This vet has been amazing! Were new to New Orleans and one Saturday morning our pup wasn't being herself. It wasn't urgent enough to go to an emergency vet, but we were still concerned. After calling countless vets in the area, no one could get us in on a Saturday. Until we called Allstar. We went and saw the PRN doc on staff. Who was amazing! he explained what he thought was going on and gave us some meds to get us through the weekend. He suggested we bring her back on Monday to see Dr. Diggs to run some tests and be sure. He was correct in his assessment and our pup is doing great! Dr. Diggs explained everything in detail about what was going on, and in a way we could understand. He spent time with her, and when I went to pick her up Monday afternoon (she had to stay all day) instead of walking her on her leash out to the lobby, he just carried her under his arm "because she had a rough day". After worrying for a week on why one of my pittbulls (Queen) was not eating. I finally made an appointment at Allstar Animal Clinic. From the moment I walked in, I and my baby were treated with kindness, and smiles. To be honest, it felt like home. Mr. Diggs (AKA) Jai and his staff treated my Queen as if she was there own. He took not even 2 minutes to figure out what was wrong with Queen. Queen swallowed hair glue; along with hair- my fault. . Surgery went great!! Really nice place. My cat got into fight and injured his paw. Even so they were booked they managed to get us in first thing next morning. Everyone was friendly. And as usually with injury i was worried about how many procedures will have to be done and how much it will cost me. (I don't even have health insurance for myself) .Doctor was very nice and offered x-ray as an option as after examination the sign of broken bone were really slim ; so avoiding expenses  i can't really afford. In many other places i was usually pressured to get more procedures done. Here i felt comfortable and i got services i came for. It was easy experience for me and my cat. Well we found our new Vet! My dog had been having accidents in my house and was eventually diagnosed with "gout" by PVC Clinic in Gretna about 2 years ago.  Here's the thing: (1) after 2 urinalysis and a blood test, PVC still misdiagnosed him and he had signs of a urinary tract infection, not gout (note: my dog was probably in a lot of pain the entire time), (2) PVC told me that my dog needed to eat a certain (and expensive) type of food for the rest of his life, but turns out that was not true (note: PVC sold this food at their clinic, amongst other things), (3) the dog food caused my dog to have an allergic reaction where his paws would turn pink from licking them (note: the area around his eyes and snout also turned pink), (4) when I asked PVC what I could do about the allergies, they told me the only option would be to administer allergy medication for the rest of his life (note: this option is expensive and you have to issue a pill every day).  Sound strange, huh? I was already confused and frustrated at this point so that's when I brought my dog to see Dr. Diggs.  After just 1 visit, I saw a drastic change in his appearance and his allergy-related issues vanished within two months.  Also, his urinary tract infection improved significantly and he wasn't having accidents around the house as much.  It should be noted that Dr. Diggs took the time to answer my questions and my dog actually seems excited to go to All Star, which speaks volumes about the clinic's environment.Pet owners need honest answers, not just a vet or clinic that appears to be "nice" and sugar coats their opinions.  True compassion for animals is shown through a clinic's commitment to solve problems and produce positive results for their clients, therefore I highly recommend Dr. Diggs and All Star Animal Clinic for taking on this type of mentality. I am always nervous when checking out a new vet (recently moved to the area so I needed a new one), but I could not be happier with my experience. Not only were they able to accommodate me right away with an appointment, but the vet was amazingly friendly, wonderful when interacting with my cat (him and his team paused several times to play and calm my kitty down), and took the time to answer all my questions without hurrying my out the door. I called All Star in a panic when my elderly cat needed an emergency tooth extraction and my usual vet was booked (and not very empathetic or understanding). They got us in the very next morning, completed the procedure the same day and at a lower price than what the previous vet quoted. Such a relief. Went in today trying to buy a single dose of Trifexis they wouldn't sell it to me because I'm not a customer.I had all my paperwork from my dog's regular  veterinarian. I'm guess it's all about money .I couldn't make it to my regular vet today and that's why i had to go to all crap.I was thinking about changing vets for all my 3 fuzzy kids but now i like vets who have a heart and not money signs in their eyes. Let me tell everyone about Dr. Diggs.... If he's not your pet's vet you are missing out on the BEST dr there is. We met Dr Diggs back in 2012 when my husband got orders to New Orleans. I don't know about you but my pets are my babies. I trusted him EVERY SINGLE TIME no questions asked. My cat had a kidney stone. He took care of her, she was back to perfect in no time. My husky got fixed there and she recovered 100%. Every time we went for ANYTHING we felt like we were getting the best care we could possibly get.2015 we get orders to California... The day we left New Orleans we stopped to get records and say goodbye. I swear All star vet is one of the things I  miss most about NOLA. We've had issues with our Husky since we got here, vets just don't seem to fix the problem. I couldn't take it anymore so I called Dr Diggs yesterday. The only thing I wanted was for him to look at a picture of what was going on and get an opinion, I needed an opinion from him because I trust him. He called me last night, spoke with my husband asked for pictures, medical records and pretty much treated us like we were in his office. He is sending meds to us here in Cali. If this doesn't tell you this guys is amazing I don't know what will. He had no need to call me back or even care about anything and he made us feel like we were right there in his office. If I could bring All Star vet with me every time we get orders I would. You can almost find everything every time u move to a new city but I'll never find a vet who can top Dr. Diggs. I've been meaning to write this review for a month now. It's in regards to Courtney the groomer. She is amazing! We had a groomer but he was farther away and it just wasn't working out so we decided to try someone closer. She made my dogs look the best they've looked since we've moved here a year and a half ago. She also did great with my dog who seems to prefer women groomers over men for some reason. I live around the corner, and so I wanted to try All Star, but didn't know anything about it. I cannot say enough good things, So glad we went. I have two cats, and two kids and Dr. Diggs and his staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Really love this place, and highly recommend it. Good hours as well. I just moved from Michigan and my cat was acting weird. So I came to yelp and typed in vets in Nola. All Star was the first vet to pop up, and God am I happy they were. Dr. Diggs and staff are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! They made it seem like my cat was their cat! And the vet itself was clean and in a wonderful location. I completely recommend this vet to anybody and everybody!
