Once my 14 year old cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, I started googling veterinarians in the area that offer radioactive iodine treatment (which CURES hyperthyroidism). Dr. Schmidt's name came up and I contacted her. We spoke on the phone and through email and ultimately decided that my cat was a candidate for the treatment. They were very patient with me and worked with me to schedule this when I was available. Their office is setup for separate entrances for dogs and cats, which is great because cats are usually pretty nervous about being there in the first place. Dr. Schmidt was very nice and informative. My cat was given the treatment and stayed there for about 5 days for observation. The staff called me everyday with an update on how he was doing! He's doing great now and is cured from his hyperthyroidism! I would recommend anyone looking into treating their cat for hyperthyroidism to contact Dr. Schmidt. Why go through the hassle of giving your cat medicine twice a day when you can cure him? Read Less

Doctors are great but unfortunately the upfront support staff are incompetent and rude. Refused to allow me to purchase my dogs monthly medication due to an outstanding balance on my account...again refused to allow me to PURCHASE my pets much needed medication even though I spoke with the manager earlier who discussed the balance and informed me that I would have to pay for the medication but that I could come by and get it and it would be waiting for me upfront. Specifically, Brittany, an extremely rude young lady. Appalled to say the least and am unable to administer my pets much needed medication. Read Less

The level of treatment here is awesome. They truly care about you and your pets. The entire staff is as pleasant to talk to as they come and the doctors are as knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions and concerns about your pets, no matter how minute or "stupid" you may think they are. So I scheduled an appointment for my 3 year old ball python after much confusion (they somehow got the idea he was a dog??¿¿) Upon needing to reschedule, I called and was put on hold. After picking the phone up again whoever I was speaking to literally said to me "Okay thank you so much, have a great day. Okay? I have been bringing my beloved dog to All Pets for 10 years. Her vet is Dr Meena Braden and I can't say enough good things about her. She has always been so patient, compassionate, and knowledgable. She really cares and understands that your pet is your family member. She never rushes decisions and makes sure you understand what's going on and what your options are. Her calm demeanor reassures my dog (and me) that she's in good hands. Dr. Braden saved my puppy when she was young and I am forever grateful to her for that moment and every year that follows. I went to three other clinics for my kitty before I came here to figure out his problem. These were the only vets that figured out his issue! Dr. McMullen & Dr. Schmidt really are the best and they have your pets interests at heart. It was a very trying and desperate time for me trying to get the answers for my little boy. Unfortunately, he passed away due to a rare fungus that produced a tumor in his brain, but the staff and vets here did all that they could and were with us every step of the way. Thank you All Pets! Absolutely wonderful experience. A few months ago, my 17 year old cat became ill (unable to eat or get up to go to the bathroom). Since she has kidney disease, I had prepared myself to say goodbye. The vets here took their time explaining all of my opinions to me. One of which was to try an antibiotic- because the illness could be unrelated to her kidney disease. I called constantly to update them and ask questions- they were very kind and patient. Within the week, she was back to her old self. I absolutely LOVE this place. As my animals get older, their health and care become more important. I used to take my 2 pups to Dr. Davezac ...who was AMAZING but unfortunately moved a few months ago and is no longer at the practice. However, Dr. Gwen Fusilier has recently joined the staff and she is equally amazing. Whenever she did my dogs dentals after Davezac left, she came out and wanted to introduce herself to me and thank me for letting her take care of them. Also, after the floods BOTH of my dogs were extremely ill...i rushed them in, no appointment, and Dr. Gwen was more than happy to take them immediately into her care. I cannot say enough good things about her!!!! The staff is always friendly and helpful...they are a bit pricey...but it's worth it to know your pet is in good hands! Read Less

