Normally it's b a 5 🌟 but after boarding 13 days, an receiving a call on the 3rd day about a "minor diarrhea" issue I was shocked when my boxer got picked up 10lbs lighter an a bigger bill because she was iv'd had blood in still an hospitalized for 6 days also treated for it all.....I don't understand why I wasn't notified how bad it became how little she got an not prepare my family for it including my blind autistic child who freaked out!!! Then the little girl gets an attitude w my inlaw bout dog food choices when she should told me when I dropped her off, REALLY. I love the vet so much but the new staff best figure something out or Tim will lose a lot. Irresponsible rude an neglectful is how I explain these workers, I'll b going in tomorrow to deal with this issue an maybe our come to Jesus meeting can help them out..... Read Less

I have been bringing my fur baby to Northside Vet since 2006 and I cannot say enough good about Dr. Tim and Dr. Leonards. They are always willing to go above expectation to do what is best for my Zoie. The staff as well will do whatever necessary to take care of what needs taking care of. Do NOT recommend unless you have lots of money and then no guarantee you will receive proper treatment anyway. Was given vitamin k, and an anti-inflammatory medication and sent on my way with a poisoned dog, who ultimately died 3 hours later instead of being tested and possibly saved. Very sad indeed! When someone brings their family dog into this facility and they tell you the condition of their dog, and also states to the tech that you may be worried it's parvo, wouldn't you not test their dog. You sent home a dog who was still ill and the owner called the facility not once but twice that same day/afternoon to tell you their dog was still passing blood and you tell them to give him pedialite and watch him closely?!?! Proper treatment would have not resulted in the death of their family dog. Thank you, and you are welcome. I advise you find another profession. God bless. Read Less

My pup of 10 years, (a precious older rescue dog) went to see the doctor today because of a scary, unexplained persistent cough, and being from out-of-state on vacation, I was stressed having my dog get sick away from home. I looked over the internet, and decided to call this particular vet because of past reviews, and to relieve my worries over my sick puppy being away from home. They took us right in, did a thorough exam on my pup, and actually 'talked me through' their diagnosis, and how they were reaching that conclusion. "Pup" and I left the vet's office with a peaceful mind and heart, knowledge about our situation, armed with medicines and full explanations, ........and I am so thrilled that I took my pup to them today! Being so far away from home with a sick pup is no way to travel, but the people of Eunice, Louisiana, once again, displayed amazing hospitality, concern, reached what turned out to be the most probable and likely diagnosis available, and I would not ever hesitate to hurry to them again under any circumstances!Everyone in the office was friendly, courteous, professional, and I felt like a valued long-time 'patient', instead of a stranger passing through.It was nice that the pups prescriptions could be filled right in the office, at a very reasonable price, so I had to make no unexpected trips to a pharmacy with an ailing puppy. Also, the outer office / waiting room is well-stocked with some of the real necessities one might need if they were needing to get home quickly, ....and although no one drew attention to his available 'necessary' supplies discretely on the shelves in the waiting room, and no one ever mentioned it, it was so very convenient to be able to pick up some supplies to help myself care for my pet after the diagnosis, and I didn't have to go to the store to pick up a warmer piece of clothing for my ailing pet, since we were camping, and might need more warmth during the illness, ....... so I was able to pick up a couple of things to help me be certain my pet would be comfortable and warm through the night tonight. I consider myself to be most fortunate to have chosen this doctor's office, because my pet is now examined, treated, and safe, ........and I will sleep tonight! Thanks to the Northside Veterinary Hospital for excellent care and top-notch professionalism! They treat your pet as if it is your precious child, with tenderness, caring, dignity, and individualism! I am so grateful for this opportunity to once again see such a integral part of the wonderful people I have met while being in Eunice for the Mardi Gras activities! I will be back for sure! I am very impressed with the hospital itself (nothing like any others I have used), the love, care, and knowledge of the staff and Dr. Deshotel. My other little girl was going to go to a vet in the Port Barre areawhere I live for her first shots and toher care. However, someone recommended a vet in Eunice. Since I found Northshore Veterinary Hospital I am so glad to be able to transfer Abby to Northshore. I know she will get quality care. I have been taking my pets (2) dogs the this doc. for three yrs. now. both were puppies, I am very happy with them. my dogs are rescue dogs and they had not been cared for very well when I got them. The doctor has taught me how to care for them. The staff are very compassionate and patient. my dogs love going there, even when they are getting their shots. they have received great health care and I have been given the best advice regarding their care. I have no complaints. Dr. Ted takes time to talk to me about any concerns I may have regarding their care or behavior. my appointments have been timely. they call after visits when they receive shots or medication to see how they are doing. my dogs are healthy and happy. I have also sheltered them there when I go out of town, because I know they will take care of them. I can call any time for advice or am concerned about something regarding my dogs. Read Less
