Haughton Animal Hospital, located in the Haughton, La Community is a mixed animal full-service practice. We offer companion animal medicine, surgery, and boarding. Our large animal division routinely provides in-hospital as well as farm service calls for horses and livestock in the area.
Our practice is located on US Highway 80 approximately 5 miles east of Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, La and 1-1/2 miles west of the Hwy 157 and US Hwy 80 intersection.
We currently have 5 full-time veterinarians and 1 part-time veterinarian on staff. Our veterinarians have over 120 years of combined experience in practice.
Our services include the latest technology in diagnostic and medical procedures. We also work closely with a large number of specialists when a referral is necessary.

The fact that I called to let you know how my dog (your patient) was and how much pain he was in with his diagnosis and just to inform yall about what I was told and what he was diagnosed with after reviewing a bath from yall the day before. (Being as your his vet!) Noone asked how he was doing or if he needed anything. The only thing I got was talked over by the vet who could do nothing but say he probably had a allergic reaction over and over without even listening or even asking his symptoms when I said multiple times what he was diagnosed with the night before at another vet. He has Post-Grooming furunculosis after receiving a bath from yall! I've got all the photos to prove what he was diagnosed with and how his painful infection has worsen. The vet cared more about talking over me to defend how they did no wrong and how they didn't do nothing but wash with soap and water. I never accused the vet or anyone I was simply informing yall of what happened. Yet I was not asked about my dog once and that goes to show your character on these animals your suppose to love and care for. . The vet didn't care, I'll never refer anyone again and will leave a review on how careless and rude we were treated. Not to mention when I board my dogs for 4 days and 3 nights and you only feed them enough out of the food I brought for 2 days. Plus send me home with another dogs blanket because you (got the dogs mixed up) so who knows if my dogs were even taken care of properly or boarded together like they were supposed to be!!

My dog wasn't feeling well and wasn't acting like herself. Took her here since my family has cattle and they come out to us. Found out her female parts were messed up and she had to have emergency surgery or she would have died. This was a little over a week ago and now she is back to her old self again. Wouldn't take my pet anywhere else.

This is the only place I will take my animals!!! They always take care of my babies! Last week I had to take my cat to be put down and the vet tech had built such a relationship with my cat, that they were crying right along with me. They even sent a card that was signed by the whole staff (which may have brought more tears to my eyes), but to me it just shows how much they care for your animals.

The staff are always so friendly and kind. A few weeks ago we had to put down one of our fur babies, and the caring support we recieved from Dr. Julie and her assistants was so heartwarming. When strays pop up in our yard, the staff always welcome us in to do chip checks. Thank you Haughton Animal Hospital for being that crew that makes going to a vet not so intimidating and cold.

I misplaced a prescription for one of my dogs while packing my house for storage. On Halloween night while most of you were trick or treating, Dr. Townsend was meeting me to make sure my poodle did not have a seizure. He drove straight from the woods to take care of us. Came home yesterday and found one of my worst fears! My puppy on the ground in pain and could not walk. I immediately called this office which we had been to before. I was told "well sorry but we close in 6 minutes. " I understand you have to go home but I live within a block. What was 20 mins? My dog has since passed. I will never use you all again and I will strongly urge no one else to as well.

Dr. Burson takes care of all my little kids just as if they were her own, and Dr. Eddie Moore, and Dr. Makenzie Moore take great care of my big kids. Dr. Burson saved two of my dogs from Heartworms 10 years ago. I still have them, and one is close to 20 yrs old now. I first met Dr. Eddie Moore 10 yrs. ago when I moved here. My horses were in transport and one was colicking. Although I never met him before, he came right out to our farm to help out as soon as they came in. I have never had to worry about finding someone to care for my kids with this team. They are always there for you and they give it their all. Thank you all for taking care of me and my family.

My dog wasn't feeling well and wasn't acting like herself. Took her here since my family has cattle and they come out to us. Found out her female parts were messed up and she had to have emergency surgery or she would have died. This was a little over a week ago and now she is back to her old self again. This is the only place I will take my animals!!! They always take care of my babies! Last week I had to take my cat to be put down and the vet tech had built such a relationship with my cat, that they were crying right along with me.
