They have been amazing with my puppy. I’ve been going to them for everything with my pup. They are super friendly, not too costly, and overall just great people. I strongly recommend

This place is very expensive. I knew it was bad when I brought a kitten in and was given a price list of what I wanted to have done. $250 to get the kitty on two antibiotics. I later contacted this place to see how much it would cost to neutered the same kitten and I was told it was $200 with two optional $75 IV fluids that they recommended. If anyone needs to get a cat fixed look for veterinarians that are part of the Fix-A-Feline program. It is done for $30 ,and it is free for stray cats (ear gets tipped).  I guess one shouldn't expect to walk out of this place for anything less than $200. Read Less

Vets.  Vets are hard.  Do you go with a chain?  Do they have more resources than a local vet?  Do you go with convenience?  A lot of people I know just go to Crescent City because of the uptown location.  But I looked around, took my time, and chose Animal Care Center in Metairie.  I didn't make the decision lightly- I dislike having to trek out to JP as much as the next guy.  But I know when I go to ACC I'll always see Dr. Miller, and she will always take her time to talk about what's going on with my dog, keep me informed as to best maintain her health, and let me know my options.  When I'm worried, she's answered my stupid questions.  I've left occasional messages for her and she always gets back to me quickly. ("My dog ate a whole crawfish that fell on the ground at a boil.  Is this something I need to worry about?")  Whether it's fleas, tapeworms, Hip Dysplasia, or a chocolate/errant crawfish emergency, I trust Dr. Miller to keep my dog safe and healthy.  It's worth the drive up from NO- straight shot up Earhart, exit Hickory, to Dickory to David. (I hate when JP tries to be cute.)  It's also on the way to the airport, which is nice for Boarding. Read Less

A little out of the way if you live in New Orleans proper, but Dr. Jessica Miller is fantastic with a very nice staff.  Well worth the trip.
