We have been going to Dr. Salles since we moved here in 1983. At that time he was a young pup, just out of vet school with his lovely fiance, Beth, working by his side. He has been with us through so many joyous occasions and unfortunately a lot of sad ones as well. You couldn't ask for a better friend or vet than Dr. Salles. His present staff Traci and Krista are truly awesome. Always there to answer a question, give a helping hand, or whatever you or your furry family member might need.

Best vet team around. My Millie has been going to Dr.Salles since she was a puppy. She is 10 1/2 now and is very happy and healthy. I wouldn't trust her with anyone else.

I just moved here from California and my dog got hurt playing ball Sunday night, not sure what happened but she wasn't jumping up on the couch or bed and was very timid. She's normally very active and loves to play, so I knew something was wrong when she would only lay down all day. I called Monday night before they closed, they gave me an appointment at 9 am for Tuesday. I came a little early to fill out paperwork. I was taken right back and the vet came in almost immediately. Everyone is very friendly and caring towards me and my dog. I was very nervous, but they explained everything to me and even gave me an estimate before doing anything. The vet also told me other options and what was to happen if they did or did not find something. I am so thankful for this vet! Will definitely be coming back with my baby!

I've brought my pets to Dr. Salles at Terry Parkway Animal Hospital for 16 years. There is not a more dedicated, knowledgeable veterinarian in the greater NOLA area! Dr. Salles has researched and consulted with experts in order to bring cutting-edge technology and medicine to his animal patients. He saved our 4 year cat with kidney failure and was able to extend his life an extra 8 years. I have total trust in Dr. Salles and his wonderful and helpful vet techs and would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet in the greater New Orleans area.

I am a long-standing client of Terry Parkway Animal Clinic and know Dr. Gerard Salles for over 25 years. His expert knowledge, dedication, devotion and loving care has kept my pets happy and healthy, and, as they aged and developed severe medical problems saved their lives. Dr. Salles is not only devoted to his patients, but his clients (pet owners) as well. He puts his patients and clients first and takes the time to explain a medical diagnosis and test results in layman's terms while explaining all options regarding treatments. Even when I simply had a problem acclimating a new pet to an existing one at home, Dr. Salles gave me expert advice that helped ease the transition. Dr. Salles and his staff at Terry Parkway Animal Clinic go above and beyond the call of duty. I don't have children, my pets are my kids and knowing Dr. Salles is always there for them and for me is the best! I won't take my dogs or cats anywhere else.

They don't come any better than Dr. Salles, Traci, and Krista! What a team! We have been taking our fur babies to Dr. Salles for a VERY long time and will continue as along as we have them. What made us realize that Dr. Salles was that SPECIAL vet was when our four month old Cocker Spaniel got into an ant pile on Easter Sunday! We called Dr. Salles' office and he met us at his office immediately to give "Val" a cortisone shot to make sure his throat didn't swell closed since his face was so swollen! Dr. Salles and his staff go above and beyond! Dr. Salles also diagnosed our Yorkie with liver shunt disease. It was the first case he had seen BUT after extensive investigation, he was convinced it was liver shunt disease and immediately sent us to the best doctor in the field! Our little Yorkie made 7 years old in November thanks to Dr. Salles' attention to details and his determination! We LOVE this doctor!

Dr. Salles is very kind, knowledgable, and really cares about the animals, very patient and will answer any question you have, he takes his time to talk and explain to you anything that you want to know.Also the vet technicians Traci and Krista are the best, they have helped me with pet insurance, important decisions, and endless questions.Every time I have a question or I'm worried about something I give them a call and they help me over the phone, and recommend what's best. Best thing that ever happened to a paranoid pet parent like me!So happy that I found such an amazing vet for my doggies

Recently I ended up fostering 4 abandoned puppies about three weeks old at the time. I am new to the area and needed to find a vet. I had a million questions and they were so kind and patient with me! Especially considering I had never gone in to see them and the questions were over the phone. They were very understanding about the cost and worked with me. I have been in twice now and every time it has been quick, relaxed and an enjoyable experience.

Yesterday I took my small dog in because a big dog bit him and his eye was hanging out. I had forgot my wallet at home (that was the last thing I was thinking of) when we get there they told me that they was going to have to remove his eye. I told the vet tech I would be able to bring them some money in the morning .she walked out came back with a bill for1028.00 I told her I could not pay that all at once . She ask how much can u pay now I told her I can have the money in the morning . The Vet Tech Got Very Nasty At This Point. And left the room and left us sitting in the room for 30 min she came back in threw a paper at my friend and said here are 2 emergency vet but the won't help u eather with out a down payment all of this in front of my 10 year old daughter. Dr. Salles, Krista, and Tracey are the BEST! They have always been there for us in the event of an emergency. I started going there about 20+ years ago when I adopted my first cat from someone who had used them as their vet. Shortly after I got "Smokey" he fell off a ladder in our garage and broke his hip. He had to have surgery. Upon returning home, the dr called occasionally to see how Smokey was doing. Smokey was 20 when he passed away a few years ago. Highly recommend!!!

Recently I ended up fostering 4 abandoned puppies about three weeks old at the time. I am new to the area and needed to find a vet. I had a million questions and they were so kind and patient with me! Especially considering I had never gone in to see them and the questions were over the phone. They were very understanding about the cost and worked with me. I have been in twice now and every time it has been quick, relaxed and an enjoyable experience.

My babies have been Doc's patients since 2008. He has done more than I can write here. The whole staff is amazing and has been a Godsend for our kitties and dogs.

Yesterday I took my small dog in because a big dog bit him and his eye was hanging out. I had forgot my wallet at home (that was the last thing I was thinking of) when we get there they told me that they was going to have to remove his eye. I told the vet tech I would be able to bring them some money in the morning .she walked out came back with a bill for1028.00 I told her I could not pay that all at once . She ask how much can u pay now I told her I can have the money in the morning . The Vet Tech Got Very Nasty At This Point. And left the room and left us sitting in the room for 30 min she came back in threw a paper at my friend and said here are 2 emergency vet but the won't help u eather with out a down payment all of this in front of my 10 year old daughter. Dr. Salles, Krista, and Tracey are the BEST! They have always been there for us in the event of an emergency. I started going there about 20+ years ago when I adopted my first cat from someone who had used them as their vet. Shortly after I got "Smokey" he fell off a ladder in our garage and broke his hip. He had to have surgery. Upon returning home, the dr called occasionally to see how Smokey was doing. Smokey was 20 when he passed away a few years ago. Highly recommend!!!
