7/5/2018 I called Everhart Veterinarian Hospital and I was Ask how Quickly can I get there? After (3) days doing heat wave my cat just keep on sleeping, I knew then something was wrong, Bing Bong is very Active Cat will be " 3" years old in August . I started to brushing him all over especially his tail...when I noticed something white on his anus moving about the size of grain of rice ... the staff told me it was some kind of worm...but I need to bring it in to be examine so they'll know what medicine to give and I did,  it was called Hook worm. Dr.Taylor Hays examine my cat from head to toe and inform me that they did a Intestinal Parasite Exam as well. I was so Grateful that he took his time with my cat. Yesterday, my husband & I brought our cat Zippy in with urinary problems. He's never experienced them before & having once had a cat who has, I was terrified. I always try to see Dr. Goodman, but since he's so busy, that isn't always possible. Dr Falke took care of us yesterday. She was extremely helpful in making our kitty more stable & comfortable. The tech (whose name I'm embarrassed to admit I can't remember at the moment) was also wonderful. They were gentle & thorough with him & comforting with us. This morning, we had to take Zippy back & met Dr. Menefee. She was absolutely wonderful- very thorough & took all the time we needed to answer our questions & solve the problem. We brought Boh into Everhart the same day we found him wondering the streets. He was malnourished and not in great health. Everhart worked with us every step of the way to make sure our then stray turned into the healthy, happy boy he is today. The staff is super friendly and attentive, most will know the history of your pet without even having to reference your file. The facility is always tidy and clean, with water and coffee at the ready while you wait. The waiting room is super spacious, so that you can keep your animal away from others even when it is busy. Dr. Hays, and the various animal techs and reception staff, all do an excellent job.  (I've spoken with the Pasadena location and its front desk personnel seem top-notch, too.)  I originally took my older cat to the wonderful Dr. Everhart, but then we moved from the area; returning recently also meant a return to EVH and its beautiful "new" facilities.  I note, however, that the outstanding quality of the veterinary service hasn't diminished a bit, as Dr. Hays took his time to explain what might be happening with my beloved boy -- worst-case and best-case scenarios (thankfully, his was the "best-case" outcome).  Either way, I'm convinced that EVH vets and the staff are as good as it gets, and I recommend them to everyone who asks.  Great job, folks! This is a First Class modern Vet Hospital. I have been coming here for many years. All the vets are highly trained and knowledgeable. I try to get Dr. Key for all my cats. She has a wonderful holistic approach and is trained in acupuncture. Dr. Goodman is my go to surgical doctor. He performed a "nose job" on my smooshy faced Bombay cat-Jeffery. I just left from Everhart and I will be taking all my fur babies there. 9:30 appt was out by 10:15. The staff and doctor were friendly and the customer service was excellent. The bill was even better I was prepared to shell out a few hundred dollars and left with a few hundred dollars. Oh and the lobby is better than the lobby at my doctors office. The vet physicians here are very good. I visited this place twice. First was to bring my male cat for wellness visit and the second time was to bring my female cat who has health issues. Seen by two different vets and they both excellently and thoroughly explained what's going on with my cats health. Will definitely bring back my cats here for future examination . I've been an Everhart "patient" through three dogs now. The practice is not close to my home, but Dr. Goodman and his staff, especially Dr. Falke --- she's up on the latest everything! --- are absolutely top notch. Saturday and Sunday hours means you can count on the practice being there for you (unless it's an after hours ER requirement). My dog Mia is an epileptic which we have found out about two months ago. One night she had 16 seizures in 7 hours . We rushed her to Everhart and called when we were about 5 minutes out to let them know we didn't have an appointment. The staff was at the door waiting too rush my girl back and ultimately save her life . Dr Hayes is our doctor and he has been nothing but amazing and very knowledgeable. We are so pleased with the hospital!!! We moved here from the West Coast and had a very fair, honest and reasonable vet there. These people are beyond awesome!!! Currently my husband and I are at the airport moving to Germany with the military. At the counter checking in the AMC people say that we need to either 1. Buy a 10 digit reader or 2. Rechip our dog which takes days due to requirements in Germany. We are unable to do number 2, so we get on the horn and beg and plead people to buy theirs. I had a great experience at this hospital. I am currently dog sitting, and one of the dogs got very