We have been taking our pets to Falls Road Animal Hospital since the time we adopted time a few years ago. They were always treated well there but I had an issue with the long waits in the lobby with 5 or 6 other animals all at once, the prices, and the fact that we never saw the same vet twice. I took a shot in the dark with Hillendale based on the 2 reviews here previously and a lot of great reviews on Google. So far, we have been there 4 times. My mastiff had some kind of hair loss happening, plus he needed to get up to date on his shots. We saw Dr. Sprong (only works Fridays) for this and she prescribed him two medications for a 7 week course. It cleared the issue right up and because she suggested trying the less invasive and less expensive method first, we were able to avoid doing skin sample testing and blood work. Best part is that we had 3 9:30 am appts for him over this time span and each one was completed and I was home by 10:15 am. The prices were great, too - only paid full price for the office visit once (which was pretty low, $30-40 I think) and the second appt paid a discounted office visit rate ($20), and the 3rd appt there was no office visit fee.Recently we bought a puppy so we wanted to get our cat up to date on everything and also the puppy. We scheduled them both to go in at the same time and to see Dr. Miller. It was another very fast appointment that went smoothly and we got both pets up to date on immunizations and the puppy treated for worms by a prescription, a second prescription to treat any possible tick diseases, and a 6 month supply of heartworm tabs for $159....I mean you just can't beat that. Two of the last 4 prescriptions we've gotten for our dogs have been human antibiotics that we pick up at Rite Aid for a fraction of what they would cost if they were the animal versions. Dr. Mills was a very to the point kind of guy, total non-alarmist, and gentle with the animals. He had a good sense of humor and when we had a question the following day, we called the office and left a message at the desk to speak with a tech. Wouldn't you know that Dr. Miller called us right back and assured us everything was fine and told us to call any time with further questions. Just the fact that we could call the office and speak with the vet all in the same hour says a lot about this facility. Most places make you wait a day or so before anyone gets back to you if it's not an emergency, and usually the person who does call you back is just a vet tech. Though the facility is a no frills kind of place in the middle of a strip mall in a somewhat iffy area, the quality of service is above and beyond what I could have hoped for. All of the ladies that work there (I think Dr. Mills is the only male on site) are very nice and affectionate to the pets and personable with the owners. Last comment: I've never had to wait to see the vet here. Every time we walk in, check in, head to the check-up room, and are seen immediately. They really have their scheduling down and it's so nice to not have to worry about my mastiff interacting with other animals in the lobby. He is already stressed just by going to the vet and to then expose him to ill-natured pets or a lot of strangers really used to do a number on him. Now I don't have that worry! Read Less