Very friendly and professional staff.  Dr. Fred & Dr. Meena have gone over and beyond taking care of my pups. I always feel that they are in very capable hands. I just picked up my cat Milo today and he was the happiest he has ever been after a week of boarding. My little guy is very picky so I know they truly spent the time to care for him! My wife and I are "parents" to two small dogs, one an elderly rescue puppy, the other came to us as an infant. Both have been cared for exclusively by All Pets Hospital. I really believe you get what you pay for when it comes to veterinarians.  Dr. Schmidt specializes in cats thus is better than most in treating cats.  My 7 month old kitten got really sick with a 106 fever and had to be admitted.  They let me see him everyday after work even when they were about to close.  The staff were very sweet even though JJ wasn't to them.  He had never been away from home or left alone without people or dogs with him overnight.  JJ wasn't eating or drinking so they had him on an IV.  Two days went by and his fever hadn't gone down since starting antibiotics.  Jjs blood work were normal he was seemingly healthy.  He had an ultrasound which turned out fine.  The doctor basically had no clues as to what was causing the fever.  There is a kitten disease called FIP basically if they find nothing else they diagnose them with this.  Anyway I had already been looking up diseases to try and diagnose him myself and had run across that.  I thought to myself that would be worst case scenario, devastating, if JJ had that.  When his fever wasn't breaking I kept asking her what she suspected and she said she didn't know that it could be FIP.    I researched and researched couldn't sleep much then praise God his fever finally broke.  He looked like he started feeling better too.  After another day his temp was back to normal so I was able to take him home.  I had to give him antibiotic capsules and syringe water/food in his mouth.  Eventually he started drinking and eating on his own.  Dr. Schmidt now believes JJ has FIA and doesn't think it will reoccur.  That was so great to hear but she couldn't tell me she was a 100% sure.  It's been two months now since and JJ seems his normal playful self.   This place is very pricey but like I said you get the caring staff, knowledgable friendly veterinarians, and clean nice facility you pay for. All Pets Hospital came to my rescue. My husband and I were going out of town on short notice around the 4th of July. I called our usual place, where we board our babies (2 chihuahua's) and they was booked solid; not even a run for 2 chi's together and even picking them up on the 3rd. So I called All Pets. I had used All Pets when I lived in BR and my parents use to live right across the street, so they were very convenient at that time. I was already in their system. That made me feel really good to know after several years had passed that I'd still be in the system. When I called, they had space and were able to board my babies together in the same run. This was even on a holiday weekend!!! Now, that alone should show how All Pets Hospital goes above and beyond to help their clients/patients/pets/people. My babies stayed 4 days with All Pets. When we went to pick them up, they were so happy and they smelled so good. Sometimes after I board my chi's, they seem a little anxious or stand offish when I get them back. But not this time; my chi's were great. I want to thank everyone at All Pets, the vets and the staff. I spoke with Beth Jarreau, who made my boarding reservations. She was awesome. I spoke with Jill Thaller who was amazing and on top of her game. I wish I knew everybody's name because everyone who works there were very helpful and super nice. When I'm at a vet office I look for cleanliness, friendly people and a knowing staff. This place has all three. They were so nice to my dog. I appreciated how I was talked to and didn't feel rushed. They were pretty much on time with the appointment.When my dog needs help I will be sure to come here. The price seems fair for the service provided although it is a little higher than others. I really, REALLY like this clinic. My dogs are getting older and I am more concerned about taking care of their health rather than finding "cheap" treatment. Dr. Erin Davezac has seen my Yorkie twice and my doxie once. They are really good about calling after pet's procedures and addressing any concerns. The staff is always friendly and helpful as well. This is the BEST vet in BR! I have a French Bulldog, and sometimes he has uncommon issues, allergy woes, or chronic ear infections. Dr. Erin Davezac is absolutely perfect with him. She's gentle and friendly toward my dog, and she remembers what we've come in for before and makes a personal connection with owners, too. We once had an issue that was fairly rare, and she reached out to her connections at LSU Vet to help her with the diagnosis and treatment. Her network and experience is invaluable!We recently started fostering French Bulldogs and we wouldn't bring them to anyone else. Dr. Davezac has been so wonderful to our fosters, even one foster who was skittish and sometimes snappy toward her and the vet techs. This place is awesome.  Dr. Elisabeth Schmidt is a cat whisperer.  