Desoto Veterinary Hospital And Mobile Services

Grand Cane, Louisiana
General Info
Desoto Veterinary Hospital And Mobile Services in Grand Cane continues to play an important role in the lives of local pet owners. Desoto Veterinary Hospital And Mobile Services in Grand Cane advises Louisiana families to make veterinary checkups a part of their daily routines rather than an occasional event when handling young pets and senior companions. The visit begins with an official discussion regarding behavior and appetite changes, bathroom habits, sleeping patterns, and environmental changes. The physical exam includes joint mobility, heart and lung sounds, eye and skin condition, and oral health. These findings are then compared to the baseline notes and records from previous visits for early detection of subtle changes. Desoto Veterinary Hospital And Mobile Services offers the following services; wellness screenings, parasite tests, stool analysis, vaccinations, dental examinations, mobility evaluations, and weight counseling. It also recommends customized treatment plans for GI or skin-related problems. Care is adjusted according to the dog’s age, breed, and household situation. Active dogs require more frequent orthopedic exams, while older indoor pets need a chronic care schedule to monitor thyroid and renal health. Owners receive systematically arranged records and reminders after the visit. Digital access includes visit records, prescription logs, and milestone tracking with planning tools. Families with multiple pets or limited access can also request group visits, teleconsultations, or rotating recheck schedules. Elderly pets have an adjusted care plan that focuses on comfort and safety in their homes. Desoto Veterinary Hospital And Mobile Services helps families in Grand Cane implement pet care into their daily lives. That dependability makes a measurable difference in Louisiana homes over time. Popular services include oncology, grooming, orthopedic surgery, in-house pharmacy, radiology (x-rays), vaccinations, livestock/farm animal care, parasite prevention, senior pet care, and anesthesiology. Whether it is helping with routine wellness plans or complex health issues, Desoto Veterinary Hospital And Mobile Services gives pet owners confidence through effective communication and high standards. The team seeks to expand and grow while being committed and dedicated to offering the best care for pets in Grand Cane and the United States as a whole.

Responsible for my dog dying!!! Front desk woman is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING, AND INCOMPETENT PERSON, and should NOT be working in a vet's office or ANYWHERE she comes in contact with the public. They prescribed WRONG medicine when I SPECIFICALLY asked for an antibiotic. The medicine weakened his immune system and caused the infection to accelerate and cause my boxer Shocky to pass away. If the front desk woman would listen instead of trying to talk over you or diagnose herself, Shocky would still be alive!!!! BEWARE, THEY MAY KILL YOUR ANIMALS AS WELL!!!! Read Less

I took both of my dogs to the Desoto Veterinary Hospital on Hwy 171 in Grand Cane, La. I received service that was beyond my expectations in caring for my dogs, excellent! I had struggled desperately for over 2 years to find a way to cure one of my dog's from scratching and pulling his hair out. After leaving my dog with Dr. Jon Reddick, he came home and has never had a problem with his skin again and he is not on any special diet nor medications. Their staff was super nice and a week after I had my first dog in I had to leave my other dog for his yearly check-up. Both came home healthier and happy. I was so grateful, because my dogs are like kids to me. So, I highly recommend Dr. Jon and his staff. Read Less
