If I could put no stars I would. I've been using them for years and all of a sudden I have had nothing but trouble from them. Susan yarnall took hardly no interest in my pets examination, jumped to conclusions, has a terrible bedside manner and to top it off also told us a test she was going to run was free and wasn't going to charge me until it was sent off and ended up charging me an ass load of money which I had to call and get refunded ( which is more than likely going to cause my account to overdraft bc it won't be back on there for almost a week if not longer). I will never use them again. I went and got a second opinion and I have found a better and more knowledgeable vet with the sweetest staff I've ever met. They are literally a last resort vet for me now after this experience ONLY because I appreciate Dr. Rossi, Hamilton, and Ashley they are great. Otherwise I wouldn't even use them as a last resort.Read Less

My friend had put her dog into be spay Friday , she was released an sent home, only to be brought back the following morning Saturday with pale gums an lethargic. They gave her fluids by IV , knowing she was bleeding internally , they sent a bag of fluid home with her Saturday which they said she need to be picked up by 11am as they close at noon. They refused to open her an find what was causing the bleeding. She was rushed later Saturday afternoon to emergency vet at LSU, where they said she has an abdomen full of blood which could be from a botched spay. Which also means her dog would have most likely died Saturday night from internal bleeding. Think before you use this vet Read Less

I once recommended this place. I no longer can after a badly prescribed drug, Rimadyl. Google it to read the horror stories. My dog was prescribed it on 8/12/16. My dog died 8/20/16 in a fashion similar to the horror stories you'll read. I know it wasn't their intention, but the scar will never heal and I will never return. Read Less

We brought our dog in with a hematoma in her ear...I was given options, and chose the one that was most reasonable for us (non surgical). My dog came home with athletic tape around her head, on her fur. We have been struggling with getting it off because it hurts!! She also came home with kennel cough that she required medicine for. She was not sick until she stayed there. The cost was outrageous for no surgery...we are so disappointed. Read Less

I have used DSAH for over 20 years. They have treated the 5 dogs I've owned & loved over that time...Pretzel, Jovi, Mickey, Keeli and Lindsey. I don't remember one negative thing over the course of this time, but I do remember this...the medical and emotional help I received when my Keeli developed terminal kidney failure. Not only did they do everything medically they could for her, they made sure I knew exactly what was happening and what to expect. I felt like they held my hand and her paw through that entire gut wrenching time. Dr Diana, Dr Welch, Barbara, Christian and the entire staff were there for us. I have used this vet for my Chesapeake Bay Retriever since she was born last October. They have been great at keeping me informed of shots/procedures to be done, and are always helpful when calling to ask questions. They even send out notifications when she is due for shots, which is great! My girl had parvo when I first got her, and they diagnosed her and treated her and she was better within 2 days. After being spayed, my rambunctious retriever ripped her stitches wide open, and after rushing her to the vet they had her fixed and taken care of within 10 minutes and charged us nothing for extra medication and the new staples. I love all the veterinarians and workers there and I would definitely recommend!! Read Less

My sweet girl's heart was failing so I brought her in this morning to the wonderful doctor and associates at Denham Springs Animal Hospital. They showed great care and compassion to me and my sweet girl. As we were meeting with the doctor she passed away in my arms. Everyone was so very kind and I feel truly blessed. I will never let any of my animals have surgery at denham springs animal hospital AGAIN! Worst service, malpractice, front staff can't answer a question, not enough vets. Needed a new vet for my new puppy heard good things about D.S walked in and was not greeted, no one acknowledged I was even standing there. Waited in plane sight for fifteen minutes and no one even so much as said a word to me to let me know I was going to be helped. Needless to say, my amazing German shepherd will not be stepping paw in this vet.Read Less
