The staff treated him until closing time and then sent us to a 24 hospital for continued care. I have a great appreciation for the way they took care of Eddie and me. Have lived on the north shore for 22 yrs and bounced from vet to vet cause we never found one that we were completely happy with ! Was thrilled when David Moores opened up TAH ! We have been so happy there , as have our dogs . We Unfortunately had to put one of our beloved pets down last year and everyone there was so Kind and compassionate ! I have never been to an animal hospital like Tchefuncte Animal Hospital. Everything was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked in until the time we left! Everyone there made me feel like they have been knowing me and my fur baby for years! I brought my five year old son with me and he was horrified that our baby had to get shots. He cried and cried so Dr. Laura brought Peanut out of the room to administer the shots so my son would not have to see. This made him feel way more comfortable. On this Thanksgiving morning, as family and friends are wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving, I would like to give thanks and express appreciation to all of the employees of Tchfuncte Animal Hospital. This year has been a rough one as we have had to say goodbye to our sweet fur baby Angel. I'm thankful for how Dr. Morse was there to sit and console me as I had to make this very hard decision. I really appreciated the way the staff was supportive and the sympathy card that I recieved from him and Dr. Ferrara. I would like to say "thank you" to the kennel staff that lift my spirits in the way that they greet both of my dogs Belle and Tigger. My two babies love spending time with you and are so excited every time they have to spend time away from our family. You are truly their second family! I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to Michele and Cindy for always being patient with me on my requests for medication refills, bath schedules, check out and just making me feel very welcomed at the facility. I've lived on the Northshore since 1991, and I've had pets my entire life. My pets have seen a few vets in that timeframe, but I have never been as comfortable with anyone treating my dogs as I am with the caring veterinarians and staff at Tchefuncte Animal Hospital. Dr. Moores is the best vet ever. He is very compassionate. He explains procedures in detail. His office staff is very nice. The office is very clean. He makes house calls which is very convenient. We had to let our sweet lab "Lucy" cross the Rainbow Bridge and were very glad that we could do it at home. When we get a new dog, Dr. Moores will be our first visit. He is just as good with our cat "Icky". If I were an animal I would want doctor Morres as my vet. I kinda wish he were my doctor. I can't say enough about him and his staff. Thanks! Read Less

Dr. Moores has recently opened a veterinarian practice in Madisonville that offers the most innovative veterinarian care on the Northshore at this point. He has purchased the latest in medical and diagnostic equipment rather than outdated equipment other local vets use. Dr. Moores has the only digital X-ray machine in the area. He has also worked in veterinarian clinics in New Orleans and Nashville Tennessee that are on the 'cutting edge' of veterinarian care and wants to make that same care available to those on the Northshore.
