I have two rescue dogs that have suffered with skin irritations for 7 yrs. I have been to other area vets with them and been told they were allergic to fleas, to corn, to wheat, to oak tree I my back yard, numerous other things. I have been buying $50 bags of dog food trying to help clear there skin conditions up with no luck. After my daughter took her dog to Dr DuPont and liked his service and treatment with her pets, I decided I would take one of my dogs there who was at the time having severe skin problems. After all these years, after several hundreds of dollars each office visit, Dr DuPont took a skin culture and told me he had red mange. He treated him and my other dog with two months of medication and my dogs look wonderful. No skin problems! I can't thank him enough. I have some happy dogs. He gets all my business. Read Less

Dr. Dupont and Paula have been taking care of my family's pets since the early 1980's. They have gone out of their way to make sure our dogs and cats have had the best preventative care and veterinary treatment. This is a clinic I can recommend for large dogs. There is no one else I would have trusted with our Belgian Malinois , especially boarding. Their kennel facilities and staff are the best. In fact, all of my dogs have enjoyed boarding there. Our old Bassett Hound used to try to go back to the kennel whenever we brought him in for his checkups! I highly recommend the Dupont Veterinary Clinic. Read Less

Very Rude staff (specifically the receptionist!!!!!!!). They don't let you know what they're doing before they do it. Random people(WHO DONT WORK THERE) come in during visits. Did not stitch up my dogs incision right. AND took them out before it was time This caused us to take her to another vet and had to pay even more money for meds andthe visit. When my dog had surgery there, she came home in black, stinky gunk all over her (she had a bath and stayed until he night before). My cat had a bloody de-gloved stump where his tail used to be (probably caught in a car radiator). My regular vet was booked, but Dr. Dupont saw him quickly, and did an amazing repair! He has healed very well and has a healthy, furry little nub. I am so amazed and so grateful! Read Less

We tried other vets in town. After months of frustration, we heard about Dr. Dupont's no-nonsense pratice and took our pet to him. We were very impressed with his entire staff and saw that they clearly took the health of our pet very seriously. Within a very short time, we made him our family vet and have been using him ever since. No one ever cared for our pets as well as he has. This doctor is very busy, yet he always found time for us when it was important to us to get our pets seen. And the best surprise was the invaluable information we continually receive from his Paula, who handles the front office and keeps things in check. We value her opinion and advice and we often call her when we are unsure about something. This is a SUPER place to take your pet. We would not hesitate to recommend Dupont's. Read Less

I called to make an appt for my dogs to get their rabies shot on a Sunday! My husband was told that only reg. patients were seen but to call back in an hour and she would see. I then call back one hour later only to be told in a VERY rude manner that they couldn't be seen, I then asked well why, I thought you were open. She tells me with attitude well, YES we are.....but it's 11 and we close at 12 and hung up on me! How is that professional...if they were too busy why tell my husband to call back in one hour, why waste our time! I will never bring my animals there...RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! Read Less

Dr. Dupont has been my veterinarian for several decades and has cared for the many pets I've had throughout the years. He has always been very cordial and professional to myself and other my other family members who also go to him for their pet's medical needs. I have moved away from the acadiana area several times and tried other veterinarians while I was away, but none have been as knowledgeable and caring about my animals as Dr. Dupont. I currently live in the Texas and still return to see Dr. Dupont for all my pet's non-emergency needs. He has very reasonable rates is always willing to see walk-ins if he's not in surgery. One of the other reviewers commented that when she drives by his office she rarely sees anyone there. What that reviewer might not know is that Dr. Dupont is also one of the best large animal vets in the area and keeps certain days on his schedule clear to go out to local farms to tend to horses and other large animals. He also has certain days and times on his schedule to do all non-emergency surgeries. Even with these duties I've never had a problem getting an appointment when I needed one and over several decades I've only been turned down as a walk-in one time and that was because he was in emergency surgery. There are lots of people in the area that love Dr. Dupont, and sometimes the waiting room is packed, but he still manages to see his patients in a timely manner. Read Less

Dr. Dupont is the only Vet opened on Sunday (closed on Saturday), he accepts ""walk-ins"" as well. He took care of our Yorkie for 11 years, thanks to Doc our pet lived a total of 15 years. I would recommend him to anyone. I think he should have a 9.5 rating. Read Less

I have no idea why thos Vet is rated a 7.8 because the service my pet was gived was a 0. He is totally unprofessional. He said one word to me didn't even ask about my puppy's history or his current well being. Every time I pass his office there isn't a car there only his vehicle and his assistant which tells all!!! He has no business because he doesn't know how to deal with animals not recommended!! Read Less