sick (vomiting and diarrhea) :( so I called this hospital to see if I could bring him in. Luckily, they're open until 5pm on Saturdays, which is great. The receptionist was very kind, helpful, and efficient. I got an appointment, easily got the records faxed over from the dog's normal vet, and everything was taken care of easily. They gave my pup great care for a great price. I would definitely return! We live in Northern Virginia and travel to Everhart. The facilities are beautiful and the staff is professional! Our favorite doc is Dr. Key. She  is an experienced animal acupuncturist. Absolutely worth your time to drive to this clean, well run Animal Hospital. Dr. Key saved our dog after he ate bad food and nearly poisoned himself. She kept us calm and assured us he was going to be okay. He was hospitalized for 8 hours. We were surprised at how affordable this event was! Thank you Everhart for making this possible!Our dog also sees Dr. Key for his protein allergy along with a grass allergy. Before Dr. Key, Cody would scratch, lick his body and bite his feet. Dr. Key's recommendations have all turned up successful results. Changing his diet, and wiping off his paws after each walk has helped keep our sweet boy happy. He now eats Natures Balance Veggie along with veggies as treats. His ears are clear, his scratching is now normal and when the biting begins we give him a Zyrtec. On occasion we give him an oatmeal bath or an antifungal treatment bath to be proactive with the licking. Whenever I smell a starchy smell I wipe his paws with microbiotic antifungal pads. Like others have written, there really aren't enough stars for Everhart.  For years, we used a vet who came to the house to give dog (and dogs) vaccinations, but if anything complex happened, he'd direct me to go to someone over at Pet ER or another vet.  (I detest Pet ER & have a review up.)  I'd heard things for years about how good Everhart was and after another vet I wanted to see was booked, I headed there.My dog ended up having a very complex condition.  In a short time, he was a regular.  I have had four dogs and in my adult life, with plenty of vet visits, and nothing compares to Everhart.  They are kind, compassionate, fairly priced, competent, and able to provide alternative treatments if you're interested.My only regret is that didn't go to them sooner. My cat Dexter is one of their best and most frequent patients. He has seen every vet in the practice at least once, and as his owner, I can say that I have complete faith and trust in all of them. They are compassionate and kind and treat him exactly how they'd treat their own pet. He is affectionately referred to as "our problem cat" but no matter what weird medical issue he decides to come up with, the vets at Everhart always find a solution -- at a price I can afford. They are so great and so caring of my baby boy Jake Aiello. Like last night I found round worm in my boys poop. I called and spoke to Heather and she told me to come right away. When I got there they took the worm and stool right back and they started what they had to do to get my boy the right meds to cure him of worms. I started asking questions and the girls up front we're right there to answer my questions and get me the right flea and tick meds and a the best heart worm med for my boy... They are alert and def care about the pets that come in there. Amanda at the front desk is the sweetest and totally loves her job and helping the parents of their fur babies. Oh and so sweet to the fur babies that come In.. She comes from behind the counter and interacts with the fur babies and talks to the parents. The doctors are amazing also... My dog had a rash over his eyelid and took him to our regular vet. We had a horrible experience from our regular vet where 3 people grabbed, held him down and fed pills. My dog was traumatized from the event and stopped eating, drinking, and wasnt himself. Later, he whined and cried as we tried to pick him up or pet him. I went to the Annapolis Emergency Vet center to make sure he is OK and he was OK physically. On Monday, he is still not himself and we visited the Everhart Vet hospital.Dr. Keys was amazing and she sat down on the floor to eye level with my dog. She was very gentle, caring and my dog was able to relax. We got bloodwork, x-ray so we can figure out what was wrong with him. She also called next day to follow up with me to ensure if he is doing better and I really appreciated it!I will be coming back and Dr. keys will be a primary care for our dog!Thank you Everhart Vet!!! Best care any pet of mine has ever received!!! My 8 month old Chihuahua/ min pin mix Fred broke both his front legs trying to get to the cats food. And this place is very affordable. I paid $70 for two meds & the check up. I drove 30 minutes to get here but it was definitely worth it. They have taken my dog twice for emergencies. Once for ingesting Ibuprofen and once for a cut on his nose that required staples. They are always fairly quick about getting to you even just for a check up. Their hours are also very convenient. My dog is never scared to come to