I've never had a vet like Crescent City Vet - they are amazing. We see Dr Henry but I have heard great things about Dr Hansen as well.  When my dog was ill and had to spend several nights, the vet tech Sarah held him in her lap and texted me every 2 hours all night long to let me know how he was doing.  That is not just "customer service" - that is true caring and kindness. I cannot say enough good things about both vets and the entire staff. Everyone is so kind and caring. You can tell that they all genuinely love animals. Anytime I have left my dog for boarding he leaves there a happy dog which has not always been the case at other places. Once (years ago) when he had an allergic reaction to his annual shots Dr. Henry called me the next day (a Saturday) from his personal cell to check in and make sure he was doing ok. I'm not even sure how long I've been taking my 16 year old dog here but it has been by far the best vet experience I've ever had. Read Less

Cat went in for spaying. Vet did not supply a collar, or suggest one be used. Couple hours later, the cat has pulled out all the stitches and she's dragging her guts around. Take her to emergency surgeon because it's late. Costs ~$2k to clean and stitch her up. Crescent City Vet does not accept any responsibility for it, but they do offer to keep her for a few days while she is administered the shots and recoups from surgery. I arrive to pick her up, AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR THE BOARDING SHE RECEIVED. Unbelievable. I refused and left and will never return.Update: Business Owner mistakenly thinks a) that I have returned for pet care since this incident. Not so, not even once - I switched to another vet and couldn't be happier...and b) that the collar was mentioned when kitty was picked up - it was not. Read Less

We take our dog there 4 to 5 days a week for doggie day care and our dog, Ellie, loves it! The staff is wonderful and they pay close attention to our dog, they know her well and let us know how she is doing on a regular basis. When our dog needs medical attention we get a direct call from our vet, Dr. Ned, telling us what is going on and how he recommends we treat issues. Thank God for Crescent City Vet! I cannot give Crescent City Vet enough praise! The staff is so wonderful and sweet and compassionate. I have a rescue dog who is scared of people, but after a few weeks of going to the puppy play group she was so excited to see the staff every time we went. Any time I have had to take her in for a clinic visit, the doctors are very good at explaining what is going on and know how to put you at ease. When my dog Pickles was getting an eye exam, the assistant was holding her and out of the corner of my eye I saw him kiss her on her back! I almost cried! I am moving out of town in a few months and I will be so sad to leave this vet.Read Less

Went in today with one of my dogs for his annual exam. It was our first time here as we're new to the city and I couldn't be more impressed and happy with the staff and Dr. Ned. All the staff before, during and after our time there were extremely nice and courteous and the facility is clean! Their new patient packet is full of all the information that I need to know and answered all the questions that I had before even asking them. Wonderful experience. The clinic was so accommodating and compassionate. The veterinarian was superb and every member of the support staff too. They definitely really care about the animals. My dog can be a little timid (despite being a 66 lb pitbull) and they were so good with her. They fit me in early because they were concerned about her symptoms and they saw me right away, no waiting. I'm new to New Orleans and I'm so happy to have found such a great vet.Read Less

The best vets in New Orleans hands down. I've  been to four others but after going here why would you need to go anywhere else?I bring both my Cat and dog here and the care and service are truly awesome.Dr Hansen always explains any procedures or problems clearly and thoughtfully.
