Dr. Tate and his staff show their love through the work they do everyday. My pup has been through a lot with surgery and his healing, but Dr. Tate provides a professional and yet passionate and heartfelt care for my Leo. The staff is friendly but our experience here was not the best. They had trouble handling our 50 pound dog, and chose to sedate her for 15 days in a row. This added an additional $125 to the total that we were quoted. Our dog lost weight during the stay and now I can see her ribs. I will not return here or recommend this place to friends or family. I recently brought my cat in needing a leg amputation, and they did a wonderful job. I was recommended to this vet by my mother, and the quality of service I received was exceptional. The lady at the desk was very polite, sympathetic, and even cradled our cat while we filled out the paperwork. We didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes before Dr. Tate was in the room examining our cat, and in the end, the wound was stiched up to perfection and it healed within days . Went in on an emergency; my little dachshund had a seizure for the first time and it was terrifying!! Called a few places but Vet Med was the only place that could see him on short notice. They got him everything he needed ASAP and made me feel better immediately. The entire staff was very helpful with price estimates while being very understanding about our frantic, overwhelmed behavior. Got him admitted and fixed up right away, kept in contact with me all day, and gave him the proper meds on his way out a few hours later. This was a few days ago and today, Apollo is back to his normal, spunky self (just a little tired) and I could not be more grateful! They've even called to check on him since! Miserable. The "wife" Beth, who is the office manager, was very unhappy that we asked for a discount because we are a non-profit rescue. She wanted us to give her our credit card information 4 days before the day of the visit. Most vets won't take your CC info until you walk into the office but for her it was all about getting paid. They are expensive but we wanted a specific test they gave for a sick dog. She didn't care and hung up on me. Very rude, demanding and money-hungry which they shouldn't be because all their appointment times were open, even on a Saturday. The phone experience was so bad, can't imagine what the office experience would have been like.Read Less