the vet or be taken to the back. We love Dr.Notarangelo!! We take our dog Emma and three cats Monty, Maverick, & Pippin' to her for their wellness and sick visits. She's alway been very helpful and understanding of our decisions for each of our pets. I cannot recommend her enough!!She handled the passing of our cat Coco with care and respect. I remember going in there with a very very sick Coco and worried that I would hear the other staff talking and laughing in the back while she was being put to sleep. I was in a very fragile state and had to make a very hard decision to end poor Coco's suffering. I didn't hear any of the talking or laughing. I really appreciated that. If I had to say there was a con to the hospital is sometimes (not all) it's hard to get a late/evening appointment for my pets if it's something is like to get seen but isn't a dire emergency. They always seem to be busy in there so I'm sure it's just a large client base there that could cause the delay in scheduling. Other than that everything is fantastic!!! Read Less

My neighbors had recommended Everhart to me so when my cat recently suffered from gastritis this was my chance to start a new with a new vet as it was turning out I couldn't go to my former vet without dropping $200 just to walk through the door. Everhart is wonderful!!! I got an appointment for the same day I called, all of the staff, from reception to the vet, were so sweet. The doctor gave me many treatment routes but recommended the most conservative route first with options to reevaluate with Labs and imaging later if need be (wasn't necessary, she was spot on with her treatment and kept costs down for me). The tech took time with me to teach me the best techniques to get medicine into my cat (cause, you know, cats). After an exam, subcutaneous fluids for rehydration, and 3 medications to take home, the total was only $87.00!!! And and and a few days later the veterinarian called to check up on my cat!!! Very disrespectful of our time, had us wait for 30 minutes before someone thought to inform us that the doctor was in an emergency. 15 minutes after that I decided I had enough and while I was driving away I got a call fron the trying to tell me it was my fault because my appointment was actually scheduled for 10 minutes after the time I had arrived. Not sure if they where trying to tell me that they intented to make me wait 45 minutes instead of 55 or that me arriving earlier made them forget about me but I am positive I had the right time since I made a note of it the moment I scheduled the appointment. Only been here one other time and had a decent experience but for what they charge you'd expect A LOT more, never again you and your pets deserve better.Read Less

December 8, 2015 To Whom It May Concern, Im writing to tell you about an experience that my husband and I had with your staff back in the summer. When we brought our dog, Layla, into the office on July 11th, I honestly did not believe that I would be bringing her back home. We adopted Layla in 2001 and she was already a year or two old at the time. Over the past year or so, both her hearing and eyesight had gotten worse. She had a bad heart. She was thinning out in the back. But Layla was still very much a part of our family. She still had spunk. She looked forward to going on walks until she couldnt anymore. She loved her treats. When we brought Layla to the office in July, things looked grim. She wasnt eating or drinking properly. She wasnt even getting up under her own power anymore. It was very upsetting to see her in such a state and I could only imagine how she felt. When Donyeal called us to go back to an exam room and he saw poor Layla lying on the floor on a sheet, he did not hesitate to help. He spoke to her gently and gave her a pet before gingerly picking her up and taking her to the room. It made me feel better to see someone taking as much care with my pet as I would imagine he would treat his own. When he had to take Layla in the back for testing, he didnt just come back to the room and say shes in the back and we ran these tests rather, he came in and told us that Layla was resting comfortably and he even cleaned her up because she had an accident on the car ride to the office. Very simply, he made us feel at ease. Dr. Notarangelo examined Lalya with the utmost care and ran some tests. It turned out that Layla had a bad infection. She spoke to us about our options, but it was more than that. She helped us to make an informed decision, not just an emotional one. I knew that she had considered Laylas age and condition and I truly believe that she helped us make the best possible choice. We opted to try some medication and take Layla home. Im happy to say that she was right. After a few doses, Layla was back to her old self again. Her appetite returned and she was drinking better. She was even getting around under her own power and eating her treats that she enjoyed so much. For a time, we had our Layla back. Sadly, Layla passed away on August 20th. It was her heart that gave out in the end. Because of the care and compassion of the staff