In 1998 I found myself searching for a new veterinarian. I wasn’t happy with the one I’d been seeing. I had taken my cat Skeeter to him because I could tell he was losing weight and knew something was wrong. His comment was “He weighs more than the last time he was here”. He didn’t really seem interested in checking him any further. At that point I knew I had to find someone else. I looked in the phone book and decided to try Abadie Veterinary Hospital, and I’m so glad I did! Although I ended up losing my cat to cancer, the care he got was wonderful! I’ve come to think of Dr. Abadie, Dr. Perronne and the staff as family. I’ve gotten the greatest care for the many fur babies I’ve had over the years. Horrible place. Boarded dogs multiple times. Every time I picked dogs back up they urinated in the parking lot before going home. Obviously hadn’t been walked or even let out. Staff not forthcoming about prices or what is wrong with your pet. Everything is expense and they will add “fees”. Appear friendly but service is poor. Worst vet experience ever!!! I used them as an emergency vet while I was traveling. I paid my "Very Expensive" bill in full the day I visited the clinic. 5 months later I requested my records be sent to my local vet and the staff told me I had a balance because they had added some fees after I left that day. It was a low $ amount, but that's still wrong! Plus they wouldn't release the blood work records that I paid to have done, just an itemized bill statement. Read Less

I love Dr. Folse compassion and patience she has with Heidi. The only thing I was not happy about is that there is no answering service after hours. If there is an emergency you need to go to their Med Vet which is very expense for a consolation fee! Luckily I did not have to use it because her symtoms subsided!!! Read Less

Absolutely fabulous vet staff! I trust every one of the 5 vets. Dr. Abadie and his team discuss cases and as a team have given my pets fabulous care. Dr. Perrone is an amazing veterinarian, who explained everything that was going on before it happened. She consoled me when I had to make a hard decision and walked me through it. Brought my rotting there for an exam. All the ladies at the groomers love to see him coming cuz he's a big teddy bear. These folks were so freaked at his size they couldn't even manage to weigh him. They showed such fright that they made him and I both nervous wrecks. The tech and the Doc couldn't even manage to look in his ear. I've never seen my dog growl this way. This is by far the worst vet I have ever been to. Without my knowledge, and with absolutely no explanation, I was told by the office manageryes, the office managernot the man in chargethat Scott Abadie would no longer treat my dog. I can only assume that Scott Abadie got his feelings hurt because I decided to go see a specialist for my dogs cancer, since I was unknowingly banned from his office. Of course he didnt have the balls to tell me himself. Nor was I allowed to speak with him or more specifically I was told hes not going to talk to you. I guess I'm not allowed to change my mind about a major procedure for my dog that may save his life. One that had it been done correctly the first time by Scott Abadie, could have prevented me from having to see a specialist. This is a horrible way to treat clients and their pets. It's bad business, but more than that it means you are not a good person Scott Abadie. Your front office staff is completely incompetent, has been since the first day I walked into that office. The refusal to refill my dogs heartworm medicine, the refusal to give me an explanation, and the refusal to ask the doctor to return my call is not only disrespectful but cowardly. My dog is better off not being treated by a heartless son of a bitch anyway, whose staff is more than just inhospitable, some of which don't even seem to like animals.Read Less

We had an appointment with Dr. Newman for our first pup today and fell in love! She was so kind and informative and took great care of our baby girl! She answered all of our questions and made recommendations with such a kind, pleasant attitude. We can tell she enjoys what she does and so could Lottie (I'm sure Lottie wasn't mad at the treats either). The staff was efficient and we received quick, excellent service for a very good price. We have gone to Scott for years, and frankly I would not take my dogs to any other vet. Not only is he our pet's physician, but over the years he has become a good friend to Rod and myself. We have absolute confidence in him, and above all else we trust him with the care of our dogs. And I simply can not say enough about his entire staff. They are great. On ocassion we have had to see another vet in his office, and we have had nothing but great experiences on these ocassions as well. His office staff and the vet techs are also the greatest. They know us by name, give us personal attention, and care for our dogs as we would. We would never take our dogs to any other vet. We love Scott and his entire office of qualified staff members. Even the times we have lost one of our dogs they turned a awful situation into a bearable one. He has come to our home with four (4) of his techs to put our last Great Dane to sleep and help her cross over the Rainbow Bridge. He and his staff will never know what that meant to us. He and his staff sent cards and made calls to our home to make sure we were doing well. We have been out of state, had a problem with one of our dogs. We called him at his home several times, and when we got back into town the next morning he came right away and met us at his office. What more can you ask for? Our children are all grown with children of their own. Our animals have now and always have been our children. He knows that and he respects that! I have been bringing my fur babies to Abadie Veterinary Hospital since 2006, Dr. Abadie most definitely has a passion for what he does and it is evident in his work. I also say the same for Dr. Perrone and Dr. Folse whom have also cared for my dogs. The hospital itself is very personable and the complete opposite of overwhelming which I love because other local vets are large and....well over whelming. The staff is always helpful and available. We have taken our three dogs to Abadie for years but have found the front desk to be lacking in the past couple years.  The vets don't communicate with the techs and so in turn they look at you clueless when you arrive.  They are mostly students, but they are poorly trained, and the experienced gentleman up front is no help to them at all.  A simple drop-off becomes a scramble to find the animal's file and a 15-minute wait for the tech to come out and take your pet.  Unfortunately at this point we are considering switching vets. I'm so glad we found Dr. Abadie. Our dog is a rescue and had a lot of problems as a puppy. The first vet we took him to did not properly diagnose him and put him through stressful (expensive) treatments. We felt the need to get a second opinion and took him to Dr. Abadie and are so thankful we did! Our dog is now happy and healthy.
