They were wonderful. My stepson drives otr with his dog and the dog managed to stop on the power window rolling it down and fell out on the highway breaking her leg in the process, I called several vets in the area and for that level orthopedic work Bellevue was the one all recommended. He got the dog there but had to get back on the road to deliver his load in Florida. They were very helpful and understanding. They kept us updated as to treatment, surgery and costs via the phone. Once surgery was completed my wife and I drove in from TX to pick her up. The facilities were very clean staff was nice but the best part was that because of their orthopedic staff our dog not only survived but still has all 4 legs can't say thank you enough and express our gratitude enough for this clinic. My husband and I both felt that these folks, while nice, were not as friendly as we are used to by our former vet. One gal was really rough with my pup and she was scared and nipped her so they muzzled her. I will probably not use them very often even though they are close to my house. I want a veterinarian who's entire staff is loving and caring to my animals. I honestly flet like I was interrupting the gal at the front desk by even walking in the front door. Read Less

Wonderful service! We brought in the stray cat that we adopted for his first checkup after a friend suggested we go to Bellevue. Dr. Simon was very friendly and she answered all the questions we had. Five stars for Bellevue Animal Clinic! We moved up to Opelousas after Katrina and had to find a new vet for our fur babies. Twelve years later and we still use Bellevue. Office staff are very friendly and professional. The entire space is clean and presents well when walking in. The doctor's are SOOOO good to my entire family. Not only do they treat the dogs but they engage my 4 kids during the visit. I will never go to another vet clinic....EVER. We now have 2 dogs, a bullmastiff, a yorkie, and a pomeranian. They all go to Bellevue. Am also very comfortable with them boarding when we're out of town because I trust they are received top notch care. We love Bellevue! Read Less

I have a service dog due to my eye sight. I noticed after brushing my dog that she had a lump on her left side. I had Dr Mike take a look at it and instead of immediately wanting to operate he told me that he would keep an eye on it. Him suggesting to wait made me feel very confident that he didn't want to just put her out of service right away About 5 months later I noticed another one right next to it. Dr Mike took control of the situation with encouragement and assured me that it wasn't anything for me to be worried about. He removed both cyst and she is doing awesome. When my dog broke her leg the people at Bellevue were amazing. They took her right away and treated her with gentle hands. Every time we go for a bandage they are so polite and always have a smile on their face. The veterinarians are amazing and so thoughtful and treat your pet as if it was their own. The staff was very sweet and helpful when I brought in my rescue. We found that my new dog had heart worms. It was suggested that we do the fast kill treatment at the cost of $700-$800. After seeking opinions for a couple other vets, we found that the cost was more than double what others charge and that we should try the slow kill method first as our dog is not showing any symptoms of heart worms, just tested positive. I have had more than one visit at bellevue but no other time was as pleasant as today..... I took my pregnant almost due Chihuahua over for a visit and the lady vet who seen us was so kind and very helpful. I do not remember her name.. I'm sure she saw the nervousness in me. I can't say enough good things about Bellevue Animal Clinic. I adopted a cat from the local animal shelter and he ended up being sick. Dr. Kevin was always very informative and patient as he explained everything. I never felt rushed on the phone or in person. The receptionists and vet techs were also very friendly and helpful. I just moved to this area and decided to try Bellevue. I'm glad I did. The receptionist was very kind and had great customer service skills. The vet tech was awesome. When I met with the vet, he was very friendly and gave me a lot of good advice. When he heard that my daughter was in her third year at LSU vet school he informed me she was welcome anytime and if she had any questions to come see him. Love, love, love these folks!! Doctors and staff are awesome people who obviously love animals as much as we do. Between the 2 of them, our girls Ruby and Lula have been treated by all of the doctors there at one time or another...can't say enough good things about Bellevue. While we were there Wednesday, Dr. Kevin F. recognized Ruby when she was taken in the back to be weighed and came in the treatment room where I was talking to Dr. Kevin A to say hi and check on Ruby! Being a nervous Nelly by natural. I worry about my boys. One of which is a Dennis the Menace. After a few back and forth visits. I ask for Dr. Kevin my original Vet to look at my problem child ( cat ,9yr/19 lbs)He took his time to Try to answer all my questions. of which some had no answer. I brought my male dog in as an emergency. They promptly brought us in and diagnosed his problem. He needed surgery. They made it happen and he is doing better now. Just brought him home. Dr.Brandi was very caring and answered all of my questions. I was extremely concerned about his age (14) and the surgery.. but all went well. I will defiantly bring my other two dogs to her. Awesome place! I brought my dogs for boarding and a bath and they discovered an ear infection on my Molly girl. Most vets don't bother to check the well being of a boarder unless there is something very visibly wrong. I was pretty impressed that they caught this and was concerned about her comfort and well being. It's a top notch facility and I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family. :-) Thanks for caring for my pets so responsibly and professionally.
