The staff is amazing! They have very decent pricing. My cat had an abscess on his back. Their gentle reassuring treatment helped my socially awkward fellow. Not only did they offer antibiotics but they also treated the abscess with red laser therapy. This red laser therapy helps his body to fight against the infection. Even with the need of having three shots and minor surgery their calming and loving hands kept him purring and even slobbering during his treatments. I would highly recommend cat owners to come to The Cat Doctor! I have been a pet owner all of my life . I have in the past 20 years had around four other veterinary clinics. Dr. Cooker and her staff are always friendly, professional and extremely proficient at their jobs. I have a Siamese that is special needs. He requires a special diet, anti anxiety meds and a lot of patience. He is prone to UTI's and has certain behaviors that manifest when he has one. Four years ago, he began to act aggressively and started lashing out. he was on edge constantly. I reached out to Dr. Coker that Saturday morning, it was a holiday weekend to boot. I brought my baby in and she and her staff watched over him as he screamed and clawed at them the whole weekend.... Dr. Coker treated him that same weekend and my baby came home with his new meds. She took her time, examined him, talked and listened to me, she truly cares for her feline patients AND their pet parents. She wants what is best for them. She and her staff helped me through the passing of my Beau and rescue of an abandoned kitten we brought home. She provides a loving and caring home for cats who have nowhere else to turn. And she does not turn a sick cat or worried parent away. Without Dr. Coker and her staff, my Ashby would not be here today, Beau would have suffered and Shadow would have become forgotten. The doctor's seem knowledgeable, place is clean given all the cats walking around. The only complaint is while I was there, I heard one of the doctor's talking to an employee like total garbage, and if that's no problem for you then great go there, but this is not a place for me after hearing that. The front desk lady is rude and unhelpful. Instead of helping guests in the better intrest of the clinic and consulting the veternarian herself , she makes judgements based off of her limited education on the field of veternary care. Ultimately, your milage may vary as the vet herself is okay. (As long as you do not get an interning vet, becuase they are unsupervised and miss basic parts of a checkup) Its a gamble coming here, and thats not something I want to do with my cats or my money. Can't say enough about how nice the staff and Dr. Coker were. I brought my extremely sick sphynx kitty to Dr. Coker on a walk in. She spent a lot of time discussing his illness, treatment, & the outcome with me. She took extra time showing me x-rays, books, etc. After staying overnight, I was able to pick my sweet boy up looking 200% better than when he came in. They have called and checked on him and provided numbers in case of an emergency relapse. I am so appreciative of her service and knowledge! Read Less

This place is an absolute sham. Dirty... filthy ... and stunk. If it smells bad, it's dirty. Spoke on the phone for 15 min setting up an appt discussing flight travel with cat. Our cat has severe anxiety with travel of any sort and also has IBD. Is is older but see's his vets regularly. We had no issue doing what was required for his sake. All was discussed over the phone well ahead of visit. Was told wouldn't be any problem to prescribe. Nothing wrong with cat however I was ...charged $50 for 5 min appt. they didn't even take a temperature, just had him come out to look at him and weigh. No script because they don't want to perscribe anything for kitty. Military members do not waist your time. No meds for travel in cabin... 5 out of 5 hands down. I took my little guy earl there this morning to get neutered. The girl at the front desk answered all my questions. Seriously, she is the best vet I've ever been to. Dr. Coker is the Gordon Ramsey of veterinary medicine in Shreveport Bossier. I don't make a lot of money, but I would spend my entire paycheck at this vet because she is worth it. I first met her when I found a stray kitten and took it to her because it had a uri. When I got a cat of my own I took her to Dr Coker and got a professional spay done and all of her shots. I've boarded my cat there before, and bless the staff because my cat is a massive asshole and they still took excellent care of her. I will never go to another vet. Love love love this facility! I adopted my sweet kitty only 2 days prior to having to take her in for medical aid. I met the Cat Doctor when my senior cat, Mouse, was referred by another veterinarian. It will be difficult to tell you in a few sentences how amazing this veterinarian and her staff are. They have went out of their way, above and beyond to make sure that my Mouse has everything she needs at the end of her life. She wasn't treated like a cat, or animal. Mouse was treated like a family member. Though my time with my "shadow", Mouse, of nearly 14 years is coming to a end, I will never forget Dr. Coker and her staff! They have proven to be knowledgeable, update with current tests and medications, compassionate, and they always return my phone calls as fast as they are able to. You can't go wrong here! Read Less

Have used this clinic off and on over a few years for my 5 cats. Was told that a Wood's lamp exam would cost me $49.50 office call per cat plus the $15.00 for lamp exam for ringworm. We just adopted a skittish stray with poor eyesight, and took him today for his checkup and shots. The office is immediately calming and full of healthy, happy cats lazing about on desks and furniture; the vibe is warm and comforting. Dr. Coker and her techs are kind and confident, and easily got the little one from freaked out and skittering around to nearly snoozing during his shots. My first time going in the past month. The good Doc is great. The staff...I just don't know. Nice enough, but not very knowledgeable. Have received conflicting information when I've called to check on things with questions, which is irritating. I'm conflicted between taking my cat back because I like the doctor, but I feel like the staff doesn't have the knowledge that it should.Read Less

All the staff and vet are great here! The vet called me and spoke with me about the status of my cat and the care that he was getting. He had to stay and extra day cause he had an allergic reaction, and she wanted to keep an eye on him. He got supremely good care. I liked that they only deal with cats and therefore are experts on all breeds of cats. Read Less
