At Acadiana Veterinary Clinic, our goal is to provide for the complete and total care of your animal companion. That means that our services must go well beyond traditional medical, dental, diagnostic and surgical care, but also provide for the general wellbeing of your pet. Over the years, we’ve worked hard to establish a comprehensive system of care that is designed to deliver the precise service or treatment your pet needs at the very moment it’s needed.
All of our services begin with a foundation of wellness care and preventative medicine, because we believe this provides each and every patient we serve with the best chance of enjoying a long, happy and healthy life. Beyond this, we’re also well equipped and fully prepared to provide for any other health care need that may arise throughout your pet’s lifetime, whether it’s an advanced diagnostic test, a rehabilitation session, a complex surgical procedure or critical care to save your companion’s life.
In addition to the traditional veterinary services we provide, our care also extends to include both alternative medicine options as well as several general pet care services. For those pet parents that prefer to take a more holistic approach to their pet’s health, our staff is trained in veterinary acupuncture. We also offer full service boarding, professional grooming, behavioral counseling and adoption assistance. We’d love to become your one-stop-shop for everything pet related.

My Boxer needed bilateral TPLO's (complete knee geometry restructuring) and I took her here for the procedures. The individual care that was given was outstanding. The doctors took time to address all questions and went above and beyond spending time answering them and making sure all bases were covered. From diagnosis to recovery PT, they were great. I am convinced they saved my boxers life on two separate occasions (from mischief she got into). My boxer has since been diagnosed with an Oral Plasmacytoma. This may have gone unnoticed if it hadn't been for a thorough routine examination. Thanks to early diagnosis, the prognosis is great. I might add that their services are extremely reasonable, which is not my primary reason for continuing to go to them. Usually exceptional care and reasonable cost are mutually exclusive, not in this case!

I am still reeling from the joy of seeing Molly, our heeler mix walk again! When we took her in 4 days ago, we were scared that she may never come home. Dr. Tanya has done therapy and treated her for over 3 years, told us not to give up yet, so we waited and got daily updates on her progress. When I went for a visit, my baby girl walked into the room! Dr. Tanya and the entire staff are caring, compassionate, wonderful people who truly care about animals and it shows! I cannot thank each of them enough!

our sweet female Greyhound had a stroke the evening before Mardi Gras, she collapsed and had totally lost her equilibrium. She was completely prostrated and could not even pick up her head. We took her to the Emergency Vet Clinic because of the holiday. The day after Mardi Gras we transferred her to Acadiana Veterinary Clinic, our regular Vet. Because a brain tumor needed to be ruled out, we brought her to LSU where an MRI amog other tests was done and she was diagnosed with a stroke. We brought her back to AVC for treatment. I cannot say enough good things about the people at AVC. From the front desk personnel to the techs to the doctors, everyone cared about our girl. All three Doctors have been involved in her care and Rehab. Dr.Rene does her acupuncture. Dr Tonya does the treadmill with her in a tank of water to reduce the weight on her legs, and gets in the tank with her . Dr Nicole took her out in the grass before she could walk, and stayed with her to help her. Our girl goes to her rehab visits willingly and happily, and that says alot about the care she has received. It's been 9 weeks, and our girl is walking and trying to run! We will be eternally grateful to the caring staff at AVC! if you want your fur baby to have expert, loving care, I highly recommend Acadiana Veterinary Clinic---you will not be disappointed.

After a terrible car accident, and the start of a long recovery, my dog Alphonse’s hip got bumped this afternoon. I was really worried about the way he was acting. So I called Dr. Renee at Acadiana Veterinary Clinic, and she came to my house and picked him up. My vet drove to my house, after hours, and came to my dog’s rescue. This is in addition to the chicken and rice Dr. Tanya cooked special for him when he wouldn’t eat his regular food. I can’t say enough good things about the care Alphonse is getting there, and I’m so grateful they’re on Alphonse’s team.

