NOLA Animal Clinic misdiagnosed our cat, told us she would be fine after spending $400 on bloodwork and then she convulsed and died in our arms 6 hours after they told us the bloodwork was fine and 2 days after we saw them. I called yesterday for an emergency my 5mon husky was attacked by an older Rottweiler . The Rottweiler bit my puppy tail off. I called on March 17 to make an appointment for today March 24 to be told that an appointment was never booked for me. Phone was disconnected and I returned the call back to have MICHELLE answer the phone saying "I HAVE A LONG LINE, IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN HELP YOU WITH RIGHT QUICK". Love the grooming.. that’s the only service we use but need improvement on wait times. We have to wait for check in and wait for pick up. One time we waited 15min to drop off and then 15min for pick up when we were called and notified he was ready in the same day. Waited quite a while for an emergency visit. Vet took blood but talked in circles over diagnosis. Charged us $278 to put her to sleep and dispose her body. Very offended by that term as she wasnt a bag of garbage to dispose. Taking advantage of people when they are losing a furbaby is horrible. They should be ashamed. Took my 13 yo furbaby for an emergency visit. The vet was wishy washy but did a cbc. He wouldnt make a positive diagnosis and talked in circles. I knew it was cancer and Im not a vet. Charged us $278 to put her to sleep and "dispose" of her. Im so offended by the term on my bill as she was NOT a bag of garbage but my family member. Shame on them for taking advantage when people are in crisis. No vet charges this for putting your pet to sleep. Many charge NOTHING. We were staying at the nearby RV park when our dog screamed out in pain. One of his nails was turned at a 90 degree angle. We called an hour before they closed and they told us to come on in. Part 1 of a Series of Events. Today is November 4, 2015. I've been a customer with NOLA Animal Clinic for 9 years, on and off. My pet was dropped off for Bath/Grooming. His eyes were PERFECT. Upon picking him up, the groomer said, "What's that?" Oh, it's just a piece of hair" Referring to my pet's eye. We arrive at home and within half hour, his eye was half closed and I noticed a red spot on his LEFT eye. I wiped it with damp towel, thinking it was just mild irritation(it had happened before. HIs eye being irritated and I was told sometimes during bathing, soap gets into pet's eye. Then later told, bathing products are non-irritating) within an hour, his eye was completely closed. I called the NOLA's office and spoke with Maryann letting her know what happened. I was told to bring my pet back in for exam.....it is November 4,2015. This "SAGA" began on OCTOBER 21, 2015 and my pet has been seen by 3 Vets, plus owner and Vet. Dr. Lily Rai. Any and all accounts are going to be posted as they occur. Right now, I am beyond pissed because I have YET to receive an "I'm sorry you're going through this" etc...Just because there is as bill that I'm paying on does not mean to disregard me and my pet. I was trying to work this in a way of not doing this, but since my feelings and the health of my pet is being treated as "Oh, well. Whatever?" So be it. As stated in the beginning of this "Review" this is PART 1. I am encouraging any and all customers to do a review, as there are many. And for years, I disregarded accounts from employees, past and current, as well as other customers. But this is crazy, the one thing I learned in my 25 years of working in Customer Service NOT "The Customer is always right." But to TREAT THE CUSTOMER WITH RESPECT. And I have not been shown this recently and many times in the past. I have had enough. My Rottweiler Rock doesn't usually even cooperate at the Vet's office, but they made him feel comfortable enough for an exam, when it usually takes five people to administer his shots! I walked in off the street with no appointment as I was from out-of-town and in need of emergency veterinary aid. The clinic was quite busy, but I was immediately shown into an exam room with my dog to determine the extent of his injuries as a result of an incident with a cat. Each staff member was kind, efficient, and caring (both to Bradley and to me!). I found out as I spent more time at the NOLA that this is the way they handle their regular clients, both human and animal. The doctor and her staff obviously know their stuff. I am so furious right now. I picked my dog up from here who was supposed to be getting groomed, instead her fur was butchered. They shaved my dog after I said not to. Not only that, her tail was bleeding. YES BLEEDING. And it looked like she had been burned. They tried to blame it on a mole but there is no excuse for my dog to be bleeding. The OWNER basically didn't care and said that there was nothing she could do. At this point I lost it. And on top of that they tried to trump up the charges. They were telling everyone that their dog had the same issues so that they could charge extra. They refused to give a refund or a discount so you know I'm disputing the charges. HORRIBLE customer service. Morgan has a nasty attitude. Do NOT go there. My dog went for grooming and left w burns all over her body. When I took her to Petco her regular groomers, I called to have them fax over her healtg records and they refused. Said I had to pick them up or fax a request with my ID n information. After doin so it toom them over 30 minutes to fax the information back while I told them I was there waiting. When i called to check the status they hung up n my face then faxed a blank copy!Read Less

I do not recommend this place. I've boarded my dog in five different places in the city, and she never came back smelly and dirty like she did when she boarded at nola animal clinic. She also came back thinner. I felt terrible for my dog. The facility is still in post-Katrina damage when I used their services. They recently moved to a temporary trailer but the dogs were still housed in the old facility. When the receptionist asked the technician to fetch my dog from the other facility, she shouted into the walkie talkie - ""Spray some perfume on the dog before you bring it over."" Read Less

Nola Animal Clinic is the cleanest veterinary facility I have ever been in. The staff are wonderful, caring people. When Katrina was imminent Dr. Rai took 13 animals that were being boarded with her to a safe place because the owners were unable to come and pick them up. The location of the animals was put on her website and eventually the pets and owners were reunited but for some of them it took a couple of months. Read Less
