Country Place Veterinary Clinic was established in 1990 as a full-service veterinary medical facility to serve the people of St. Martinville, La and surrounding communities. The goal of Dr. Jackie Simon and her professional and courteous staff is to provide quality medicine and surgery services while educating pet owners in the art of preventative medicine. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health related educational opportunities for our clients.
Dr. Simon is a member of the Acadiana Area Veterinary Association (has been treasure for the past several years), the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Walter J Earnest Foundation, Louisiana State Animal Response Team (LSART), and has served on the Lafayette Parish Animal Control Advisory Board. She has worked with the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis Club, 4-H Clubs, and Trinity Catholic School organizations. Each year she sponsors the Healthy Heart Contest for area fourth graders. In 2006, Country Place Veterinary Clinic was awarded the prestigious Good Neighbor Award by the Better Business Bureau and was recognized as a runner-up for the Customer Commitment Award.

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Jackie for several years. We have 4 (yes 4) rat terriers, two older dogs and two young pups. Dr. Jackie has provided excellent care and concern for each of them in their time of need. As you can imagine, four dogs have required care for several different kinds of routine and specific problems. The care at Countrywide has always been great. We are grateful for their expertise and kindness.

Country Place has been the place to go for our pet care since its opening in 1990. Dr. Jackie & her staff have cared for a few of our pets, the most recent our Pekingese, Poppy....she has been there for him for all of his 15 years. Nine years ago we brought him to the clinic with a severe back problem, expecting the worst. She gave us the option of letting her try caring for him at her place for a week or so before having him euthanized...Now, though on his last leg, Poppy is still with us, and still being cared for by Dr. Jackie. We have nothing but praise for the kindness and compassion of all who work there.

My Dad (Conrad Gauthier 4-H Agent for years) and who knew her as a young Lady always said "that young Lady will be a Perfect Vet. w/a Heart of Gold when it comes to people and their Animals and Pets! My beloved cat had kittens. A few days later she stopped eating and purring, in fact she didn't make any sounds at all. I called another vet and they recommended that I bring her in the next day if she hadn't started to eat never offering an appointment. I noticed her jaw swollen so I call Country Place and got an appointment within 15 mins. Turns out Blythe had an abscess and would have died without treatment cat and kittens. Dr. Simon told what would work faster showed me how to get her to eat and she was better by the next day. Blythe is now stuck on canned food but it's a small price to pay for family. I recommend Country Place because they really care about our pets. They also took good care of my cat Willow.

Staff was great today! I have been bringing my dogs and cats here for years. But today they went above and beyond. I decided to call when my original vet was busy. My original vet's office was supposed to call me back about allowing my dog in on surgery day but now its almost 6pm and no call back!!!! Dr. Sonya has called me twice already!!! Thank you for your compassion! Needles a to say this is now our first vet of choice!!

Dr. Simon has a heart for the animals she treats. It seems like I've only gone there for problems (aside from the very easy spays that my two little pound puppies had done there). Her staff is just as caring as she is. I'm lucky to have landed here in St. Martinville with the clinic just a few miles away.

For over 10 years Dr. Simon has taken care of our pets and we are eternally grateful. We have 4 happy, healthy dogs thanks to the great healthcare provided by Dr. Simon and her staff. All 4 dogs are rescues and have had illnesses ranging from Cancer to Heartworms. Dr. Simons Veterinary skills prove her to be one of the finest Doctors of Veterinary Medicine in the country. We are so fortunate to be able to have her as our Veterinarian and highly recommend her services whenever possible.

Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! Dr. Jackie always takes her time with our dogs and makes sure that all questions are answered. Her staff is extremely professional and nice. Our dog, Beau, is being boarded there for an entire week and when I called to check on him after only 2 hours, the young lady on the phone was very sweet and understood that I was worried about Beau. She assured me that he was doing just fine and was in great hands. Thank you Dr. Jackie and the entire staff at Country Place Veterinary Clinic!!

I've been going to Dr. Jackie Simon with Country Place Veterinary Clinic since she first opened 20+ years ago. She has always taken excellent care of my babies and is so compassionate and caring. I have had to let a few of my babies go over the years and she was there for me and my babies with such a caring heart. I can't thank her and her staff enough. My sweet Molly May Sassy Pants who was a rescue on the verge of death has gone from skin and bones, heart worm positive and later on mammary cancer and losing an eye to a healthy, happy, cancer and heart worm free dog, all thanks to the awesome care of Dr. Jackie. I have seen her work miracles with my foster pups as well. I could go on and on about how awesome she is. My dogs mean the world to me and she understands how special they are.

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Jackie for several years. We have 4 (yes 4) rat terriers, two older dogs and two young pups. Dr. Jackie has provided excellent care and concern for each of them in their time of need. As you can imagine, four dogs have required care for several different kinds of routine and specific problems. The care at Countrywide has always been great. We are grateful for their expertise and kindness.

Nine years ago we brought him to the clinic with a severe back problem, expecting the worst. Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! Dr. Jackie always takes her time with our dogs and makes sure that all questions are answered. Her staff is extremely professional and nice. Our dog, Beau, is being boarded there for an entire week and when I called to check on him after only 2 hours, the young lady on the phone was very sweet and understood that I was worried about Beau. She assured me that he was doing just fine and was in great hands. Thank you Dr. Jackie and the entire staff at Country Place Veterinary Clinic!!

My sweet Molly May Sassy Pants who was a rescue on the verge of death has gone from skin and bones, heart worm positive and later on mammary cancer and losing an eye to a healthy, happy, cancer and heart worm free dog, all thanks to the awesome care of Dr. Jackie. I have seen her work miracles with my foster pups as well. I could go on and on about how awesome she is. My dogs mean the world to me and she understands how special they are.
