I have used many Vets over the years rescuing minitaure schnauzers. A friend recommend Acadian Vet. For the last 5 years, I have driven a 100 mile round trip to see Brenda, Dr.Wayne, and office manager Faith. They know my girl's and make all of us very comfortable. We have had some serious issues with Molly and they will always call to check or give updates. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Love them!!!

WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY DOGS, AND I SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT I DID NOT WANT ANY OF THE EXAMS DONE. ALL I WANTED WAS THE SHOTS REQUIRED AND I BROUGHT MY OTHER DOG IN JU...

I ASKED MY SON TO TAKE THEM IN BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY TOLD THE STAFF WHAT I NEEDED DONE. WHEN THEY WENT IN THE BACK FOR EXAMS THEY TOLD MY SON THAT THEY WERE BOTH DUE FOR SHOTS. THEY DID SHOTS AND TEST ON BOTH ANIMALS AFTER I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM (ON THAT THE DOG THAT WAS ORIGINALLY GOING IN FOR SHOTS) NOT TO DO THE EXAMS. THEY ASKED HIM IF HE JUST WANTED TO GET THE SHOTS ON BOTH. HE SAID YES FIGURING THAT THE PRICE THAT WAS QUOTED WOULD BE THE SAME ON THE OTHER DOG. HE WAS NOT QUOTED ANY PRICES ON THE SHOTS GIVEN TO THE SECOND DOG OR QUOTED ON PRICES FOR THE MEDICINE THEY GAVE BOTH DOGS WHICH WAS AN EXTRA $150. SO INSTEAD OF PAYING $127.45 PLUS TAX MY SON HAD TO PAY $466. THAT IS STEEP FOR A SINGLE MOM ON A BUDGET. THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD HAVE DONE BOTH DOGS FOR THAT AT THE SAME TIME. THE OFFICE MANAGER CALLED ME BACK AFTER I CALLED AND COMPLAINED AND DID NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE OR WORK WITH ME IN ANY WAY FOR THE CONFUSION AND EXTRA EXPENSE THEY CAUSED. I ASKED IF I COULD TAKE THE MEDICINE BACK AND GET THE MONEY BACK SINCE I DID NOT WANT THE MEDICINE. SHE SAID THAT SHE COULD NOT TAKE ANY MEDICINE BACK ONCE IT LEFT THE BUILDING. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. From the time we walk in the door my dogs are ecstatic seeing the front office staff. They are always friendly and make one feel at home. Dr Rist's manner with my dogs is patient, compassionate and he always explains in detail whatever may be going on. The back office staff treat my dogs like they belonged to them. I highly recommend.

My cat was there for all shots, flea prevention treatment, and for spaying. Brought her back twice for patchy hairloss. First diagnosis, "she's neurotic, get her pheromones." The second time, "she has an allergy" (got a steroid shot) and worm treatment. Still losing hair. Called, was told "well, she has fleas." Which is it??? Meanwhile my poor kitty is licking herself bare. The staff seems friendly enough, but I don't think they know what they're doing. All that combined with providing poor information in general, I am changing vets. :(

I have used many Vets over the years rescuing minitaure schnauzers. A friend recommend Acadian Vet. For the last 5 years, I have driven a 100 mile round trip to see Brenda, Dr.Wayne, and office manager Faith. They know my girl's and make all of us very comfortable. We have had some serious issues with Molly and they will always call to check or give updates. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Love them!!!
