It’s upsetting to see such great reviews because I would have loved to bring my pet there. However the lady at the front desk was so rude to me that I’m simply not going to pay someone who treats me with disrespect. I worked all night last night and was a little late getting up. I showed up at 11:25 for my 11:15 appointment and she said that we might as well go home because we were already a half hour late for our appointment. I don’t know if they had a miscommunication about what time I was to come in or what but first impressions are big and if you have to shoot off at the mouth in the first 20 seconds that I walk in the door, I’m taking my business elsewhere. I tell Preston that I’m taking him there and he keeps looking out the window and doesn’t even give me a chance to get out of my door, he has jumped out already! Dr Gutter is the best, as are the ladies up front and the techs, and Pam the groomer. We started with Dr Gutter when we had Lucy, our cocker/doxie mix. She lived to be close to 17, and he was always honest, including when it was time to stop the cancer surgeries and let her go. I trusted him completely. Next he saw izzy from the time we adopted her until Friday, when we had to say goodbye. she was a mini schnauzer and had issues like allergies and neurological problem later ...on. He told us when to spend money, and when not too, and I felt she lived to be about 16 because of his wonderful care. Both our dogs received the best care available, and both were gently and lovingly euthanized at the clinic. Algiers Animal Clinic has great vets and the rest of the staff are excellent as well. Each vet and vet tech treats your pets as if they were their own. I have six cats, and we always go here for regular vet care or whenever one of them gets sick. Dr. Daniel Vichot is especially great, and he always takes such good care of my pets. I've got one that's diabetic and another that had a thyroid problem, and he always works with us to find the best solution for us and for our cats. The office staff is also incredible, and they're so friendly, too. I would 100% recommend this clinic to all pet owners. Read Less

Our Chihuahuas were patients of Dr. Dellucky and soon to be patients of Dr. Gutter, since Dr. Dellucky has retired. The Algiers Animal Clinic took wonderful care of both of our Chihuahuas, during their spays, as well as my Grandparent's Dachshunds. Just picked my dog up from his first boarding stay. He has been there Thursday - Monday morning (today). They said they take them out 3 times a day, but is covered in so much poop, his fur is tacky. Had to feed him extra because he's eating like he's starving. I don't know the last time he ate. He's filthy, shedding, dehydrated, and hungry. Never again will I leave my dog there...I wish I could post the pics of what he looks like, bit it qont let me. Poor thing is covered in cuts and fleas too! Read Less

All four of our dogs go to Algiers Animal. Dr. Vichot has been very responsive and thorough with our dog's medical issues. He or his staff has always followed up to check on our sick dogs. We appreciate the extra effort.Read Less
