound. I'm not going to get into all the details of what he had to have because it is so long, but I will say this that Dr. Bob was so great explaining everything I need to do to save my cats leg. So for 3 1/2 months my son and I changed Orion's bandage everyday. Also Dr. Bob would text or call me almost every other day to check on Orion. By March Orion had grown enough skin so that Dr. Bob could close his open wound with stitches. After two weeks with stitches it still was not quite closed so Dr. Bob took the old stitches out and placed more in. After two weeks went by my cats leg was just about closed. So by then he would only have to have a bandage on for other week. It was hard on my poor cat to go through all of this that he lost a couple of tendons. But we were happy it was just tendons and not his leg. Now as of today my wonderful cat who has the biggest heart. Is walking and and playing (without a limp)his new family all thanks to the best Vet in Baton Rouge. Thanks Dr. Bob my family is forever grateful. For some reason I can't put my pictures up of Orion's leg of after surgery and what it looks like now. So Dr. Bob please put the pictures I sent to you up so that people can see how great of a job you did for OrionRead Less

For years I've been taking my 2 dogs to the big fancy vet hospitals that always catch your eye. I've since learned that was a huge mistake. After yet another poor experience and getting way overcharged, I decided to look for a new vet. I found Coursey Blvd Animal Hospital, and was immediately impressed when the vet Dr. Bob answered the phone. I had a TON of questions, but he patiently answered them all. I made my appt and was impressed AGAIN when I was taken immediately in for my appt. No wait at all! The experience was so personal, and Dr. Bob and his staff were so friendly! (Dr. Bob even trimmed my dogs nails personally! Haha) When I thought the experience couldn't get any better, I found out my dogs yearly shots were $40 cheaper than the vet hospital I used before. I came in a few weeks later to board my dogs (didn't need a reservation!) and they recognized me and my babies instantly! I hope I don't ever have to move out of the area because nothing beats a veterinary hospital that treats you like family. Thank you Dr. Bob, Kristen, and Amanda! Cinnamon and Sugar will be seeing y'all again soon!Read Less
