They work with you as best as they can, and offer you credit methods should you qualify. They will always quote you BEFORE anything is done to give you as much time to work out anything you can for your fur baby. They will also offer you any other affordable alternatives to help you if they are available. The vets, and staff alone are worth every penny you'll spend with them. Having worked for another pet clinic in the area, I still CHOSE them bc of their compassion, patience, and genuine care and concern for my Bambi girl. They saved her life in a time when I honestly COULD NOT afford to pay for the services, and yet, they still managed to help me find a solution. I'll NEVER bring my pets anywhere else. I have used ARK for over 5 years. After getting a quote for surgery on my dog at a Magazine Street clinic, I got a second opinion and quote from ARK. They were LESS THAN HALF of the quote for the exact same procedure. The MAGAZINE street quote was $1,700 and the ARK quote was $650 We used them for the surgery, and were so impressed with their care, that we switched vets permanently. They are beyond busy and still manage to be upbeat, friendly& compassionate. As low cost services are diminishing, this establishment is not giving up on care for animals in need. This place is poorly operated and organized. Bad communication between staff and lack of information to customer. Most places give you a discharge sheet with written instructions of when and how to correctly administer medicine. They also usually give a summary of how the procedure went and what they found versus having to call next day when the vet happens to be around. No thanks. Read Less

Moved to the area Dec 2015, looked up their name online, tried them out and we love them. The staff is Nice, Dr. Norris is great, and they love our puppy Jacquay. Also for new homeowners, we find their prices are very reasonable. Read Less

The vet was great and friendly, however one of the girls at the front desk had a rotten attitude. Was disappointed that they didn't provide "after care" instructions either like most other vets. Not to mention they're a bit over priced.Read Less

Wonderful staff! I've seen every vet. My dog receives quality care for a very reasonable price. I get his shots and preventative meds from Ark. Last summer my dog became infected from a mosquito bite. When I brought him for treatment the vet spent an inordinate amount of time explaining everything to me. Everything worked out fine with a steroid shot, antibiotic cream and extra snuggles.I board my yorkipoo with Ark and he loves everyone (I suspect he doesn't want to come home). Good service, but a bit overpriced. Their bordatella shots cost about $12 more than most other places in the city, and they charged me $30 for an anal gland service without asking me if I wanted them to do it first. I had trusted this Ark Animal Hospital for over five years.. This year they insisted that we switch our dogs to Trifexis for heart worm and flea control.. The day after the 2nd monthly dose our 35 lb Eskimo, Moxie, died in my hands after I got home from work. I called Ark about this and they indicated that our dog was in good heath and could not offer an explanation on why she had died... Four months later,our second dog, Sasha, had a major attack, less than 24 hours after taking Trifexis .. This time we raced across town to a 24 hour emergency vet who was able to stabilize our dog and ran some bloodwork.. This is when we found out that Trifexis had triggered a seizure in our dog almost killing her, and this was definitely why our first dog Moxie died. I no longer trust Ark Animal Hospital. I believe for the prices we were paying for service and the expensive drugs they talked us into, they should of at least warned us that by switching to this relatively new drug there was a risk that our dogs could have seizures and die! No, instead Ark Animal Hospital was more concerned about pushing this new drug and selling as much as they can for profit and in the end they did not even offering an apology when the drugs they prescribe killed on of our pets! This is one of those places that is small , close nit with friendly careing staff , that take alot of time and attention out to give to you and your pet. Very reasonable pricing, safe anesthesia for your pet and very well trained staff. my experiences here have always been good, 3 years now ive been bringing my persian cat for reg shots and grooming.Dont let the older style building or the old town area it is in fool you.
