The only plus to this vet is it’s convenience factor. I lived in the Marigny so it was an easy walk for visits. My puppy’s first visit ever was for his last set of shots, because he got everything else from the SPCA, resulted in him getting shots he didn’t need because they were careless and did not pay attention to all his paperwork. When they realized what they did, the response was that it was no big dig deal and I wouldn’t be charged for them. That’s not the point! The point is you put extra chemicals in my puppy’s body that he didn’t need and are poking him like a pin cushion. Another issue is their push for trifexis. It’s almost as if they are getting paid by the company. Last month, November 2017, I switched him from his normal interceptor plus and frontline plus because they kept suggesting it....it made him very lethargic-his eyes would roll in the back of his head, he couldn’t keep his head up, etc. I call the vet to see if he needs to go to the emergency room. They said just watch him and he will be fine. He was better the next morning but for two days my energetic puppy just slept. I take the meds back and they wanted to argue with me about it not being a possibility... NO! In the side effects it says he can feel this way and that it was a low percentage (something like 2.7%). But also, if any med makes him feel that way then it’s too toxic. I got a refund on the meds, but I just dont understand why they are more supportive of the meds and not the puppy’s health. From this day I tried to order Interceptor Plus from them... interesting that they do not sell it in the office at all... I got it in the office his last 6 month round. But they do have Trifexis! I refused to buy it but was told not to let him miss a heartworm pill. The point of this visit was because I was moving and wanted to get what he needed until his yearly visit in February. Anyways, I ordered his meds online and they ignored the first request. The online company sent a second one and I had to call the vet because they did not respond to the fax again. Now we are at today. I received a call this morning saying that they would not fill the prescription because he is now a year old and he needs his heartworm test. Understandable. My question was that since his yearly visit is in February, why can’t I wait until then since he has been on heartworm meds since his last visit? But they wouldn’t. Just interesting because if they had the meds last month when I asked for them then I wouldn’t be going through this and he would have had that heartworm check at his yearly visit. i could go on. Convenient, yet careless, and more worried about selling stuff to you than care of your furry friend. Read Less

I ended up going here during an emergency because it was the closest vet to us. I'm really glad that I did. We saw Dr. Claire who really put me at ease and treated my dog quickly. (He needed a few staples.) She even trimmed his nails afterwards. Mostly I was impressed with how quick and painless the staples were. I was expecting a big traumatic scene, but it was over before I even blinked. I'm also used to vets pushing X-rays and other unnecessary things on me but that didn't happen here. Whatever the costs, I would pay it to make sure my dog is healthy, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill. I thought for sure it would run around $200 for an emergency visit - it ended up being less than $100 including medication. I would highly recommend this vet for emergency or general care. The staff does an amazing job treating animals. There aren't that many places you can get quality pet care that won't cost you an arm and a leg. We've decided to switch vets after this experience.