Dr. Tonya and her staff are in my opinion the absolute best!!!! Their compassion in what they do shines thru each of them. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have given to all of our animals over the past 10 years. We recently had our lab Chloe who was diagnosed with diabetes and over the last five months we were in the office if not weekly it was every 2-3 weeks and the love and compassion that they showed to not only our fur baby but my two boys and my husband and I... Dr. Tonya and the staff could not have done a better job and I feel like you are all family and you'll all remain so special to our family forever. Today was our first and last time visiting Acadiana Veterinary Clinic. We were far from satisfied with the services rendered. The vet that saw our puppy was in a complete rush. The minute she entered the room she began administering shots/performing numerous exams. Had she communicated effectively and communicated to us what she was doing and for what reason, that would have been fine. But that was not the case. Essentially she just came in, ran up our vet bill, then left. She seemed to be simply a vet, not a true animal lover. Huge difference in my book!

Dr Nicole is the best! I brought my 9 month old frenchie in after searching for vet online who dealt with dermatology issues. My frenchie had been put on meds for 6 months and had no relief in sight, she was practically bald and had bumps everywhere. Dr Nicole gave her full exam blood work and finally my baby got a correct diagnosis which meant correct treatment. 3 months later she has clean bill of health. I have no problem driving an 1hour 45 minutes to see Dr Nicole. Totally worth it!

After my cat was groomed at your establishment, less than a week later he developed a limp and enlarged pupil, and when we brought him in it was passed off as flea born illness. well after a short exam before having to euthanize our kitty it was found out that he had clearly suffered trauma to his arm and head. so, in short, I will not be returning and will definitely deter all business possible. Disgusting!!

My pets and I originally visited AVC because I heard my arthritic dog could get relief with acupuncture, and she surely did! In the years that have followed, many family pets and foster pets have received the best attention available anywhere. We love our Dr. Renee, Dr. Tanya and Dr. Nicole. They have laughed and cried with me, and always made sure to put the interest of the animals first. Thank you!

We have been using the Acadiana Veterinary Clinic since I returned to Lafayette for the care of our 7 cats and my daughters 2 dogs. They have taken care of everything from standard office visits, grooming, boarding, etc. During this time we have lost 4 of our special cats due to complications of old age and again the doctors and staff have been amazing. I recommend the clinic to all family and friends and will continue to use them as long as we are blessed with having our furry family member. Love these guys!

My Boxer needed bilateral TPLO's (complete knee geometry restructuring) and I took her here for the procedures. The individual care that was given was outstanding. The doctors took time to address all questions and went above and beyond spending time answering them and making sure all bases were covered. From diagnosis to recovery PT, they were great. I am convinced they saved my boxers life on two separate occasions (from mischief she got into). My boxer has since been diagnosed with an Oral Plasmacytoma. This may have gone unnoticed if it hadn't been for a thorough routine examination. Thanks to early diagnosis, the prognosis is great. I am still reeling from the joy of seeing Molly, our heeler mix walk again! When we took her in 4 days ago, we were scared that she may never come home. Dr. Tanya has done therapy and treated her for over 3 years, told us not to give up yet, so we waited and got daily updates on her progress. our sweet female Greyhound had a stroke the evening before Mardi Gras, she collapsed and had totally lost her equilibrium. She was completely prostrated and could not even pick up her head. We took her to the Emergency Vet Clinic because of the holiday. The day after Mardi Gras we transferred her to Acadiana Veterinary Clinic, our regular Vet. Because a brain tumor needed to be ruled out, we brought her to LSU where an MRI amog other tests was done and she was diagnosed with a stroke. We brought her back to AVC for treatment. After a terrible car accident, and the start of a long recovery, my dog Alphonse’s hip got bumped this afternoon. I was really worried about the way he was acting. So I called Dr. Renee at Acadiana Veterinary Clinic, and she came to my house and picked him up. My vet drove to my house, after hours, and came to my dog’s rescue. This is in addition to the chicken and rice Dr. Tanya cooked special for him when he wouldn’t eat his regular food. I can’t say enough good things about the care Alphonse is getting there, and I’m so grateful they’re on Alphonse’s team.

Dr. Tonya and her staff are in my opinion the absolute best!!!! Their compassion in what they do shines thru each of them. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have given to all of our animals over the past 10 years. We recently had our lab Chloe who was diagnosed with diabetes and over the last five months we were in the office if not weekly it was every 2-3 weeks and the love and compassion that they showed to not only our fur baby but my two boys and my husband and I... They have taken care of everything from standard office visits, grooming, boarding, etc. During this time we have lost 4 of our special cats due to complications of old age and again the doctors and staff have been amazing. I recommend the clinic to all family and friends and will continue to use them as long as we are blessed with having our furry family member. Love these guys!
