Bayou Animal Clinic

Slidell, Louisiana
General Info
Bayou Animal Clinic is a well-regarded part of the local veterinary community in Slidell. The Bayou Animal Clinic in Slidell knows that animals do observe and respond to human signals. Clinic pace stops in a clinic because Louisiana homes need emotional peace for the clinic to succeed when constricted voices and shaking hands. The placement of the room’s elements and their interrelation evoke a sense of static tranquility. The chairs are spaced apart to reduce pressure points. Exam tables need to be adjusted and positioned in a way that allows easy access for the students as well as enhanced visibility by the invigilators. Staff evaluate the breathing rates, vocal tones, and eye movements of potential adopters before they interact with the pets. This is because animals often look to humans for these cues. The deliberate use of silence. In several cases, the best way to initiate care is to stop and allow the pet to consider slower rhythms before proceeding. The Bayou Animal Clinic offers integrated veterinary health care services which incorporate organ evaluations and diagnostics, pain threshold determinations, and allergy identification as well as hydration status examination and energy-focused wellness assessments when warranted. Schedules include the visiting time for the volunteers to understand what animals require more attention. The tone of voice is important when communicating with animals. Studies show that anxious dogs and cats react better to lower and narrowed frequency bands, respectively. Post-visit briefings give detailed instructions on post-care targeted at the owners through tonal patterns; when to whisper, when to walk away, when to place the pets in sunlight, and when to let them rest in the darkened enclosures. These patterns support the body’s and mind’s ability to return to baseline. Bayou Animal Clinic seamlessly integrates the delicate thread of pet-owner relationships into the fabric of effective care, ensuring that every aspect is meticulously interconnected. Some of the popular services offered at this facility include ultrasound, wellness exams, laser therapy, and x-rays. Others are vaccinations, radiology (x-rays), in-house pharmacy, surgery, orthopedic surgery, cold laser therapy, and house calls. Whether it is implementing routine wellness plans or solving complex health issues, pet owners can rest assured that Bayou Animal Clinic strives to maintain the highest standards and keeps them informed in every step. The team is also passionate about growth and expansion in the industry, ensuring pets across Slidell and the entire United States region access quality care.

On my first visit, for my minuture Dachshund who was developing more and more problems due to her age. I wanted a doctor to explain her condition to me, not as if she's just another dog. She was more than my beloved pet. Dr Garcia talked to me with respect and in great detail, Some of the medication she needed in her last days he gave me free of charge. At no time did I feel I was being taken advantage of in that difficult time. His staff was equally caring and understanding. After that first visit I knew he would be my vet for life and now he sees over the care of my two dogs. Read Less

I made the mistake of using Bayou Animal clinic because I wanted to get my dog who was giving birth and had a puppy stuck to have the quality help she needed at her most delicate time. We recently moved here and our other vet is located two hours away. Dr. Eugene (a Buddy but not your friend) Garcia not only over anethetize my dog during a c-section which he took over an hour to start after we arrived as an emergency and no one else was in his clinic but he took thirty to forty minutes to begin delivering the puppies after he made the first incision. All of our puppies were born blue, or dead, and had to be seriously revived by his staff, thanks a million to Rebecca and Jackie. He also cut one of our puppies heads in three different places and told me that my dog had been shot with a BB gun when there wasn't any BB shots on my dog. And she hadn't been outside without constant supervision because she was big and pregnant. What he told me was far from the truth and when I went to my other vet and he told me that he cut the puppies head during surgery plain and simple. On Monday his wife told me face to face that a c-section would cost $350.00 on Wednesday only two days later he had me sign an estimation of cost sheet while my dog was being prepped for a c-section that read almost $900.00!!! In my opinion this vet in not only misleading but he is an awful vet. If you have a pet you love do not bring them to this man or to his clinic. When we got home I had to tube feed my puppies to keep them alive. They were still so drugged and weak. According to my experience he only cares about money and will hold your dog hostage until he gets you to obligate yourself. Also, in my opinion he does not care about establishing a long and healthy working relationship with the owners of the animals he treats, it's skin the sheep, get as much as you can out of someone and then the heck if they ever return. This is wrong. And the law isn't any better. They make it impossible to sue a vet. So, shop around for a vet before you go, like I thought that I did, but do not go to this one or you and your pet will be sorry. Read Less