at Everharts, we had another month with our beloved dog. She passed away in a place that was familiar, with the family that she loved...and who also loved her. I can not thank your staff enough for the care and compassion that we received not only on that summer day, but every time we visit the office. By far the best veterinary experience I have ever had. My 7 year old English bulldog was having severe constipation and began throwing up. I took her to our usual vet and they gave us meds to stop the vomiting but nothing for the constipation. We came home and she got worse throughout the night. She was having such a rough time so I brought her to Everhart for a different course of treatment. What an awesome experience from the second we walked in. The facility was clean and equipment was updated.  They got us in on a Sunday and gave her an enema after a very thorough exam and X-rays. After two hours she was feeling much better. Every step was explained to me, the X-rays were gone over in detail and pricing was upfront. Vet trips like this are never cheap, but it helps to have a heads up about what you are going to shell out. As I was leaving, the staff made sure I had some extra doggie pads and a sheet to cover my back seat just in case she had an accident. I usually don't write reviews. I felt compelled to sit down and write a review of Everhart Veterinary Hospital. My pets have been patients of Everhart for almost 8years. I live in Columbia and it was kind of hard to find a vet who would see pit bulls. I called Everhart to make my first appointment and asked if they treat pit bulls. I was so pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic YES. I took my puppy in and was blessed by the entire experience.The lobby was so clean and inviting. The staff greeted me with a smile. We were escorted to a room and when Dr. Lewis came in, she sat on the floor to be eye level with my dog. I knew at that moment that this would be the vet that we would use from now on. When we had to have one of our dogs euthanized I called them afterwards and the staff cried with me. I thought they would be upset because we had to put the dog to sleep over aggressive behavior and they weren't. They understood and were very kind and compassionate. When we got a new puppy 3 years ago, we immediately took her to Everhart for her first checkup. Dr. Lewis took the puppy all over the hospital to introduce her to all of the staff. Dr. Lewis has left the practice and before she did, she gave me the names of several vets to choose from and told me all about them so we could make our choice of a new Dr. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. My cat had to have a major surgery and had to stay at the hospital for over a week. They staff called me twice a day to give me updates. They took amazing care of him and when he had a small relapse, they urged to me bring him in immediately. They saved my cat's life. The entire staff is educated and experienced. They know how to address situations that most other vet hospitals would be scratching their heads at. They never make you feel bad if you have missed a symptom in your pet. They treat every person with dignity and respect, no matter how you are treating them. If you are looking for a vet hospital that cares about your pet, Everhart is the place for you. Read Less

Best vet in town!  I have been to good and not so good veterinarians, and I can hands down, without a doubt tell you Everhart is the best! Dr. Goodman and his team are amazing, caring professionals that treat your best friends as if they are their own.  I have a senior dog with joint/hip arthritis problems and they have helped her continue to live a happy and healthy life, increasing her mobility while keeping her pain to a minimum.  Even the front desk staff is friendly, accommodating and follow up quickly should you need a call back.  . This place was such a pleasant surprise and a saving grace for my dog and me.  I needed to take my dog in due to a scary issue that developed with his eye, and I was afraid that I'd never find anywhere on a Sunday that wouldn't put us in major debt or rush us through like cattle.  We have just moved to the area and hadn't gotten established with a vet yet, so I was hoping to find somewhere that I could take him for follow up afterward.  I was encouraged by the reviews, and they were all so right!  Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and very helpful.  They let me know the price of the exam up front on the phone, which I also appreciated.  It was less than most places I'd been at $48 for non-emergency appointments and $78 for emergency appointments.  When we got there, I explained that my dog has anxiety and that it can turn into aggression toward other dogs, and they offered to get a room ready for him, which we gratefully accepted.  I did notice that the way the waiting area is set up is awesome for dogs that don't necessarily want to have other strangers and dogs right on top of them.  Lots of space and not a bunch of chairs facing each other.  We were seen in a timely manner, and everyone was very personable with us and our dog.  