I love Dr. Waguespack and his staff at Siegan Lane Animal Clinic. He is the most honest and down to earth doctor I have encountered. He has taken such great care of all of my pets. When other vets claimed that my Pomeranian needed surgery, Dr. Waguespack was reserved and explored other options. He is definitely not quick to run up the vet bill which I very much appreciate. Thanks to him my two dogs and cat are healthy and loved. I have recommended him to all my friends and family. Thank you Dr. Waguespack!!! Read Less

We took our dog here and after a basic heart worm test he told us 'he has a little spot on the test which shows he may have some heart worm larvae, we will give him a preventative and he should be good to go.' We did this 3 separate times over the course of a year. After easily spending over 1,000 dollars at his clinic, we still had our doubts. We went to other vets and had multiple opinions and they all came back the same. 'You can't maybe have heartworms or larvae, either you do or you dont'. We will now have to spend well over 1,000 dollars AGAIN to have our dog treated which we could have had done a year ago now risking our dogs health even more than it should have. If you value your animal at all, DO NOT GO HERE. throughout this entire process not only did he act like he could care less one way or another but we would always get cut off by him when trying to ask questions. I don't see how all of these people are willing to rate him 5 stars. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Read Less

I was previously bringing my pet to another local clinic. Although the service was ok at the other clinic, the prices were extremely high. I had heard about Siegen Lane Animal Clinic from a friend and decided to use them to have my 4 year old lab neutered. Dr. Waguespack was very busy so I didn't have a chance to really talk with him, but they did a great job. He even called me later that evening to make sure the incision was looking ok and not bleeding. My dog was done the same day and healed up great. At one point I had a concern over a stich, but Dr. Waguespack told me to bring him by and he checked him out immediately. In addition, the price was extremely reasonable. I was very happy with the whole process and would recommend Dr. Waguespack to others. It looks like I've found a new vet. Read Less

So the clinic is a little dirty, I will agree with the previous poster.  It could use some cosmetic work but really, when people are bringing animals through the door all day every day, it's bound to get grimy... I would (and have) trusted Dr. Phil Waguespack with my animals' lives on a couple of occasions.  We have two dogs, one since she was 6 months old and she's 4 now, one since he was a puppy, and he's a year and a half.  They've been seen by the clinic since we got them.    Our older dog Corey has gotten into messes before with fences and she's always been taken well care of.  When we were on our destination wedding/honeymoon, we had left our dog at home under the care of a dog-sitter, and our poor dog immediately ate something toxic (toad? garlic? who knows) and the dog sitter ended up taking her to Dr. Phil and that's where she stayed for 12 days until we got back (think of me on my wedding day, about to get hair and makeup done, on the phone with Dr. Phil, hearing that my dog might not live until I get home.....worst/best day ever).  Long story short, he did EVERYTHING in his power to keep my baby alive and even though she was emaciated from whatever illness struck her, she was wagging her tail when we finally got back.  Our other dog Colton decided to swim before he had the skills and aspirated water into his lungs recently.  Of course on a Sunday we had an emergency vet visit, but Siegen Lane Animal Clinic took Colt that Monday and kept him overnight to keep an eye on him.  He was fine but it was nice to not worry.  Their boarding services are reasonable, the vet visit prices are about the same as anywhere else, obtaining an appointment is easy, and the love the techs and Dr. Phil have for animals is so apparent. I brought my newly adopted cat Smokey here last Friday for annual shots (this is the vet Smokey had been seeing for several years.)  This was my first time here and probably will be my last.  The door of the clinic was filthy, grimy hand prints, dirt, scratches, etc.  I was skeptical of touching the knob to enter and then in dire need of an antibacterial agent.  The receptionist had a demeanor of a wet rag.  I explained to her that it was my first time, yadda yadda yadda.....she didn't seem to be listening to a word I said as she fumbled around her desk fiddling with other paperwork and then trying to check me in.  I was just talking and talking and she never responded to me.  I asked to speak to the vet who was in surgery so I dropped Smokey off and rolled out.  Later, I was able to speak with the vet via telephone concerning the VAS that he removed from Smokey's thigh back in March 2013.  I asked that he not give her the leukemia shot again (the cause of the VAS).  The clinic's history on file was incorrect.  I partially blame this on the previous owner.  I cleared this up for Dr.Wag as he was very confused over the matter.  Basically, I am not impressed with the medical attention Smokey has received, the cleanliness of the facility, and especially the attitude/personalities (lack there of) of the staff at this place. I think I'll choose Staring Plaza Vet next time. Read Less
