We just moved to Lafayette six months ago and chose Dr. Mayer on the advice of several referrals, and are so pleased we did. Dr. Mayer and his Staff are an exceptional team of pet caretakers! From the time you enter the door of their well maintained clinic, you feel welcomed. How could you not when the office cat comes to greet you? Dr. Mayer has the experience and compassion you hope for when you are looking for a Veterinarian. You will love his short audio talks via Facebook. Our sheltie, Max, has been well taken care of in the first year and a half of his life. He doesn't mind going into the office and they do a great job with his medical and grooming needs. When we need to board him, we leave town confident that he is well taken care of and exercised regularly. The prices for grooming and boarding are reasonable and the Doctor even has occasional sales on dog food and treats. Dr Mayer, performed a surgical procedure to save the eye on our Boston terrier, Pete.  He did a great job explaining what needed to be done and taking care of him.  We are from Colorado and Dr Mayer worked with us to schedule the surgery so that the impact on our travel was minimized.  They kenneled Pete while he healed and when we had to leave town for a week.  I highly recommend this clinic.  Both the doctor and the staff were always available to help us and provided the best service available. I've been taking my dog to Dr. Mayer for 9 months now. Except for the fact my dog doesn't like vets period (only time he has ever snapped at anyone), I've had no problems.
