Brentwood Animal Hospital in Brentwood, MD is a full service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. At Brentwood Animal Hospital we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

I have read the mixed reviews and felt I needed to give my opinion here. I've brought my cocker spaniel mix, Djangodor (Django) here a few times over the years for different things. They treated my baby for an ear infections, the service was great! They were patient with Django and got him well both times. The bill was expensive but I don't mind spending it for my baby.
I get Djangodor's shots here and he was groomed there once. The grooming was ok, his nails weren't clipped enough and that bothered me. Djangodor and my grandmother's dog Pawn have hotel-ed here twice I believe. Both appeared to be well taken care of.
The facility is a home-turned-hospital and has inner city charm. Inside is clean and remodeled nicely. Don't let the curbside fool ya!
Overall... my experience has been very good! I give 4 stars only because the prices are very expensive. Quality of Care is 5 stars! My only advice is boost the curb appeal to the exterior.

The staff here is AMAZING. I went in on an emergency appointment because my baby Onyx (a 7 y.o. staffordshire terrier) had an ingrown claw. They were so gentle & patient with him (as he has an aversion to getting his nails clipped), not to mention very friendly. They allowed me to stay back there with them while they clipped, cleaned, & bandaged him up. It was my first visit there, but it will DEFINITELY NOT be my last! You can tell they love your babies like their own.

I take my cat to brentwood on a regular basis and the staff there is always helpful and knowledgeable.the last time I was there my cat had an upper respiratory infection and the techs there immediately knew and recognized his condition ,Dr.Manzoor gave the correct medicines for hazel and she was cured within a week of being treated .I just want to thank the entire staff for being so helpful from the receptionist to the techs.

We are VERY thankful for Brentwood Animal Hospital! Days after bringing home a new family member, a young Rottweiler puppy, we noticed her health started to abruptly decline. It was to our dismay, she was becoming deathly ill with Parvo. Brentwood Animal Hospitals staff saved my puppy's life and we will be forever grateful!!!!

I took my dog for boarding which I had done on several occasions when I returned to pick him up I was told he had ran away. My husband and I searched for our dog and found him near the pet hospital. ...
I took my dog for boarding which I had done on several occasions when I returned to pick him up I was told he had ran away. My husband and I searched for our dog and found him near the pet hospital. I requested a refund and after back and forth with the owner he finally decided to refund the boarding fee. When I got home I noticed my dog was limping so I took him to my vet the next day. His paws were very raw. I notified the owner again and he said he had to talk to his vet and return my call. As of this posting I have not heard anything from the owner. I would advice anyone to think twice about boarding your pet at this establishment.

so far, so good. read mixed reviews, but my experience has been pleasant. the staff and vets seem very courteous and keen on customer service. It's not in the city, just 1/2 mile beyond the DC line, but it has an in-city feel in terms of appearance and size. Which is fine for me b/c I live in the city, so I am use to it. If you live in the deep open suburbs then you may be taken a back by the "house converted into a business" cozy fit. Although most do not realize that the building next to it is also part of the hospital. Prices are tad high, but again cheaper than what is offered in the city (cheaper than a more rural located competitor - but what you save on price you waste in gas and time).
My advice ( and I've dealt w/ vets in North Carolina, Florida, deep country Upper Marlboro MD, and Capitol Hill DC), if you live in the city (NE DC) or just 2 miles outside the city, this place is for you. If you live and are use to out in the country, my roads don't get plowed when it snow suburbs, you will be turned off by the appearance, and thus will not have an open mind to enjoy the quality service.

Everyone there has been nice and professional. The doctors are kind to my dog Cash. They are very helpful and insightful. They talk fast and are not for the small talk. I'm ok with that as they do there job and are extremely polite. These guys are running a good business and I have been going to them for 3 years now. I get beautiful Christmas cards from them every year, they email me about scheduled vaccinations and sent me a ID card for Cash with his info. I would refer them to anyone with a pet.

Love the staff... they are truly dedicated and knowledgeable about their craft. Maria, Asha and Peter always go above and beyond the call of duty to help an animal in need. Hospital also affiliated with Alley Cat Rescue... which does an excellent job at helping homeless cats (and even some dogs) by providing them with much needed medical care, love, food and shelter. They also work diligently to find them their forever homes...

my cat had surgery there and is now on his second infection. they gave the wrong dosage of antibiotics and the stitches were loose. also, after explaining he was having trouble swallowing his medicine...
my cat had surgery there and is now on his second infection. they gave the wrong dosage of antibiotics and the stitches were loose. also, after explaining he was having trouble swallowing his medicine/food/water, they told me "well he needs to take his meds". thanks for the help guys.
i am now seeing another vet to fix this.
THEY ARE NOT UPFRONT WITH CHARGES. i paid for the surgery and everything and when i went to get him, they added on $80 worth of things that they did not tell me about!!

The outside looks like a dump, the insides wishes it looked as good as outside. There is a lot of garbage outside and its not particularly clean inside, there is a bit of a smell but I'll let it slide...
The outside looks like a dump, the insides wishes it looked as good as outside. There is a lot of garbage outside and its not particularly clean inside, there is a bit of a smell but I'll let it slide cause it's kinda expected with a place that has animals. Anyway i wont bore you with a story but in my opinion its dirty, expensive, service isn't the best, the vet needs better bedside manor and i know i said it but its pretty expensive. I'm most likely not going back

I have read the mixed reviews and felt I needed to give my opinion here. I've brought my cocker spaniel mix, Djangodor (Django) here a few times over the years for different things. They treated my baby for an ear infections, the service was great! They were patient with Django and got him well both times. The bill was expensive but I don't mind spending it for my baby.
