Eye Center For Animals

New Orleans, Louisiana
General Info
Eye Center For Animals in New Orleans continues to make a difference in the lives of local pet owners. Veterinary services at the Eye Center For Animals in New Orleans are strictly on a tolerance basis and not necessity support of many families and animals throughout Louisiana. Before granting permission for a physical examination, cats demand that observers only engage in indirect eye contact. The dogs may need some time between procedures and want to smell the equipment for approval which is usually fine. The method is species- and emotion-oriented: no excess stimuli, respect for tolerance levels. The method treats owners as equal co-partners. Clinicians also treat what pets do at home (for instance, who they sleep with after a thunderstorm or how they interact with new textures) as clinical information. The Eye Center For Animals services for multiple species on comprehensive preventive planning, diagnostics, internal medicine, nutrition counseling and diet analysis, dentistry and senior pet wellness. The timing of each procedure is harmonized with the animal’s ability to stay calm and present. Some pets have the diagnostics split over several visits, and others need plans to reduce anxiety. Exotic pets receive unique care techniques that aim to prevent them from health problems through stress. Post-discharge, families receive post-care instructions via text messages to monitor the pain and understand how to check for sound or activity overexcitement and resume normal interactions. Each treatment plan follows a distinct rhythm, guiding when to pause, when to act, and when to reassess. Eye Center For Animals provides veterinary care to New Orleans families and the surrounding Louisiana communities by ensuring respect for each patient’s body language, stress triggers, and timing needs. Popular services offered at the hospital include orthopedic surgery, anesthesiology, ultrasounds, surgery, diagnostics, ophthalmology, behavioral counseling and radiology (x-rays). From routine wellness plans to more complex health issues, Eye Center For Animals instills confidence in pet owners through communication and high standards that help keep pets healthy. The team is committed to ongoing growth and community involvement to ensure pets in New Orleans and throughout the United States have access to high-quality care.

This was the second time that I utilized the services of this facility. I was extremely pleased with the courteous staff, ability to ask questions and explanations of finances and any medical terms that was not understood. My pet had surgery and as usual I was worried but I was put at ease with a phone call as well as consultation with the doctor after the procedure. I give this facility a positive recommendation for eye care for animals and medical procedures. Read Less

Dr. DaCosta knows how to treat animals with eye problems better than anyone else around. He is gentle and thorough with my 19-year-old dog.
