Dr. Jake and his team have been amazing through this pretty rough time for me and my pup. She tore her CCL and Dr. Jake made sure that I understood everything about what was happening with her and gave us the best care and attention we could hope for. I never felt rushed out the door and I left knowing so much more about this fairly common injury. They are very trustworthy and truly care about their clients — both the humans and their fur babies.

Nearly two weeks ago my large male cat name Meyrick started to act odd and I was became concerned he was dealing with a urinary obstruction. I ended up calling Congress Animal Hospital, and even though they were busy they had me bring him in and the doctor was able to examine him between visits. My concerns were correct and my poor Meyrick was obstructed with a bladder so full that it was the size of a baseball. Dr. Thibeaux tried to place a catheter to remove the obstruc...tion and relieve Meyrick's bladder but the obstruction would not budge. We ended up having to do emergency surgery (Thank you Dr. Meuller, hope I spelled that right!) to redirect my cat's urethra to an opening right bellow his anus. It was a very expensive procedure that I really couldn't afford but I was not going to not do it. Not only was this vet office very kind and helpful but they also were very upfront with cost. I received several calls throughout the day to keep me updated on Meyrick's condition and what steps they were taking. They did not rush me out the door when it was time to pick up Meyrick. Instead, they went through great lengths to be sure I understood what to expect and encouraged me to call with any and all questions. They even called me the next day to ask how Meyrick was doing at home. When I called today to make his follow up appointment for next week, the first thing they did was ask how Meyrick was doing. This is exactly what I want to see in a vet office. I also want to point out, this was the first time I have ever used this vet and it happened because my usual vet was overbooked. And not that I have any issue with my current vet office but I am more drawn to this office atmosphere. I highly recommend this office. See More

I made an appointment with Dr. Emily Thibeaux to bring my recently adopted dog, Sebastian in for an ordinary check up. We knew Sebastian was an older dog but believed he was in good health. After sharing details about Sebastian's behavior to Dr. Emily and her looking over Sebastian's records from the adoption clinic she told me she suspected he had kidney disease. She did testing which proved she was correct in her diagnosis. Some way other vets had missed the signs but Dr. Emily didn't. She explained everything in detail to me about Sebastian's prognosis and was very kind and caring not only about Sebastian but to me as well. If you are looking for someone to tend to your dogs health needs, you won't find a more caring or knowledgeable doctor than Dr. Emily Thibeaux at Animal Medical Clinic.

The staff here has always been very friendly and welcoming to me and my dog. I have taken my dog, Reece, to several vets around town simply because she is a rescue dog and I have been told that she is "hard to handle" and I was very disappointed until I found out about Congress animal hospital. From the first appointment there I knew we found our forever vet. The kindness, patience, and compassion that every staff member has shown Reece makes me feel good about my choice to bring her there. This place rocks! Dr Thibeaux and his staff are so caring and good at what they do. They helped me so much when we were trying to get my cat to start eating again. When he suddenly died I think they were just as upset about it as I was. Even though he died at the Emergency Vet Clinc Dr Thibeaux took the time to call me with his condolences and to tell me I did everything I could to save him. These people truly care. This isn't just a job to them. I would never take my pets anywhere else!

I have been taking my fur babies to Drs. Jake and Emily since they took over the clinic. They are both wonderful to have looking after my pets. Even when I had to put my cat to sleep, Dr. Jake prayed with us and that ment the world to me. When I found my dog Camo, and brought him in they made sure he was healthy and have been doing that for three years. I will never take my pets anywhere else. Drs. Dr. Emily Thibeaux, allowed me to leave the Cat in their Care, so she could Fit him into her busy schedule, & I was happy she saw him that very day.. She prescribed an Antibiotic. He didn't seem to get better, so she did a thorough exam & discovered He had Asthma.
I am SO pleased with Her Care & Concern. She is very personable, & answers are very thorough.
I was equally Impressed to have a Follow Up call, it is reassuring the Passion, that She & Her Staff delivered to my cat. Many Thanks."

I LOVE this vet clinic. I have a dog that is 14 years old so I have been bringing my dog here since the other ownership. I have since gotten 3 more dogs and we still go there. I have to say that I LOVE the new ownership better. Dr.s Jake & Emily explain things better & are more personable in my opinion. I recommend them to all of my friends. The entire staff is amazing and they really make you feel at home. I have never had to wait and I am out in a reasonable time. Will continue to recommend them!!!!!

Great people. My 13 yr old daughter wants to be a vet and Dr. Thibeaux let her shadow him the entire day. They took the time to explain what the normal course of treatment was and what their recommended treatment was and why those were different at times. She learned so much! I made an appointment with Dr. Emily Thibeaux to bring my recently adopted dog, Sebastian in for an ordinary check up. We knew Sebastian was an older dog but believed he was in good health. After sharing details about Sebastian's behavior to Dr. Emily and her looking over Sebastian's records from the adoption clinic she told me she suspected he had kidney disease. She did testing which proved she was correct in her diagnosis. Some way other vets had missed the signs but Dr. Emily didn't. She explained everything in detail to me about Sebastian's prognosis and was very kind and caring not only about Sebastian but to me as well. If you are looking for someone to tend to your dogs health needs, you won't find a more caring or knowledgeable doctor than Dr. Emily Thibeaux at Animal Medical Clinic.

The staff here has always been very friendly and welcoming to me and my dog. I have taken my dog, Reece, to several vets around town simply because she is a rescue dog and I have been told that she is "hard to handle" and I was very disappointed until I found out about Congress animal hospital. From the first appointment there I knew we found our forever vet. The kindness, patience, and compassion that every staff member has shown Reece makes me feel good about my choice to bring her there. This place rocks! Dr Thibeaux and his staff are so caring and good at what they do. They helped me so much when we were trying to get my cat to start eating again. When he suddenly died I think they were just as upset about it as I was. Even though he died at the Emergency Vet Clinc Dr Thibeaux took the time to call me with his condolences and to tell me I did everything I could to save him. These people truly care. This isn't just a job to them. I would never take my pets anywhere else!

I have been taking my fur babies to Drs. Jake and Emily since they took over the clinic. They are both wonderful to have looking after my pets. Even when I had to put my cat to sleep, Dr. Jake prayed with us and that ment the world to me. When I found my dog Camo, and brought him in they made sure he was healthy and have been doing that for three years. I will never take my pets anywhere else. Drs. Jake and Emily really do care for you as well as your fur babies.

When we had to put one of our cats to sleep 3 years ago my husband said Dr Thibeaux was so caring and gentle and he even said a prayer for my cat after he put him to sleep. My Cat was Heaving, & I thought He may have aspirated on a hair ball. He seemed to be getting Lethargic, I held him during the night, & his respiration was noisy. Dr. Emily Thibeaux, allowed me to leave the Cat in their Care, so she could Fit him into her busy schedule, & I was happy she saw him that very day.. She prescribed an Antibiotic. He didn't seem to get better, so she did a thorough exam & discovered He had Asthma.
I am SO pleased with Her Care & Concern. She is very personable, & answers are very thorough.
I was equally Impressed to have a Follow Up call, it is reassuring the Passion, that She & Her Staff delivered to my cat. Many Thanks."

I LOVE this vet clinic. I have a dog that is 14 years old so I have been bringing my dog here since the other ownership. I have since gotten 3 more dogs and we still go there. I have to say that I LOVE the new ownership better. Dr.s Jake & Emily explain things better & are more personable in my opinion. I recommend them to all of my friends. The entire staff is amazing and they really make you feel at home. I have never had to wait and I am out in a reasonable time. Will continue to recommend them!!!!!
