I brought my new little mini-dachshund last week to get checked out real well by Doctor Hood. I had just bought him the day before our appt. I was confident after meeting Doctor Hood and his staff. They were all very friendly and very caring. This veterinarian is the awesome! He took the time to explain many details about mini-dachshunds in general and did not breeze on through the examination....without asking me if I had any questions....more than once... although this was our first visit....I feel I have found a vet. That cares about his patients and his actions prove that.. thank-you...

We were former patients of Dr. Whitlocks and made our way to Dr. Hood after the flood. He was great with my Lab, Hurley and took very good care of him. Very nice staff as well.

Dr. Hood, Dr. Julie, and their entire staff are the most caring, loving staff I have ever taken my dogs too! They have spent so much time with me on the phone and in person with all the issues I've had with my little chihuahua. They are never rushed and answer all my questions. They always call after appointments and check up on her to see how she is doing. They are amazing!

I've never had less than stellar service with Dr. Hood and his staff. He's taken care of our previous dog, our cats and now my Scent Detection Partner, Niko. We are always greeted with a warm welcome and, as I said, the service is top notch. The follow up phone call after procedures is always nice too.

We have 2 dogs- Rocky & Gracie. Rocky had to have a minor "surgery" and the Gracie was to be spayed the same week. The staff at Dr. Hood's office called numerous times to check on them both. When Gracie was sick after her surgery, I called in on that Saturday. Dr. Hood wanted to see her right away (he usually doesn't work on Saturday's and was called in from hunting. Now, THAT is dedication and customer service!!) He took such great care of her and made sure she felt better fast! Not only did he take his Saturday afternoon to check on one of my furbabies, he also called on Sunday afternoon to see if she was feeling better! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies! Thank you to Dr. Hood and his great staff for being so compassionate and for going above and BEYOND for all of the furbabies you see!!

Dr. Hood is by far one of the best vets we have ever been associated with. But if he is not there, I would not bring my pet there. Chances are you will end up with a bigger bill than expected.