Dr. Holmes saw us, and I felt he was thorough without trying to run every test under the sun.  He did the appropriate test to quickly diagnose the problem, explained his plan, and answered our questions.  We never felt rushed or guilty for not noticing the problem sooner.  The medicines were all explained thoroughly, and the tech even demonstrated how to apply the ointment they'd prescribed for his eyes.  At checkout, I was prepared for a huge bill since he'd been given three medications and those tend to add up, but it was less than $150!  On a Sunday!  We have a follow up appointment next week, and I am so grateful that we found somewhere nearby that we can count on having such a good experience. Wonderful place. Great prices. Friendly staff & expert vet.I was concerned about switching my vet; I liked the small, local hospital with friendly staff that I had been going to before, however, they quoted me a large amount for my adult cat's teeth extraction, so I wanted to get a 2nd opinion.Based on location and yelp, I went to Everhart. It has a large front office and I was at first turned off by the lack of personality. However, they got my records from my other vet easily, saw me quickly, and charged me less for the visit than I was initially quoted over the phone. Dr. Faulke was very thorough in her exam, she asked questions, and the estimate for the teeth extraction was *significantly* less than the other place. She took the time to go over the estimate with me, line by line, and was very real with me about pricing and how it compares. I had a very good experience, and I'll be doing my teeth extraction with Everhart. If they continue to be as amazing as that first visit, I'll be switching over. :) Read Less

Dr. Falk is awesome, and her team of techs are also awesome.I appreciate it when techs love my dog, in a sincere, sweet and respectful manner... and they all do! :)When I asked questions, I was given clear, helpful answers. When I asked for details about prices, services, preps, etc. I was given complete and detailed answers (which is more than I can say about other places).I will continue to bring my dog here for anything that she may need! These guys are the best.  I have taken two animals here: my rabbit Hopscotch (RIP), and my cat cookie.  Both time with the exact same injury - a broken leg.  I think hopscotch convinced cookie to jump from a table and cookie suffered the same injury that she did.  Stupid older rabbit sister!  The vets here were awesome, did everything they could to take care of my pets, and were very up front about fees and potential issues.  The space is clean and well lit, and if you read Hemingway than you know that sometimes all you need is a clean, well lighted place.I cannot recommend these guys enough if you pet is having problems.  Seriously, every other vet is just a pale shadow of what these guys can accomplish. IF DOGS COULD TALK, my chi-chi would be screaming: "I HEART EVERHART!!!"Dog owners know their furry friends like people know their kids! I can tell my dog LOVES this place and LOVES the staff, and the vets! Every time she comes here, she knows it! And is hopping up and down like an energizer bunny on redbull, and wagging her tail like she wants it to come off! She's typically not friendly to strangers, but HERE, she actually WANTS to be held by everyone! WAIT! Have I told you about the design and architecture? On top of an absolutely inspiring interior design (formerly a car dealership, cleverly transformed into a veterinary clinic), the service from front staff, to technicians, to vets is indescribably ... PERFECT! They do not push you to buy any products, prescriptions, or procedures. They show compassion, respect, and knowledge, explaining everything throughly and taking their time with your pet, and handling them with the utmost care. And the clinic is always squeaky clean from front entrance, to lobby, all the way to the individual examination rooms!If you need supplies of any kind, you can call in advance and you can always count that your package is ready for you when needed! If there is an emergency, they always have been accommodating! I was relieved that they are open 7 days a week with after hours emergency numbers!Our vet was Dr. Jacqueline Falke, who I jokingly call her the spokesperson for Milk Bones, but don't quote me on that! I do know she and one of her dogs were photographed on the back of the boxes! Sometimes when our vet is unavailable (because the clinic was out-of-state so we could only go on the weekends), whoever was working that day always showed the same level of knowledge and respect and care as our beloved Dr. Falke. You will feel rest assured if you bring your pet here!This clinic was more than an hour out of our way, but we refused to go elsewhere! If you want the BEST for your pet, too, you will want to take them here! This clinic should set the bar for ALL veterinary clinics in the WORLD!  I am very sad it is now 10 hours drive away from us! Clearly, this is THE BEST of THE BEST of THE VETS!!!We've just moved to Toronto, and in search for a new vet.
