Every appointment involves a detailed physical examination which entails checking the temperature, general skin condition, joint flexibility and the alertness of major body organs like ears and gums. Behavioral patterns and potential signs will be recorded to check the alertness level. Each time a pet visits a clinic, veterinarians have an opportunity to create a comprehensive long-term profile that evaluates the animal’s general health and behavioral patterns. Carrolltown Veterinary Hospital provides the following services: preventive care and diagnostics, vaccinations, surgical consultations, senior wellness planning, and nutritional guidance. Veterinary care plans need to evolve accordingly—from an itchy indoor cat with chronic allergies to a super athletic dog that greatly benefits from regularly scheduled hikes. Families establish routines and schedules around school pick-ups, travel schedules, and fluctuating work hours. The research clinic enhances healthcare delivery by refining the organization of annual visits and follow-ups on a yearly basis to ensure steady quality and reliability. The team repeatedly analyses behaviour-based insights as an attempt to iteratively refine the system to keep the owners engaged and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Carrolltown Veterinary Hospital assists Maryland families, including those in Eldersburg, to develop pet care routines that provide stability through the familiarity of patterns while embracing necessary adaptations. They are devoted to preventive care, early detection of diseases, and timely treatment. Clients appreciate the transparency, educational support, and tailored advice they receive. We've used this office for several years now, and do not regret a moment. They've helped us along every life stage for various pets. They really took care of us when our first 2 dogs passed away, and made sure our pet and human filter members were as comfortable as possible. Our new dogs have been taken care of by this office as well, and we couldn't be more pleased. There are other vet offices in town, but we have no reason to search elsewhere. They are great! Read Less

I'm with Dachshund Rescue of North America and I've have been taking my personal pets and rescued dachshunds to the Cat & Dog Hospital for five years now. They have always worked with me to give our rescue great prices and great service. Their surgery and dentistry prices can't be touched by anyone in this area. I know because I've made a lot of phone calls getting estimates. I left my overpriced vet in Ellicott City because they wouldn't even give me a 10% discount on services for my foster dogs. I have nothing but respect for the vets and staff at the Hospital. These are people who give back to the community and don't charge the outrageous prices that others do. Many of the dogs I bring to them are older with many health problems. The vets are so kind to these little senior citizens that it is very touching. I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else. I could tell you story after story of their kindness to me and my dogs. They are like my extended family because they are always there when I need them. Always! So if you want excellent care at reasonable prices , a choice of four excetional vets anda caring staff , I highly recommend the Hospital. You will not be disappointed. Read Less
