Bring all 3 of my pets to the clinic. The staff... front desk, assistants and vets are all great! Just be aware you may not want to use them for boarding...I made an appointment for over the weekend, and luckily asked before dropping my dogs off... if you board your dogs over the weekend, there is a minimum 17 hour period (close at 4PM on Saturday and don't reopen to 9:00 am on Sunday) that they will be caged (not in a run) without being let out to use the bathroom. It took me some time to be able to write this, but these wonderful people deserve all the recognition in the world. A few months ago, i let my dog outside. I found my dog escaped our fence before I went to work, unsure of how she’d gotten out. By the time my husband and I arrived home she was swollen and lethargic. We took her to an emergency vet in Baton Rouge and then ended up transferring her to another vet in the morning. That vet sent us home with some stuff and some quo...tes on surgeries. But no one really told us anything for sure. We went to this clinic, feeling like we had no other option but to put her down because she wasn’t getting any better, only worst. The people at Animal Care Center of Gonzales did everything they could to help her, and gave her a few extra days with us. They worked with us in every way and did the euthanasia whenever she could no longer hang on. They gave us a card everyone had signed, they were truly amazing. Life and death are things that fall out of your control, but these people truly show that they really care about what they’re doing. And they did absolutely everything they could to help her. We were in desperate need for someone to see our baby. How incredible that animal care center of Gonzales was willing to see our baby and essentially save his life. After testing we found out he has pancreatitis, and if not treated could have been fatal. Our baby is still in treatment but I am so thankful for the Dr and staff for getting my baby boy Deuce in for treatment!!!!! Read Less

We had to put our Jack down yesterday and Dr Rob and his staff let us take our time with jack and even got on the floor with us while jack layed on his favorite blanket and did everything on the ground with us! We just moved into the area three weeks ago and have looking for a vet since then and I saw all of the positive reviews and comments about this place. We have 5 cats and 1 dog and knew it was just a matter of time for something to happen to one of them. This morning (Saturday at 7:15 am) was the day. Took my cat in as a small emergency walk in and we were worked in within the hour! The entire staff was extremely friendly and efficient. They diagnosed the problem and sent us on our way. These guys rock! My 10yo Boston terrier had a severe infection in his mouth. The left side of his face was the size of a tennis ball. We made an appointment with a different veterinary clinic at first, but they said they couldn't see him until a week later. And they quoted me something like $600 for an X-ray and a cleaning. They said it would be around $900 if they had to extract any teeth. They told me all of this without actually having laid eyes on my dog. Frustrated I decided to find somewhere else to take him. A friend recommended that we take him to Animal Care Center of Gonzales. I sure am glad that I took his advice. I called them up and explained my situation and they got me an appointment for the very next morning. We brought him in and they did a thorough exam and said they would check to see if the surgeon could squeeze him in, since we drove all the way out from Laplace. We were thrilled when she said that she would be able to do it that day. 45 minutes later they called and said that he was all finished. The surgeon explained everything that they had done and gave me a detailed status report on his condition. She said that they will keep an eye on him until he was fully recovered from the anesthesia. They ended up having to extract 5 teeth and they cleaned all of the rest them. They did all of this work and only charged me 1/3 of what the other place quoted me. Their surgeon on staff must have serious technical skill. My dog was only in there for like 40 minutes and they were able to remove all of those teeth and clean the rest. I just inspected the work and his teeth look phenomenal (almost better than mine). Only one day after his surgery, my little buddy is his old self again. His mouth doesn't reek of death like it has for so many years. Now, at 10 years old, my friend has puppy breath again. The facility itself is warm and inviting. It doesn't smell of pee like most other veterinary clinics do. It actually smells good in there (kinda like the inside of a Bath & Bodyworks)lol. And the place is impeccably clean. I am more than impressed with the service and expertise of the entire staff. They are all friendly and knowledgeable. This will be our vet from now on. Totally worth the 50 minute drive from Laplace. My yorkie had an abcessed tooth and needed medical attention pretty quickly. I was able to get an appointment that day AND her surgery was scheduled for the next morning. The Dr. was awesome when dealing with my feisty yorkie. I will be going to them from now and on! Read Less

This animal clinic is awesome! This is my dogs place to go for anything he needs. My dog was attached by two bigger dogs and this place made him get back to normal so fast! He truly cares about each and every single pet that walks through the door. They don't turn an animal away, doesn't matter if it's a stray. I brought in a lethargic stray cat pretty close to closing time and they stayed late and took their time x-raying him, giving him liquids and the extra attention he needed while I sat there and cried like a big baby not knowing what was wrong with him.