She was able to handle my cat Smokey to perform the examination while I was in the examining room with no problems.  I was previously told by another local vet that Smokey would have to undergo anesthesia for this procedure to be done effectively.  This was not the case at All Pets Hospital.  I am very pleased and will be returning for her annual shots and check up in the future. I had the strangest, and most hurtful, customer experience of my 42 years with All Pets Hospital. I came here after our family rescued a Lab, only to find she had the dreaded Heartworm (HW) disease. Treating HW disease, it turns out, is extremely costly (Over $1,000 when all is said & done if using the fast-kill Immiticide treatment), is very complicated w/ dosing & course of treatment, is very lengthy, & is very hard on the dog physically. I had significant concern & anxiety due to these things, but wanted to do right by this beautiful, sweet animal that my children, husband, & I had fallen in love with. The only issues I can think of when racking my brain as to why this clinic has treated my family so hurtfully are - 1.) Dr. Braden was wonderful our (only) visit with a vet, & assured me that I would receive a phone call each step of the way to walk me through the next step (the steps are numerous & complicated). The phone calls never came, so I called myself  to ensure I was doing the right thing, & mentioned to the receptionist that I was not receiving the calls as I was told I would; 2.) I work in health care & have a Master's degree in a health field. I've always been the type to thoroughly research all health care when it comes to my children, myself, & my pets. I was told by Dr. Braden that the HW disease treatment protocol that my dog would undergo was the exact protocol followed by the American Heartworm Association (AHA). Upon researching, I found that there were several steps at APH that were inconsistent with the AHA protocol. I called & expressed my concern to the vet tech Brittany. I told her I was concerned only because I did not want my dog to go through this very costly treatment & her body go through so much trauma & have the treatment fail. She promised she would call me back. I patiently waited for the promised call for close to a month & it never came. I called back myself & Brittany said that she had spoken w/ the vets & they had missed attending the AHA conference the past year & had missed the current updates in protocol. She assured me that the old protocol was one that had proved very successful over the years at APH; 3.) Due to the expense of the HW, I asked if APH would mind allowing me obtain a Rx to order their recommended Multi-Advantage HW prevention drops from a pet supply co.; I was told that this was fine, so I've done this for the last 1.5 yrs. Treatment steps & kennel rest continued for months & then in July 2014, I brought my dog in for a final HW test & blood work. She was tested negative & her bloodwork looked wonderful. I couldn't have been any more thrilled. The vet tech who gave me the results then recommended she be spayed.  I was aware that she needed to be spayed, as she had already been through a messy heat cycle, but I wanted to 1.) give her body a rest after such a traumatic experience, esp. considering she would have to undergo general anesthesia & now had a weakened heart; 2.) APH wanted over $400 to spay her & between the HW treatment combined with my chronically ill daughter's overwhelming ongoing medical bills, I was in a strained financially & my wallet needed a break too.5 months later, in Dec '14, knowing my dog still needed to be spayed & having experienced her 3rd messy heat cycle, I was still in a strained financial position, so as I was driving by the clinic one day, thought to stop & speak to the office manager Jill to request a discount. It never hurts to ask, right? Jill agreed to give me a 20% discount on the spay. I was very grateful & told her I needed to save up a few more months & would call to make the appt.Late Feb '15. I called the clinic & spoke w/ Jill. I reminded her of our conversation in Dec & she stated she remembered, & scheduled the surgery for me for March 13.I scheduled the day off work for my dog's surgery. THREE DAYS BEFORE THE SURGERY, on March 10, I received a letter stating that I was no longer welcomed at All Pets, w/ zero explanation as to why!! I was shocked, devastated, & extremely confused.  My husband happened to be home as well & we decided it must be a terrible mistake. Several times I had called the clinic there were two of us w/ the same owner name & the same dog name, & I always had to explain which one I was. I immediately called & calmly spoke with Jill to discuss the terrible letter I had received & asked if they had me mixed up again with the other client, as I myself had no problems with the clinic. To my shock she confirmed that it was intended for me. I asked why? What was the problem? She refused to give me any further info & promised to have a Vet call me that day. I waited for that call all day at home, & nobody ever bothered to call me! I called the next afternoon, & all Jill would say is that she passed along a request to call me. My dog was scheduled to have surgery the next day. I asked again what the problem was, & she then said it was relate "communication". She refused further detail. Read Less

