Jefferson Animal Hospital is absolutely fantastic.  The doctors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They care. The boarding staff is exceptional. Our dogs act happy to be there and they allow them to play outside during the day.  The clinic smells clean, not deodorized.  I know my dogs are well taken care of and if they need medical attention while there they will get the best care. After 15 years at an excellent  (but very expensive) vet with my previous dog, i am very happy with my decision to bring my new rescue pup here. The office staff is warm and welcoming, the vets and techs have been wonderful. Wish i had started coming here years ago, would have saved thousands of dollars. Even after 15 years of seeing prior vet at minimum every 6 months, i don't think he even remembered who we were.  Not sure what i was even paying for to be honest. I have been going here for a couple of years for my dog and have ALWAYS been blown away by the friendly and knowledgable staff. Recently, my dog needed oral surgery and Dr. Hayes did such a great job, I feel obligated to write a review. I was very nervous at first, but they not only called me serval times to keep me updated but also the day after to check up on my sweet dog. Just moved here and had to get my dogs teeth cleaned. Best vet I have ever used for my dog. Very nice people there and the doctor was awesome. Matty was only there a few hours. Teeth look great. The doctor went the extra mile in checking for the dental chews if they were ok with my dogs c/d diet. So glad to find this place. Just go here you can't go wrong. Thanks again.Read Less

I first went to JAH in 1984. My kitty was fourteen, diabetic and misdiagnosed elsewhere. Dr. Sam Haase saved her life and she lived to be nineteen. I have been devoted to this practice since that time. Dr. Haase treated my next cat for fourteen years, despite her difficult veterinary personality. This summer after major surgery, Dr. Michaelson was willing to make several housecalls to treat my other pets.Dr.Hayes saved the leg and life of Alexandra with patience, willingness not to give up and medical expertise. Dr Haase is a very knowledgable, professional and caring vet. My dog is kinda nippy and aggressive and Dr Haase never minds handling him or showing him affection. However, the rest of the staff are completely rude and unprofessional. The other doctors never seem to know what they are talking about, The receptionists always act like you're bothering them when you ask questions or ask for a receipt. They treat my dog like he's a burden WHEN IM THERE so I would hate to leave him alone with them! AND, they are wayy overpriced! They are always so quick to tack on the most expensive medications when there are other cheaper solutions that work just as good-but they won't tell you that. As much as I have enjoyed Dr Haase caring for my dog, I just can't bring him back because after I see him for 5 minutes and he makes me feel welcome, everything and everyone else makes me upset every time I leave. This is THE BEST vet I have ever had...and I've had many!! Dr. Haase and Dr. Michaelson are the most personable men I've met in this profession! I trust them with my lab, Gracie 100%!! After moving to Houston, TX it has been a struggle to find anything comparable to the service I received here at JAH!! These doctors are wonderful vets as well as people!! These fine professionals love animals and their humans. They have provided stellar care to each of my service dogs. Along with another specialist Dr. Michaelson repaired my current dog's ACL so it is stronger than ever, allowing my beloved pup to continue working for me. I've been taking my cat Nico to JAH ever since I moved to BR and couldn't be happier with the service. The entire staff has always been really friendly and was very welcoming when I first came. They are great at making you and your pet's visit feel personal and not just like another patient. All the doctors that have seen Nico have been incredibly nice and made her feel calm and at home.