This is my dog's vet and my first pick for boarding. I board a lot because we travel often. This place is in very, very close proximity to my home and in the direction of my work so it's very convenient for me to drop her off for boarding in the morning before work so we can leave for trips straight after work. While I hate having to leave my dog behind, I know she's in good hands here. The lady that always comes out from the back to receive my dog from me has a smile on her face every single time. I can tell she genuinely loves her job and loves animals. I've asked questions on various different occasions when dropping off, such as concerns about her weight gain since her last visit and concerns about a rash, and I always get a call back about the issue the same morning. I've also boarded at two other facilities in town because All Pets does run out of availability fast, especially during holidays. They all have different things that make them great, but I've requested to see the area where my dog would be staying at and like the space at All Pets best. Read Less

This is an awesome Vet/Boarding center. I was new to the area and needed a Boarding/ Hospital clinic for my dog. The staff was soo friendly and were willing to answer any of my questions. I only used this clinic to board my dog for a few days so I cant say much about the DVM's.. I have a Min Pin- about 7 years old- and he has PLENTY of health problems. They did GREAT at boarding him and taking great care of him. He has 3-4 different medications (eye drops/ pills/ antibiotics, etc) a day and they were able to keep track fantastically! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is because when the doctor checked him out and went through the whole tests and diagnosis with him... again!! I already knew about his health problems so I wasnt about to pay an extra $100 in tests just so the Vet can tell me the same thing I've known for 7 years. So i asked that they take off the charges, in which they did. There was a little push back. But i was more upset that they decided to charge me without even asking if they can perform tests on him. If I wouldn't have looked through the receipt, i would have never known. After all the financial aspects were taken care of, the doc/ vet assistant came out and gave me a few pointers on my dogs problems. I thought that was awesome for her to take the time out of her day and speak with a new customer to explain why the tests were performed and give extra tips for me so its more cost efficient. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone but give the warning that they get EXTREMELY busy!! So be prepared! But the services are phenomenal! Read Less

After raising and living with 2 Rhodesian ridgebacks for 16 years, we wanted to chose the best veterinarian clinic for our new Rhodesian Ridgeback. We chose All Pets Animal Hospital partially because of the boarding facilities, however after 3 attempts to board our dog we were told they were booked. When I called and asked about boarding and the lady who answered said that there were "priority clients" who have the facilities booked, and I told her that after having to use another facility 3 times that I may need to move my vet, she says "I will be happy to fax your information to any other vet". Apparently they need no new business, and if you are not already a priority client don't bother. The reviews before me probably were the "priority clients"! Read Less

My four-legged kids and I love Dr. Meena.  She is patient, asks you lots of questions to narrow down the problem, and actually remembers her patients and their owners!  I love that she takes the time to get to know my pet AND me!  We have also seen Dr. McMullan and Dr. Carlino - they were both just as great!They offer fair and reasonable prices. Dr. Meena evens saves me money by NEVER once sedating my grumpy cat for an exam, even though his old vet sedated him for each visit (even for vaccines). The technicians and receptionists are all friendly and helpful - and they follow up with a phone call if your pet comes in with an issue.They also have kittens up for adoption on the cat side of the clinic, which is the highlight of my trip! This one is way past the date. The person I would have used wasn't in a position to provide services yet. I went to All Pets Hospital because it was well recommended.    Maybe it was a bit high (pricey), but I'm not going with the riffraff angle seen in another post. I'm looking at the job accomplished.  My pet had a procedure done here. The doctor was very helpful, and gave the impression that he was knowledgeable and qualified. The recovery time seemed short. In addition, others were impressed with how well everything turned out. Kind, caring, friendly staff.  I bit overpriced, but its worth it to weed out the riff-raff!  I like this place because I can board my dog in a run instead of leaving her in a small cage.  Also, the staff knows her well and gives me little reports on her behavior during her stay.  Also, I like that the vet has a selection of pet supplies and goodies to investigate while waiting for the vet or my dog.  It really helps pass the time!  In addition, they have installed a flat screen with short informative programs on petcare which are very interesting.My only complaint is the location. I've had to move a lot for work and I've had my pets brought to many different clinics around the state. But I have to say the staff and doctors at All Pets Hospital are incredibly professional and knowledgable. My girls have never been treated so warmly and they have great boarding facilities! I've met most of the doctors at different points and I really was impressed. Highly reccomend. Wish they had clinics everywhere I've had to go. Read Less
